I wanted to thank Beverly & Beth for whipping us a number of boxes of individual bunt cakes for me to take around as a token of appreciation from Dr. Rashti and his team, to the amazing community of medical professionals who provide healthcare to women in Santa Barbara. The medical office staff lit up when I came through the door and they saw the Nothing Bunt Cake red ribbon around the box - although there were a few groans from some women who are only a month into their New Year's diet resolution (including yours truly, who could not resist the "bonus" cake Beverly insisted on giving me (Oh well, shucks ok, if you insist"). It's not true. Nothing Bundt Cakes has other things for sale, but "Bundt Cakes & More!" or "Bundt Cakes Plus" is not quite as catchy. You see, they have cake related gifts, cards, and sundries. But what the hell, aren't we really here for the Bundt cakes anyhow? I've been the benefactor of several cakes over the past ten years. And yeah, I loved them...but I love all moist cakes homespun or otherwise. I love pies (aka "The Pie Guy"), and cookies, and brownies, and...and...and. But it wasn't until recently that I had a grad occasion to purchase my own, and it was so good, I went back a week later "just because". With sizes of 8" or 10" bundts, mini-bundts (1-2 servings), and bundlets (serves as a dozen only, but you can try most all flavors), so they've enough choices for your party of 1, or 20. Carrot cake is my favorite, but also good are the Lemon, and Red Velvet. I vow to try all of the 15 varieties. The cake is so moist, and the frosting is above and beyond. Yep. I love it. read more

In the last week I've already eaten two bundt cakes from here. I would go here over other cupcake and sliced cake shops in town. I've actually been craving it everyday since eating my first bundtlet. The bundtlet is a perfect portion for one or two people to share as a snack. The cake is very moist, fluffy, rich in flavor, and pretty sweet without being overly saccharine. Even my mother who is critical of desserts ate her entire birthday bundtlet (you get one free on your birthday with email subscription). You can taste how much sugar and cream cheese went into each cake; it's an ideal combination for a sweet tooth. The shop operation is cutesy and professional with girly decorations and a daily rotating sample flavor. My favorite so far is by far the white chocolate raspberry. Lemon is good if you're into that, and marble would have to come in third. I look forward to coming to Nothing Bundt Cakes again very soon, like maybe tomorrow. read more

Coming from someone who doesn't enjoy sweets that much, I love this place. It's such a cute little shop and they always have delicious samples everytime you walk in! The workers are always charismatic and bubbly, and extremely patient. Quan persuaded me to try the white chocolate raspberry bundt cake which was sooo good! The cakes have the perfect spongey texture complementing the frosting well. And the wrappings are adorable too! Amanda was nothing short of delightful!! I walked in and was immediately greeted with a red velvet cake sample. It was simply moist and delicious. It was a bit sweet but would be lovely with a cup of tea or coffee. As a single bite snack however it was perfectly sweetened. I recently lost my wallet, which was found and I wanted to do something nice for the good Samaritan when I went to pick it up. Amanda asked all the right questions to better help assist me and let me know that they do cute little wraps of their bundlets with a bow, flower, thank you flag, and a card. She helped pick out the ribbon color and flower that would look best and I completely agree with her tastes. A red ribbon with a sunflower is a very classic look. I bought an 8" chocolate turtle cake and it was the hit of the party. The caramel, pecans, and moistness of the cake was amazing. When I went in I also sampled their red velvet (yes they have samples, yes you need to try them), and would buy a bundtlet for myself of that! I still really want to try their cinnamon swirl, so you best believe I will be buying one for myself soon. I was at a 1yr old bday party in Bakersfield, Ca and I was served a slice of the chocolate chip cake, I tried a bite to be polite and OMG, I ate the whole thing and took a couple of the mini cakes home for later. I asked where the cake came from and was told Nothing Bundt Cakes which I realized we also had in Goleta, Ca. So 2 weeks later, on my birthday I made it a point to go get 2 of the small chocolate cakes. The store was super cute and very clean, with the cakes beautifully displayed. Took my cakes home, and enjoyed them over the course of a couple days. I'll probably never get cake from anywhere else ever again lol Idk how they make these cakes so moist and that icing so perfect. Some of the most moist cakes you'll ever taste. I think I have tried almost every flavor and not one has disappointed. Red velvet is my favorite but they really are all winners. The red velvet has chocolate chips in it and comes with cream cheese frosting. They graciously brought their wares to VAFB and partnered with the base to have a booth at the Spring Festival. I was lucky enough to have one of their little bundt cakes from the tea tent. I love their bundtlets so much. I have tried 6 flavors so far and lemon and double chocolate chips are my favorites! Lemon is especially refreshing, while double chocolate chips is on the super sweet side. The staffs are nice and always encourage you to try the samples available. The actual cake is a bit more moist than the samples. Be sure to sign up for their mailing list, they have promotions pretty often, like buy 1 give 1 -- supposedly to your friends... My reason for writing this review is due to the bad service I received. I have never had issues in the 4-5 years of ordering but today I had a birthday decorated bundt cake order which all they did is put a birthday flag and a greeting card. I called the shop to see if we can fix issue and asked if the supervisor can call me back since we were going to sing Happy Birthday to my wife and I never received a call. I was resistant to trying it because I thought the name was too cute. I was not expecting much, having been jaded by the ridiculousness of the cupcake fad, and had been under-impressed by cup cakeries and their course-crumbed,dry, flavorless overrated cake products. I'm not usually a big fan of chain pastry shops, but Nothing Bundt Cakes, especially this location, definitely breaks the mold. ;-) First off, when you walk into the store you are instantly hit with the delicious smell of freshly baked cake, but even better is the charming decorations and retail that line the walls and shelves of this store. The owners/operators have given this shop an amazing curb appeal. Most importantly though is the taste of the cakes! Oh my god!
