Chile I heard about the biscoff cake and tried to get it one other location but they didn't have it when I went. I was determined since it was a mere couple days before it was ending. I called ahead just to make sure. Walked in, two workers, 4 customers ahead of me. One of which was so damn indecisive, she monopolized one worker while the line was steadily growing behind me. (Hispanic with accent) Refused to take my order over the phone - wanted me to order online - when I told her I was not at home - she then said "you'll have to pay over the phone then" you could tell by her tone .., she wasn't happy about being there and was going to make it difficult to order. She then wanted me to go online and pick out the cake.. I called back and described the picture - and described it to her / birthday, pink flower, two sticks with a pennant and she refused to take the order. Just discovered this location that's close to home! It's also located down from Vintage Park in the same center I frequent because of the Whole Foods. Do NOT ever ever apply to work here the management is so unprofessional and they will treat you unfairly. I worked at one for almost 3 years and was never treated fairly by my general manager. We always had people quitting because of her and every time their resignation letters mentioned that she was the problem she tried to make it seem like she wasn't and the employee was when that was not the case. Even tho i was one of the longest employees there she would always have newer employees take my shifts and switch me to different positions to give those shift to the newer employees. She would talk behind employees backs about them when she had mentioned many times to not talk about other employees. I don't frequent this spot to get my Bundtlet fix on, because there is a closer store on my normal commute, but they're equally as good in overall quality. The cake samples are the perfect bite and I could probably snack on the entire tray if left unattended and if I had a refreshing beverage to wash down those tasty little squares. The folks are very friendly and have always been helpful during my visits. There was a hiccup during one occasion when I picked up some Bundtlets and a greeting card, but for whatever reason, one item did not make it inside the stapled bag when I opened it back at home. I phoned in my concern and she took my info and said they would remedy it when I visited again. I didn't return after a few weeks because I was out of town, but they were really nice about it and didn't look at me sideways or make me jump through hoops over my minor issue. Why would anyone get excited over a plain bundt cake instead of the oh-so-hot-at-the-moment cupcake which comes in so many flavors and designs? That is what I thought until I tried a Nothing Bundt Cake bundlet, a mini individual size cake and NBC's response to cupcakes. Well holy moly, they REALLY know how to make the cake flavorful and MOIST and now I would pick it over a glam cupcake anyday. The Scripps location is cute inside decorated in pastels like a nursery and there is always a flavor NBC is sampling that day. NBC has a short menu of flavors (around half a dozen) and the red velvet is my favorite b/c the most red chocolatey cake is perfectly balanced with chocolate chips and a tasty but not too heavy cream cheese frosting. Andt every two months they have a special Flavor of the Month and often this is where NBC will truly shine as with their chocolate turtle (brown chocolate cake with a thin caramel poured over and soaked into the cake making it extra moist, and with crunch from walnuts). The pineapple upside down is also amazing but only offered as a flavor of the month. TIP: While you can order 8 inch or 10 inch cakes, I find the bundlets tend to be the most moist and delicious and each one can serve 2 people because they are pretty large. The only downside is that they are unable to do a flavor (such as plain lemon) that is not on the menu (unless it is a flavor of the month). read more

Unfortunately corporations don't realize how much franchises tarnish their reputation and brand name. Here we have a classic example of NBC. We have visited all the locations in Houston and have signed up to receive promotions. So both of us had a BOGO coupon which we have used in other NBC locations but this locay refused to accept it. The employee was rude, impolite, and obviously lacks the basics of customer service standards. She refused to help us. Her name was CAILI. She called another person who quoted me something about franchise cannot accept or participate In coupons and walked out of restaurant. Why does the consumer have to suffer between these "fine lines". For example, if I receive a coupon from Burger King, Popeyes or subway, it's honored and applied at any location, regardless of company store versus franchise. NBC suppose to bring joy, happiness and sweetness, but we left with a sour taste, disgruntled. And upset. What a bargain by your franchise, NBC. You've lost 2 long time customers over unhelpful employees who have disgraced your brand and logo. Here's the icing, the employee wanted my phone number for order, which I refused. Wow. My sister suggested we stop here and pick up some Bundt cakes while I was visiting. She was right- they are SO good! We got a few of the bundtlets to share so we could try different flavors. Let me tell you, these cakes are SO moist. More moist than a lot of cup cakes I've tried over the years from different bakeries. I really like the flavor of the chocolate chocolate chip- they had samples out when I was there. My favorites of the ones we brought home were the white chocolate, and white chocolate raspberry. Both were moist and flavorful! Some of the best cake I've tasted. The ONLY reason I'm giving 4 instead of 5 stars is because of all of the flavors we tried, the carrot cake was kind of dry.
