Seriously!! My family wanted to try this place so I went in after waiting in line, with my mask on. I had to call my family to tell them the flavors, since we haven't ever been there. (that meant taking the mask off my mouth so they could understand me) I was told I needed to put my mask over my mouth while trying to talk on the phone! How can they tell what I'm saying? "Go OUTSIDE so OSHA doesn't shut us down." Seriously.. they will walk in while I'm relaying the flavor choices and shut them down? I think this was a bit over the top!!! I left and went and tried the dessert store on McHenry where I found an array of fabulous desserts.. I won't be going back here again. I mean come on... Tastes as good 10 days later as the first day! I have had your cakes before but there has never been any leftover. Well for my last party we had a lot of cake leftover. I never could imagine that a cake 10 days after it was baked would taste as moist and as good as the first day. I've been a fan of Nothing Bundt Cakes for over a year now. I have been a customer of the Reno and San Carlos locations. I was so excited when I saw that Modesto was getting their own NBC. They have the only Red Velvet Cake that I truly enjoy. My favorite flavor was the Turtle, but it was a flavor of the month. My standby is the Chocolate Chocolate Chip. Oh man these are so dang good! I wish they didn't cost as much as they do, but they are so good, I can bite the bullet on these. Every time I go, the workers are very cheery and my cakes are always incredibly moist. Not once have I had a dry one so it's consistently good. I bought a cake there for my wife's birthday. I bought a white chocolate raspberry cake. I don't even really like cake. However, this was unbelievably good. I had been ordering cakes from this location for a while now and had never had any issues before. Service was always very friendly and the people there were very helpful. Today was the day that the service was so poor that I will never return to this location again. The person helping me, an older lady, was extremely rude when I was trying to pick up a birthday cake for my dad. She asked on two separate occasions if I had already paid for the cake even though it was an online order and you cannot place an online order without paying for the cake first. She then also stated that the name I gave her was not the correct name the cake was under even though it was clearly the same name I gave. Then when she gave me the cake, she didn't put it in front of me but rather left it far away on the counter. And then she just told me, "you can go now." I used to love this place. Had my first from the Walnut Creek store when my mom brought home some from work. So excited to see one near us and we bought some in April that were really good. But sadly we're disappointed in the recent quality of the cakes. Found out that they only make one flavor a day and the girl didn't know what they make on any given day. (I just work here mentality). They let them sit there for a week. What happened to making them daily and fresh?
