You go to the cash register to order (menu is up high on the wall), make your payment, and the ticket has a number on it. You seat yourself and wait for them to call your number. Then you go to the counter and then take your food to your table. Silver ware is by the counter. The food was ok. Can one mess up spaghetti? Tea is excellent, but otherwise food was average to good. I think that their Erica Pizza is the best in the area, but it takes them about 25minutes to prepare. I usually call in the order to cut down the wait. Very casual, good, but expensive. read more

I had to change my 5 star review to reflect their change in quality since two years ago. The spaghetti was bland and undercooked, sauce was watery, meatballs were dry. The lady at the front threw her hands up in exasperation when I said I didn't want chips with the Poboy. The poboy was good but surprisingly small for the price. We went for the spiced tea that I was craving and I was let down by the not very sweet watered down tea. WE are so sad to hear of the closing of Notinis that is to take place this month. We have eaten there for years and yeas, since 1981 I think. Loved the spagetti and plain sauce, the meatballs, the Italian Salad and the wonderful sweet tea with a nice orange slice on the side. Sadly, something changed. Maybe after Jerry was no longer at the counter. Maybe after Joe was no longer around the place. It was so good and then it wasn't. First they dropped the anchovy on the Italian Salad. Then went to a half slice cheese on top of it. The lasagna went from great to yuk. Like a piece of mean over on a corner maybe from a great meat sauce over all. Bread lost the garlic taste and was hard to the bite, used to be so good and soft and delicious. We finally quit going some years back. It just got worse and worse. So sad. Worst experience at Notini's. Placed order in advance 10:40. Arrived at scheduled pick up time 11:30. Waitress places all bags on counter with exception of pizza. Wait 12 minutes for the pizza leave and drive back 20 minutes to office. Receive call my orders ready (they left out a spaghetti plate) tell her I am not driving back just refund the spaghetti. We went the first time at beginning of last summer. Ordered sandwiches. Not impressed. Had funny taste, very little seasoning and took forever to receive. Decided they were having an "off" day and try another time. Went back last night for all you can eat spagetti dinner. Ordered the spagetti dinner. Ordered sweet tea and un-sweet tea. They were out of unsweet tea and only replacement was diet coke (i can't have any sodas or sugar). She had already ran my credit card so I got a bottle of water as a substitute. Little did I know till I started going over my receipt that the SMALL bottle of water was $3. Noodles were barely ok & you got maybe a 1/2 cup of meatless sauce to mix in thrown on top. Salad had a gritty taste, more olives than lettuce. This is NOT real Italian food. Feel like we was ripped off. They were way overpriced for what we got both trips. You only get two chances with me. I've been going to notinis for 20 years. It's easily one of the best restaurants, especially Italian, in the area. However, in the last few years the servings have gotten smaller and the prices higher, still it's the only Italian I recommend and still eat there regularly. Today may be my last time. After spending $40 on 2 small plates of spaghetti at lunch, I was left less than underwhelmed. There was very little sauce and the sauce I did have was watery and had no flavor. It was essentially just a pile of noodles lightly dipped in tomato water. The bread is amazing and so is the tea but how do you screw up spaghetti? PSA! So here is the story it might be a little bit long. We went to Notini's Italian Restaurant in Bossier last Friday the 23rd for dinner and spent nearly $100 ($93.xx) on dinner and there was something off with their Alfredo sauce. I mentioned it to the waitress and got it OK we'll see about it . It looked as though it had separated and it looks like it was a little clabbered from either being leftout or overcooked/reheated too much.. Fast forward to the next morning (Saturday June 24.2023). The three people who ate Alfredo were sick as dogs, stomach pain, vomiting, diarrhea, chills, abdominal pain, stomach pain, all signs of food poisoning. Everyone else are fine as they did not get Alfredo sauce. I called Notinis Saturday mid morning probably around 10 or so and the manager I spoke to ,a girl , who said I was not the manage last night , sorry I can't help you then she took my name and number and said she would have her general manager give me a call back ( they're locally owned they have a manager they have an owner,) Liz called me and said she apologize for any inconvenience and they would be refunding me my money due to the experience we had and the 3 people getting ill! I explained that noone else was sick and that I would never call and complain , but the fact that people got sick I felt they needed to know! I was told that they would refund me and she apologized! This was Saturday the 24th , as of Tuesday June 27th The money still had not been credited to my account but the money was definitely taken out for the bill. I called to check on the status of my refund and Spoke with Liz again. She assured me the refund was sent & "oh yes ma'am it takes a few days but it should be on there." You know in the next day or so, I said OK I'll give it a few more days fast forward to Friday today the 30th the money has not hit the bank, I called Notinis back and asked again, You all said my refund was issued but still has not hit the bank but you guys said that you were issuing for the bad food that was served us on the 23rd. They took my name and number to have a manager call me back.. I get a phone call from LIZ, saying that oh I talk to the owner and we're not gonna refund you. ( MIND YOU SHE SAID SHE ISSUED THE REFUND SATURDAY & confirmed it TUESDAY) ** SO SHE LIED TWICE! This is after being told three time that they were refunding me. They apologize for the inconvenience. They were going to check into everything and there would not be an issue, and as I stated to them clearly no one else got sick and I apologize for calling and making the complaint but I felt like they needed to know that there was something wrong and they assured me that they appreciate the phone call. Apologize for the illness family receive, and that they would be giving me a full refund only to go back on their word and tell me seven days later no we're not gonna refund you ! so we have three people who are sick, a week of dealing with them lying & TO GO ON now their story is, we asked regulars who ate the Alfredo and theyvwere fine, & and said their owners ate it too the sane night.. I grew up eating Notini's and thought it was da bomb in High School. On a recent trip back, I was sorely disappointed. You know when you break off a relationship then a couple years later think how great it was because you couldn't remember all the bad things. Yeah...had one of those. The oven was broken during my trip and they could not toast the muffaleta. If that is one of your best selling items on the menu, please get the oven fixed and give people what they want. I ended up ordering a small plate of the plain sauce spaghetti and the Italian salad. Spaghetti was not good. Salad was ok, but iceberg lettuce always gives me the shivers. I'm not sure where to begin. I ordered the large Mina special with pepperoni, sausage, onion and mushroom and a small sausage. Was told it would be 30 minutes. It was 45 and they weren't busy in the restaurant. The pizza was horrible. Well, that's not totally fair. The sausage pizza was ok. The other? The crust was flimsy and doughy. It literally wobbled as I picked it up. I had to put the hot pizza in my toaster oven to try to crisp up the crust. Didn't work. Looked like they opened up a large can of mushrooms and dumped it on the top. I kept the pizza level in the car, yet it was squished to one side of the box. I remember long, long ago when it was in the strip mall where the Old Navy is now, back when that strip mall had a Safeway, a Eckerd's and a TG&Y. Do you remember that? It was in the early 80s. The staff is really what has me coming back especially Abbi Bass she should really get a raise, she truly made my first time visit, one i'll always remember, this location has a great set of employees, they are wonderful and so sweet and always working hard!! I know how hard it can get working in a restaurant, the staff was the best and Abbi Bass was an outstanding employee. Notini's is my all time favorite Italian family owned restaurant! They have the best alfredo sauce I've ever tasted. All you can eat spaghetti on Monday nights are great. Salads excellent, yummy dressing, great bread... and the best sweet tea (with the perfect addition of orange). I no longer live in the area, but would pay money to have a plate of their fetuccini alfredo and a gallon of tea delivered. read more

My husband and I were in town and met friends here. The prices are ridiculous and the food was mediocre. Hubby ordered the spaghetti with meat sauce and he said it was "eh, ok I guess". I got the small Italian salad that said it was dinner size but really it was a side salad size. Italian dressing was ok but tasted bottled. Garlic toast was soggy like it had been sitting on a steam table to keep warm. You need to speak with your employees about speaking negative of customers and applicants that apply at your establishment. One of your employees named Brianna according to my receipt was talking to one of her coworkers about how "fat" a girl was who applied for a job. The pizza tasted weird and I could make better spaghetti. Jess- Nothing like I expected it to be... U think a waiter will come to you but you have to order it in the front and you have to get the food and if you want a refill you have to get up :/ The service people acted as if we were dumb. Very, very disappointing! I placed a phone order from their menu online for a large Italian salad. Online menu showed $6.75 and an abundance of olive mix and other items. When I went to pick up my order I was told I owed $8.97 with tax. I reluctantly paid and informed the lady that this is not what they have on their website. I didn't open my salad until I got to my location. What a major disappointment! It was mostly lettuce soaked in dressing with a small amount of olive mix. Nothing like their picture showed! I didn't like it. I had gotten the chicken fettuccine Alfredo and it was less than okay. Saying it was "Okay," us an understatrment. I'll give it too much credit If I sait it was decent. The chicken tasted like it was more than a day old, more like reheated, the Alfredo sauce tasted packaged and the garlic bread like regular toast with garlic powder and Italian season on it. No server so you'll order and pay first and get your food, Sooo keep in mind that you already paid...That being said, be prepared to deal with the "customer service" or employees attitude afterwards. Make sure your food comes with everything explained when you order. I'd go over your order again to make sure both yalll understand. I.E. We ordered something off the menu and apparently the salad that is supposed to come with our order is only available at dinner. This was after being told that it did come with our meal during the time. Also we got red sauce for our cheese bread when we were told it comes with white sauce... we didn't care for correcting our order at this point with all the L's due to if we did it would be another L. Personally I'd stick with monjunis on airline if you want some decent Italian. If you don't mind paying a steep price id personally recommend L'italiano. We had the lasagna..... it tasted as if it had been re heated it the pan half a dozen times and it melted in your mouth, not in a good way. When I go to Notini's I usually get the pizza and it is good for the most part, I mean its no better than the local pizza joints around town, but this trip I decided to get the roast beef po-boy. The reason I gave this place 5 stars is because the roast beef po boy was one of the best po-boys I have ever eaten. it was amazing, the way it was toasted to perfection, and the cheese was great on this sandwich they used some cheese that was melted just right an there wasn't an over abundance. This was a pretty good place. We ate for about $10 a person. The atmosphere was great. I had plenty of leftover spaghetti and garlic bread, although my boyfriend ate his whole small pizza. He liked the mint tea, while I did not, but almost everyone I've talked to loves the tea. The only thing that I didn't really like was having to get my own silverware and having to walk up to the counter each time I needed a refill. Tried this place twice because of what others say about it, but I have to firmly disagree. If you are not familiar with the place, it's hard to order as you have to place order when you walk in and go to the counter to do this. Kinda puts you on the spot up front, especially if there's people waiting in line behind you. I ordered lasagna both times and it was horrible both times. I don't know what they did to make it taste so bad, but I will never set foot in this place again. I don't care what anybody says. I have been to Notoini's many times. Have been satisfied with the Italian salad. This time I ordered the same salad. When it arrived the lettuce was brown. It looked awful and I would not eat it. I did not make a scene but called the owner over and showed the awful lettuce to him. He said they had been having trouble getting good lettuce. I asked him why he did not tell me that when I ordered. He knew what I had been served. He offered to make another salad but out of the same yucky lettuce. I left the salad and walked out.
