The fish was dry and overcooked. A friend ordered a chicken dish that had small medallions- not much food for the price, and commented he was surprised to leave a restaurant hungry. The food was expensive to be lackluster. The food was awesome the first time. Three months later. The Italian wedding soup changed and the red fish had only two shrimp and no crab. If I hadn't said anything I would have paid full price. The female owner stood over us and explained that the soup hadn't change in 3 1/2 yrs and that the server had no power to make it right. She said she had that authority because she is the owner. When the owner walked past us she muttered "the nerve of some people." Do not know who she was referring to. They finally after almost 15-20 minutes sat us once they had cleared and set a table that had been empty the whole time. We waiting again for 5-10 minutes for our waitress, who was the owner, who then told us they were short 2 people that night. Which was interesting since there were only 17 tables! How is that a problem, they had 2 waitresses and the owner working the floor. When my wife inquired about vegetarian options she was met with a condescending tone of if it doesn't say meat on it it's vegetarian. After we ordered we waited 30 more minutes for our food which was barely warm and just edible. My chicken parm looked like it had been microwaved since the sauce on the plate it was smothered in was burnt around the edges which you get from microwaving liquids in a plate or bowl. The sauce on my side of pasta (which was so small I almost forgot it was there) tasted like a store bought Ragu. Even though the menu boasted homemade sauce. They made the experience carefree and easy; from setting the tables how we wanted, to making all the food in house, planning around my students with food allergies including nuts and gluten, to giving extras to make the experience really special for our students. And they did all this with limited staff as some of the wait staff did not show today. Shout out to Rachel; she handled 8 tables of middle schoolers all by herself and didn't even break a sweat!!! We had a great time at La Dolce Vita Italian Cuisine! Me and my bf went on Thursday 12/14/23. It was a very slow and quiet night for them there was only 1 other couple in the restaurant. There is plenty of seating and the atmosphere was very romantic/standard Italian. The lights set the mood. Our waiter was soooo fun, we loved him. The food was good too, I got the regular fettuccine Alfredo w/ chicken and my bf got one of the specials for the night which included lamb chops over beef ravioli with special sauce. I expected the food/noodles to be dry since most Italian places are but there was plenty of sauce and juiciness to the meal! The flavors were immaculate not even salty either!! They also had fresh Parmesan and unlimited bread/butter! The restaurant was a little less fancy than lil Italiano if we were to compare but overall chef Izzy is doing an amazing job and should get more business! We will be back! read more

I had lunch here with a friend and everything was fabulous from beginning to end. No complaints! I couldn't decide between two meals so I ordered them both. I had the Montecasino which is grilled chicken with Cajun mustard, mushrooms, and a white cream sauce. It was a unique meal with good flavor. The portion size was good. I also ordered the Milanese Coletta which is a breaded veal with lemon butter sauce. It was excellent and again: a good portion size. I also had an Angel hair pasta with fresh pesto and I really liked the pesto and even ordered a side of that to bring home. For dessert I had a cannoli pie that was good! The prices were reasonable but the quality and presentation were terrific. Laura was our server and she is a gem. She gave good suggestions when we asked and really listened to us to help make our dining experience top-notch. She was very attentive but never pushy and never tried to rush us. Are you in mood for really good Italian food and great service, might want to give this place a try! My wife and I have been wanting to try this place for a few weeks and finally decided to give it a shot for our 10 year anniversary. We got there around 7 pm on a Friday night and it was very busy, we didn't have a reservation but luckily they were able to seat us at a reserved table that didn't show which was very accommodating and welcoming of them. We were greated very fast by our server Lucy and she took our drink order and got us bread out very quick. However the butter was fresh out of the fridge and hard as a rock but Lucy was on top of it and had us soft butter before we even said anything. We then ordered crab claws as our appetizer but unfortunately they ran out. So we opted to try the smoked salmon. I was unable to eat it as I didn't know it wasn't fully cooked and can't have sushi type stuff per my dr after having recent surgery. Wife said it was ok but not her cup of tea. It was very nicely presented however. My wife not being very hungry ordered a side of pasta and sauce and minestrone soup. She said it was a great soup but would have been better with bow tie or shell pasta. I opted for the #17 redfish Giovanni, with 3 jumbo shrimp and lump crabmeat with lemon butter sauce. Once again very nice presentation and a very large piece of fish. Everything was cooked perfectly with great flavor, if I had to really be picky it could have used slightly more lemon. But it was very good meal. I am ready to go back and try some of the other dishes. This is the kinda place where everything on the menu sounds amazing and you can't decide then change your mind a few times. I can tell this will be our new place! Almost everything was just bad. Warning sign #1 was when we called to confirm our reservation the day off and were told they had no record of it. They took our drink orders and those in our party that wanted a glass of wine were informed they had no liquor license. Ok no biggie; we'll move past that. The table bread they brought out at the beginning was brought out with little packets of butter to dip it in; a little low class for what advertises to be a higher end restaurant. Appetizers we ordered mozzarella sticks and what came out was something that tasted as if had been bought frozen from the grocery store and dropped in the fryer for a minute. One of just a tube of breading lol. All of the entrees came out at different times for each member of our party. One member was waiting for ~ 15 minutes after everyone else and we were informed his was taken to another table. The clams in the dolce vita feast dish were gritty and the dish was full of broken shells. The redfish giovanni was dry and overcooked. One member of our party ordered the lasagne, and I would be embarrassed to place this in front of a customer if I was the owner. It was just gross. This was our first visit to LA Dolce Vita in Bossier City due to a Yelp review, and we were very pleased that we did! We each had a main entree (Fettuccine Alfredo and Spaghetti Carbonara). Both were excellent and more than we could possibly eat. Each entree was rich with creme and the the carbonate was superb (often the prosciutto os too fatty at other restaurants,, but not so here). Having said that, the service was acceptable (the server had trouble understanding what we asked for due to a language barrier.
