Came to NOTO for Bingo Loco; the event itself was fun though there wasn't enough seating for the amount of people there. I had to ask several tables if I could sit with them until I was finally able to find a corner. The only reason I'm even giving it a star is because the event itself was entertaining. While sitting in said corner, I was in the way of the booths on the second floor so people kept bumping into me accidentally. However, one of the employees purposely touched me twice when passing by. The first time was a tap on the shoulder and the second time he bumped his hip on me and then turned around and laughed.

Went to see Meek Mill perform. He didn't show up until 1am. The club closes at 2am. Everyone was there at 10/11pm. I am confused on why we didn't get a notification or an announcement saying that meek was going to be late. I get he's a celebrity but not even the workers know when he will arrive. The place was nice though. NOTO is pretty festive when it comes to holidays and they do a great job advertising it. I never had the food here but the drinks are made fast without an issue and the bartenders are very kind.

Bartender who tried to kick us out for asking about an ID lost and found.

NOTO is just plain trashy. The bouncers don't know what a real ID looks like. The bartenders will tell you to "get out of their face" when asking for the lost and found after they've taken away your friend's real ID. Not to mention promoters like Neal (Neil?) will tell you you're on a guest list yet still charge you full price while trying to sell you an overpriced table (there's a reason no one wants to pay for them!). Save your money, time, and headache and go to a real Philadelphia club or bar or literally anywhere but NOTO. They don't deserve your business because they won't respect you even when they're guaranteed it. Places like NOTO are the reason Philadelphia gets a bad rep.

Came here for the Henny and Waffles event. To start the food was pretty decent and there were alota options, however the waffles was extra sweet and the grits was SWEET.. never ordered sweet grits from a restaurant or venue before.. There were only 2 bartenders and the line was ridiculously long.. The white female bartender on the first floor had a horrible attitude. We paid $30 extra for unlimited mimosas and 6 of us wanted refills.. she said she can't do 6 refills because she only has 1 bottle of champagne left.. uhhh ok?? Why is that our problem?? We paid for unlimited mimosas so the venue should've been more prepared ! I heard her tell someone "yea it's unlimited refills but NOT unlimited service"... I also heard her tell someone to not come back to her bar because someone didn't tip her Oh yea place was HOT.. everyone is as sweaty and fanning themselves.. it was 98 degrees outside and it felt jus the same inside Such an unprofessional and unorganized event.. Pay $65 to go to Rec and Royal and you'll get a bottle of champagne, brunch, and a wayyyy better experience

Ask the Community - NOTO Philadelphia

    Do they scan ID?

    Yes

How much is it to get in? Can I pay at the door? How much are the drinks here? and What time should I go by? Would I be not allowed in if I'm too late?

Do I have to buy tickets online?

Pre-buying tickets online is recommended but not required, tickets are usually sold at the door but are priced higher than pre-sale

Reading the reviews it seems like when you say you have a "show" with DJs or artists they either don't come out or only do for a very short amount of time. So are they there for an appearance or an actual show? There is a huge difference.

I've only been once, for Markus Schulz and he put on a full show , not an appearance

    Is there a dress code?

Hi & yes. I live in LA & have a client in the Philly area. On weekends that I'm in Philly, I'm at…

    Is there a cover?

Some shows are free. Others require a ticket purchase.

    What is the hat policy?

    No hats

Do you need to be 21 to enter?

All of the employees are extremely rude and yell and curse at you for not knowing all of their ridiculous rules (e.g., "No sitting on the tables!"). The one bartender was sweet, but the everyone else that worked there was very ghetto and pissed off. One side for under 21, the other for over. The over 21 area is like a little lounge-style thing. They serve basic drinks and beers (bottled poured in cups) and some food. They have their own DJ, but it still feels like some cheap couches in a warehouse. No dance floor on this side unfortunately, which really could have changed our experience. We had a couple of reasonably priced drinks ($5 for beer, $8 for Absolut cranby's) and then were forced to mingle with the youngins. The other side had what my homegirl called "Hoodrat Row", basically a stage with a bunch of Hoodrats getting stretched out to shake it like a hooker (homie: "It's like 'When Animals Attack' up in there"). It was dirty, big dance floor with bars on either side serving soda and water for the kiddies. The DJ was pretty good and was getting the crowd hyped, but the clientele were just wack. It was like a horrible high school dance, with dudes and girls literally dry humping in every position you could imagine. Real low class stuff, i'm not even kidding, straight up dry humping. Some girls lifting their skirts to show their panties. I'm just surprised nobody actually started having sex (that I saw). There were some bright spots. The DJ played some decent jams, but didn't really know how to mix that well. He played what everyone wanted to hear tho fosho. There were some dance battles that would break out that were alright, but usually got real stupid real quick. There were only about 2-3 remotely skilled b-boys there, so then dudes would just start getting ridiculous. Then, the fights broke out...Multiple, big brawls, one after another. Security scattering and for some reason arguing. I saw one dude throw at least three punches and somehow he stayed til they closed. Completely disorganized. Security fighting patrons, patrons fighting patrons, and it looked like security fighting security. Apparently they threw them out and they were fighting outside so nobody wanted to leave for a while. They basically cut the music for like 20 mins turned on all the lights, and kicked out 75% of the crowd. When it came back on, it was wack, but the homies wanted to stay cuz they had the dance floor to themselves. Afterwards, they kicked us out and told us we had to stand outside. We tried to get a cab for literally 30 minutes standing outside under this tiny awning in the freezing rain, but none would stop. We called two different companies 3 different times and they told us they were coming, but none came. Our friend went up the street to another, less ghetto corner and got two cabs to stop, but they said they wouldn't take us (everyone else was black, so I guess that's why). All of the employees knew what was going on and were going in and out of the place, but didn't offer for us to wait inside and actually told us we couldn't. They told us they wouldn't call any other companies and that we had to figure it out. They sat there in their cars looking at us and laughing like some douchebags while they could have offered us a ride to our hotel. We ended up just walking, so forget this place. Leave that to the little kiddies tryin to play gangsta.

Everyone we interacted with was absolutely wonderful and pleasant, ranging from the team members to our fellow patrons. I had a gin and Sprite to drink and I ordered the burger for some grub. The drink was standard but on the strong side. I enjoyed the burger very much and found the fries to be hot and crispy, just as a good shoestring fry should be. Of course, we enjoyed the live music that swirled around the bar that evening. The band was great and upbeat. I would definitely return!

Unfortunately, this was by far the worst experience I've had. We had a 7 PM reservation and arrived at 7:15 PM. I acknowledge that we were late and apologized to the host. However, we arrived within the stated grace period. When we checked in, the hostess explained that because we arrived later within the grace period, our 90-minute seating window would still end based on the original reservation time. We acknowledged that and had absolutely no issue with it. What made the experience uncomfortable was how aggressively we were reminded about the time throughout the entire meal. We were reminded at least 5-6 separate times how much time we had left. Comments like "just so you know you have 25 minutes left" and "our next party is coming in 5-10 minutes" made it feel like staff was actively trying to rush us out before our reservation time had even ended. Mind you, we already understood the policy. One reminder would have been enough. Instead, it completely changed the energy of the evening and made us feel unwelcome and pressured to leave. We had originally planned to stay through our reservation and then move to the bar for the live music afterward, but after being repeatedly rushed, we decided to leave entirely and spend the rest of the night elsewhere. The most disappointing part was the interaction with the manager, Eric. Rather than listening or showing any understanding, he immediately became defensive and aggressive. He repeatedly insisted we were "15-20 minutes late," which was simply not true -- we arrived during the stated grace period. The issue was never the policy itself. It was the way we were treated throughout the night. It's unfortunate because this has genuinely been one of my favorite spots in Philly, and I've recommended it to multiple people. But this experience left a really bad impression, especially when bringing guests from out of town.

I planned on grabbing something to go after the show. As I was perusing the menu I saw several dishes pass by and decided I couldn't wait any longer. Has some TVs, a very friendly staff, and the food looked great. I was blown away by their chicken fingers. Obviously hand breaded, and served with Comeback sauce and your choice of ranch or blue cheese. I ate a few and saved the biggest one for a late night snack. Ended up eating it a couple days later and it was still delicious! I'll have to try the wings next time. Service was great, from hostess to servers, everyone had smiles. Food came out promptly and my drink was refilled without asking. Definitely a good start to the night. The Dungeon Crawl itself was the highlight of the evening!
