I used yelp to ask for a quote and in that quote request I specified the dates and described the work etc. in every detail. They come up quickly with a quote and it was slightly better than 3 other companies. so I asked when they can move and whether there are any discounts available. In the meantime I turned down the competing quotes. Two days past with no response. I sent another message and again no response. Then I called and talked to a patronizing person who lectured me on the phone saying that an estimate does not mean they can do the work and they are fully booked for the next two weeks. When I said that I specifically wrote the dates I need this done by, she told me that most people just write those days for no reason and only a few people really have a deadline. There was no point talking to them so that was the end of the conversation. If you want an unreliable company who ghosts you after an estimate and then lectures you when you follow up, this company would serve you great. They costed me three valuable days just before my move and lots of headache. That is all I can say. read more

This company is absolutely the real deal - EXCELLENT! The owner and all the employees that loaded the furniture were extremely nice and very professional. They worked very hard and fast with smiles on their faces. Everything we asked them to do, they did. What more could you ask for? Oh, there was a MINOR discrepancy in the final price vs what I was originally quoted, but Omar quickly rectified the "issue" and all parties still ended up satisfied! Definitely recommend Nova Junk! If you're looking to get some stuff moved quickly and efficiently, Nova Junk is the way to go. From start to finish, this process was a breeze! I got a quote via Yelp (they responded lightning fast), and my appointment was scheduled within 24 hours for the upcoming weekend. They asked for photos before providing me with a cost estimate. This gave me some confidence that the quote would be accurate and stay unchanged once they showed up (and in fact, the actual cost was the exactly the same). I got a 2-hour window, and they called me at the beginning of that window to tell me how far out they were. They came right in the middle of the 2-hour window and they were in an and out in about 30 minutes (for a huge table, a huge console, an old rug, and a couple of large boxes of broken/old appliances) I had a couple of bulky pieces of furniture, and the two guys were really careful not to damage the walls. They were wearing masks and took contactless credit card payment. They were very courteous and efficient! I was hoping to get a donation receipt, but in light of COVID, they said it was not guaranteed that the donation centers were receiving items. That's obviously not their fault, so it was no biggie. I'll definitely be using them again! (And the painlessness of this process actually might motivate me to clean out my house some more!) read more

Omar and the team at NOVA Junk Removal were the most professional, punctual, and pleasant folks I've ever worked with on home improvement projects. I began doing some work on my backyard and discovered that the contractors who renovated our house buried a lot of the debris in our yard! I found concrete, nails, beams, etc. Omar came out to my house and gave me a free, no obligation estimate to haul all of it away (plus some of extra stuff I had decided to get rid of). There were no restrictions - Omar would take it all, sort it, and make sure it was disposed responsibly. I spent a week comparing prices and services (some companies would only take dirt and wood, but no concrete or rocks for example). At the end of the day, NOVA Junk Removal was the best value, period. I called them back, and they scheduled an appointment to haul it off. They showed up exactly when they said would, and did a great job! When we got to the bottom of a pile and found some old chain link fence that was grown to some roots, I mentioned to Omar that I would find a neighbor to lend me some bolt cutters to clear that up. He ran to the truck, brought back his cutters and solved that problem! Then they cleaned up the site and even swept the sidewalk, so it actually looked better than when they arrived. They honored their estimate (which can't be said for everybody), and I was able to pay with a card. Easy peasy. I cannot recommend NOVA Junk Removal highly enough! read more

I called to request a couple items to be picked up. Lady on the phone asked what I had and I told her a couple pieces of wood, couple bags of clothes and some small furniture items. She never gave me a quote and failed to Mention you pay per truck not by the actual amount of stuff you have. When they came and got my items it took them less then a minute to pick it up and it took up maybe 1/5 of the back of the truck. The guy then told me the cost was $175.... will never use this company again... to update this review, they tried to pay me to remove this negative review and pretended to send me $50 (which I conveniently never received). HIGHLY recommend this company! I'm renovating my bathroom, and I'm in the top floor of a garden condo (meaning, no elevator!). I had accumulated a LARGE amount of debris during the demolition process - all my wall tile was mounted on concrete on wire mesh (which was just sitting in chunks - I couldn't do anything else with it) I had three layers of floor tile, a really heavy tub, buckets of miscellaneous debris and of course the toilet and vanity. I'm estimating around 1500 to 2000 pounds of junk. This was all sitting in my living room. On top of that - I couldn't even be there the day of removal, because of military duty. I arranged to have a friend there for me, and Nova Junk was very helpful beforehand in making the situation work, and they were always very responsive with any communication I had with them. My friend relayed how everything was going on the day, and she told me that the crew was super nice, helpful, timely and efficient. I think they got all that stuff out in around 30 minutes. I cannot say enough good things about these guys - they are awesome, and if you have ANY kind of junk removal you need done, you will not regret going with NOVA Junk!!!! Omg. These guys are good. I am remodeling my house and the construction crew has been slow in removing the construction debris. I also had a lot of old furnitures. They took care not to damage the power cable for the hot tub and got it out of the backyard and into the truck quickly and cleaned up. Money well spent. I needed to get rid of a few things that would be a small job for pro's but a major challenge for me. Searched Yelp, got some estimates, settled on NovaJunk based on reviews. Got a same day estimate and scheduled a pickup later that week. The crew gave a heads up call about 40 mins out during the first hour of the 3-hr window. Upon arriving, and offering to remove shoes, they collected my items and were done in 10 minutes. Amount charged matched the estimate.  So, if you have "junk", and don't have able-bodied help and a truck, you will probably do better hiring pro's. They came on time within the reasonable window we were given, and called 15 minutes out to update us on their exact arrival time. They all arrived wearing masks and kept their personal distance, which I very much appreciate during COVID. The team that hauled our junk was friendly, hardworking, courteous, conscientious, respectful of our property, and also fast! They did a great job removing stuff from our property even though we were a little disorganized and even when they ran up against some difficulties (the fridge wouldn't fit out of the door but they said no problem we'll just remove your door and put it back on for you!).
