Our daughter joined only a few months ago and is already competing in tournaments on the girls' team, a real testament to Coach Harley, Coach Derek, and every one of the coaches. What stands out is how well the entire staff understands kids. They structure their training with the perfect balance of demands, held to a high level that pushes the kids to grow. And there's a place for everyone: advanced players can join the club team, while beginners can start in the recreational league and build their skills step by step. There's no forcing, no rushing, just patient, thoughtful coaching that develops each child as an athlete and a person. I've already recommended them to friends and family and will continue to, everyone I've sent for a trial lesson has stayed without exception. Irvine is fortunate to have a club this good. Highly recommend to any family!

What stood out most was Tstreet's strong culture and commitment to developing proper fundamentals and technique from an early age. There's also a real consistency in coaching standards and best practices across all teams, which gives the players a strong foundation as they develop. Coach Curtis and Madi were outstanding throughout the season, creating a positive, competitive environment and helping the girls grow both individually and as a team. We highly recommend Tstreet and can't wait to do it all again this upcoming season.

BUYER BEWARE: High Cost, Low Communication. Read the fine print before committing…read more If you are looking into club sports, please do your research before signing anything. Based on our experience, here are the most critical things to verify before you commit: * Guaranteed Positions vs. Subbing: When offered a spot, ensure it is for the specific position your child wants to play. Do not accept vague promises of "potential playtime" or subbing opportunities. *Playtime Over Team Ranking: Don't get caught up in whether it is a 15-1, 15-2, or 15-3 team. A high-ranking team means nothing if your child spends the entire tournament on the bench, which causes immense frustration for both the player and the parents. *Coach Compatibility: Make sure you get a good vibe from the coach. A stubborn coach who refuses to listen or work with players will make the season feel hard, tedious, and heartbreaking for your child. *The True Cost: The base cost alone is incredibly high--around $7,000 to $8,000 and that does not include tournament fees or out-of-pocket travel expenses. Once you sign the contract, there is absolutely no recourse or refund. Save your time, money, and your child's mental well-being by researching thoroughly before joining.

Attending Wyse Basketball clinic for the first time impressed us so much that my son immediately loved their program. It was the perfect time that my son and Coach West met and worked together for a year because my son had the goal of playing for high school basketball. My son kept improving and he was always excited to learn everything Coach West had to teach him. It was another level of play for my son. He became more and more confident as his knowledge was increasing, that after a year of being in the academy, he went for the high school try-out and got accepted. Coach West helped him reach his goal. Coach West is very good in communicating with kids. He talks to them in a mild manner that makes the players feel respected. He taught not only basketball skills like defense and offense, but also respect and being humble in and out of the court. He encourages kids to prioritize academics and become responsible athletes.

A week before the season starts they let us know that they hadn't secured any courts in Brea despite knowing for months that this season was going to be happening. Then they told parents that they needed a volunteer parent coach or the first game would be cancelled and continue to be cancelled without a volunteer. When no one stepped up they cancelled the game and I asked for a refund. I don't understand how they can't get these things organized before a season is set to start. I've asked for the refund one month ago and multiple emails where they had said my refund was submitted but I haven't heard anything. They've now stopped replying to me all together. So now not only are they incompetent they're straight up thieves. Do not support NJB.

We decided to try out NJB (Huntington Beach chapter) based on some recommendations from friends…read more Note: most of them tried it summer/winter season when I guess there's more participants and more volunteer help. However, the spring season for the Rookie division (K-1, 5-7 year olds) was super disorganized from the start and it hasn't gotten better after numerous parents bringing up concerns throughout the season with Coach Dennis who happens to be the founder of NJB too. This has been the worst sports league we have ever joined! 1) They shouldn't have 5-7 year olds play together and if they do, they should divide the teams equally by skill level but that wasn't the case. One team had much taller, more experienced players that would often dominate during scrimmages. Some of the younger ones would get upset, feeling discouraged which isn't a good start when introducing a sport. 2) The league should provide more coaching for basics and fundamentals as it was the first time for some of the kids playing. That being said, all practices are run by parents who volunteer to coach including some who reluctantly did so. Sadly, they are not given any instruction on drills so it's up to them how they want to structure practices. This happened the first time where the paid coaches just watched the volunteer coaches figure out how to coach the kids without giving them any guidance. After complaints, Dennis told us from week 2 week, we would have someone professionally give our kids instruction the first 30 minutes, then scrimmage the last 30 minutes but sadly that only seemed to happen 3x. The paid referees were supposed to come for all the scrimmages/games, but didn't. We had parent volunteers step in with some of the weekend scrimmages/games and referee too when no professional from the league showed up. This was so unprofessional. 3) Game times were sometimes changed 1-3 days prior to the actual game or from a Sunday to Saturday. One weekend we weren't suppose to have a game, then we were emailed that same week that we would have one. 4) Not all updated games have been emailed out. So some parents downloaded the NJB app (which only some knew about) and said that was more updated on there, but that still didnt show all the upcoming games. 5) Rookie division plays with 8 feet (vs 10 feet hoop). We found out in order to have practice with 8 feet hoops, we have to pay additional rental fees to practice at local schools that have them. When asked if we get a partial/refund, Dennis flat out said "no" because everything was done as promised, which wasn't. I'll be sharing my experience with other families and mom groups that I'm a part of.

It's very very large and they also have an opportunity for people who play basketball to bring their teams here. It is primarily for volleyball and is set up for volleyball. There were at least 200 women participating today and many many parents as well. It was great to see out high school junior get an award as well after participating in the showcase. We understand that love volleyball is a partner of this prep dig showcase and that's great to know. They also have a really, really nice café and the café is great because you can order different types of food and they have plenty of refreshments. And Alani can of energy drink cost us five dollars. But it's the good brand so I'd rather pay that then go down the street and get one for six dollars. Also, they have a very large cafeteria area where their café is and they also do açai bowls here. Overall, this is a great facility and I wonder if they do sports birthday parties or sports events here. There are plenty of banquet tables in the side gallery area next to all the courts and they are set up to have eight people per table they're that big. I want to say there are about 10 banquet tables in this area set up right now. They probably could set up about 12 to 15.

I expected the coach to help each student develop and progress, but unfortunately, that was not our experience. There was no scrimmaging or actual game practice, and the coach seemed more focused on finishing the session quickly than paying attention to each child's individual skill level. The class included kids ranging from complete beginners to intermediate players, yet everyone was taught at the same very basic beginner level. My child already had some experience, but instead of building on her existing skills, she was repeatedly given beginner-level instruction. I really feel that her time here did not help her improve at all. If your child is an intermediate or more advanced player and you are looking for real skill development, I would not recommend this program. On top of that, the building was very warm and had no air conditioning, which made the experience even more uncomfortable. Overall, I'm very unhappy with the lack of coaching, individual attention, and skill development. Unfortunately, we definitely will not be returning.
