It's a fine place for hockey but the figure skating program is not very good. The floors aren't very clean and there is TONS of black mold on the ceiling of the upstairs girls bathroom. This needs to be addressed before we start getting sick! Besides that the snack bar is NEVER open at all even on the days staff says it should be and they are losing profit. Generally an okay place I definitely recommend Lakeland ice arena for a figure skating program. This place needs some work. read more

There is so much potential here. The staff are super friendly and helpful, however they are so understaffed. Both the pro shop and the snack shop are closed. The ice is very well taken care of, and is never crowded. If you get here a little early, go to the blue rink and watch the competitive ice dancers! When it comes to hockey games, parking spots fill up quickly. The locker rooms are clean, and so are the bathrooms. read more

Sells hockey passes but then conveniently stops scheduling drop ins. Leagues teams are not well balanced. Rink was starting to go downhill before Covid. The downward spiral appears to have continued. I wonder if the city is aware? read more

The locker rooms are nice (away) and the ice is nice. The stands are okay and one of the rinks doesn't have the best lighting.

Went here with my daughter for open skate. We both enjoy skating and usally go to lakeland ice arena. I live in Novi now so this is much closer. Well we payed for skate time and skate rental. All i can say is the skates were sooooo DULL, u could barely stand up. We both tried 2 different pairs and the second was even worse. We asked if they could could do a quick sharpen, and was told there machine was broke.... Honestly i dont believe these skates were sharpened very often. Also i had to ask the guy to play some music to skate to..... He made it happen but come on, isnt that a given??? Anyways we got a refund and split. The only way id go back is if we have our own skates. Being so dull, its was like asking for an injury.... Lakeland on the other hand great skates and music!!!! 2 thumbs down Novi! read more

Management of the adult leagues is horrible. Director can never be found at the rink and is even harder to get ahold of. Horrible communication and organization of a league. Look elsewhere to play men's league. read more

we have been playing here couple of years at this arena, The management is a different type and is non profit organization, players have been moving out of the Areana to other places, not sure whats the reason, had few issues with the coaches who are normally parents, if you are a coach, it would help your kids much better,We had great experiences here and had to switch to other arena. Off recently everyone have been dropping off. Consider looking for other alternatives read more

decent arena. Heat usually works. Figure skating club, learn to skate, youth hockey league and adult leagues. Has skate store and sharpening. Food ranges from pizza and Bosco sticks to popcorn and pretzels. Icees too. Clean facility with decent ice. read more

Played at novi ice arena tonight, their refs were terrible. Had a breakaway with a minute left and the refs blow the play dead after we scored because people were hitting the glass/boards. The opposing team confirmed, post game, that the no goal was bullshit. But to appeal a decision it costs 100 dollars non refundable and they want to suspend one of our guys for asking the official if we were being unreasonable. We have had a team here for a decade and with this new management it is looking like time to change rinks. read more

Horrible walked in and right away was judged . I was coming to celebrate my birthday and have never been ice skating , so I went for open skating. I didn't even say anything other then hello to the front desk and she said we don't have any rental skates sizes 5-10 . Well ok wow! What a waste of time . I then saw a couple behind me come for open skating and was not told that , bought there tickets and went straight in. Played here for the nations cup. Bathrooms where filthy. Red rink smells terrible. Garbages all overflowing. Water on ice for most the game.

LOVE THIS RINK! The staff is so friendly, the rink is ALWAYS clean. Ice is always perfect. Adult hockey is always ran smoothly and is competitive from the D all the way to the B league! We often take our daughter to Friday open skate. The management seems a bit lackadaisical at times. Will find another rink after our latest experience. We checked in at the main counter for open skate, and the attendant, Erik Carlson? who is also an assistant manager did not even greet us when we approached the counter. He just stared at us as if he was doing us a favor. The facility was empty, so one would assume management would appreciate the business. read more
