I specifically requested a male masseuse, and the spa confirmed it not only in writing but also over the phone for our appointment on Sunday, April 26, 2026. Everything seemed well-organized--until we arrived. We showed up early, as requested, and were asked to pay upfront, which we did. When it was time for our massages, two female therapists came to take my friend and me to the room. I immediately pointed out that there must be a mistake because I had clearly requested a male masseuse. They checked the system and confirmed I was right, then told me to go ahead to the room while they "fixed the issue." Once we were both undressed and lying on the tables, the receptionist came in and told me they did not have a male masseuse available at all. At that point, I felt completely put on the spot--I was already prepared for the massage and had little choice but to accept a female therapist, which I did reluctantly. She offered a partial refund at that moment, which I agreed to, but the situation was already uncomfortable and frustrating. The massage itself was just okay--definitely not worth the buildup or the inconvenience. Things got worse afterward. When I returned to the front desk, I was told that, after speaking with the owner, they could offer me a 10% discount... for my NEXT visit. That felt dismissive, considering the mistake was entirely on their end. Then came the worst part: our third friend--the one we were celebrating--never even received her massage. Her therapist simply didn't show up. The explanation given was that the therapist had been in a car accident and couldn't make it. While that may be true, the situation was handled terribly, and it left our friend--on her birthday--without the experience we had all planned together. I later received a call from the owner apologizing and offering a 30% discount for a future visit. But at that point, it felt more like an attempt to get us to come back rather than genuinely make things right. Between the scheduling errors, poor communication, lack of accountability, and the fact that the birthday guest didn't even receive her service, this was a completely unacceptable experience. Needless to say, they've lost three customers.

I left feeling so reinvigorated in every aspect possible- this was so interesting as I went in planning on having a massage body & mind completely recharged. It felt like I had a massage but also so much more. ---- The only grievance I would like to raise nothing to do with service only the venu. The walls are quite thin, and when people walk through the building, speaking loudly, it can be very distracting and detracts from the experience. I hope they resolve this by reminding all who enter to use inside voices at the check-in, or adding sound proofing.

My massage therapist was Audrey. She was wonderful. She spent a few minutes at the start of the treatment to find out if I had any special areas of concern and then invited me to choose my aromatherapy oil. I chose the one with sweet orange. I love the relaxation room at the Seagate: it has a very calming vibe. I was offered either a peppermint tea or some prosecco when I arrived. I chose the tea. In the past, I have chosen the prosecco. However, ever since The Seagate stopped serving the prosecco in a real champagne glass, I have switched to the tea. Prosecco does NOT taste as good served in a plastic cup! When asked about this change, I was told that their champagne glasses kept disappearing.... . Really people?? The Seagate is one of my favorite spas! It's not an actual Sage Head Spa... they are renting out two rooms with tons of different beauty specialists around. I could hear tons of people chatting in the hallway.
