Downsides: 1) aging facilities - the swimsuit centrifuge and showers in the men's locker room are barely working, 2) frequent cancellations of swim hours due to hosting meets, construction, holidays etc, and 3) lack of parking - the lot is often completely full.

So an update 1)…read moreAnother new GM. 3rd one in the last yr. This one has been denied the job several times at a couple locations. Hired in house with no tennis experience. Tennis side of the club is livid 2) Renovation to Men's wet area are 15 months in and dry sauna works, nope, closed for the 3rd time this month. New tile is cracking .... 3) New Tennis director teachs at the club and has applied 5 times and on the 6th attempt gets the job. FyI 6tennis directors in 8 yrs Members pay the same monthly dues but Members who have been around have groups taking 7 or 8 courts every week and are not required to make reservations. THEY ARE GRANDFATHERED IN, per the new GM, Micki. OTHER members are required to get up at 4:55 AM, 48 hrs in advance to "maybe" get a court.

I get emails weekly about amenities being unavailable. The weight room is extremely crowded, and they run classes simultaneously in the morning (one on the treadmills and one on the squat racks), both BLASTING music, on top of the normal music that plays for the rest of the gym. It's insane. I can barely hear what's in my own headphones. Staff is generally friendly, but for what you pay ($500+/month for us), it's just too crowded and lacks a lot of the things a normal gym should have (turf, sleds, dedicated stretching areas, more than 10 exercise mats, more than one smith machine, etc). Seriously considering switching to The Village or just going back to Anytime Fitness, which had way better equipment.

They offer so many things here if you're a member. When I visited for the baby shower it was such a beautiful day and the rooftop bar was open. The cabanas were a vibe, staff was attentive It was a beautiful baby shower When I visited as a guest I stayed all day, got a smoothie, did a weight lifting class which I loved the instructor was so good. Music in the class made me dance while I worked out it was such a vibe. I was sore in places I haven't been sore in years after taking this class, I def want to try the yoga and Pilates class next visit. After we worked out we hit the cold plunge, sauna and hot tub. Showers were amazing as they have Kiehl's products body wash/shampoo and conditioner. They have blow dryers and endless towels Bathrooms and locker rooms were clean. It was neat they also had a spot where we dried off our swimsuit after we hit the pool.

We had 25 boys at our house and he kept the kids from getting hurt by stopping any dangerous horseplay by blowing his whistle and giving clear direction without being mean or intimidating. He constantly kept a watchful eye over the kids in the pool while I enjoyed our party and our guests. Knowing that the kids were all safe in the pool was priceless!!

The tech Richard was very patient as he explained to me. What needed to be repaired and got it all done the same day as the initial visit which worked out because he didn't have to order parts. He came prepared. He took time to also explain a few other things to help my pull vacuum, run more efficiently and made some suggestions. Very pleased with this company. Dispatch was also very nice and helpful. Taking time to listen to my concerns before scheduling the appointment Thank you very much. I will definitely request for American Home shield to use you again for our future pool needs covered under warranty.

I joined a few months back. They insisted I do a session with a trainer before I started. I…read moresuspected they were trying to sell me a trainer but I did the session anyway. The trainer didn't listen to me when I told about issues I had from surgery and showed them the recommendations from Mayo's physical therapy. The trainer insisted I do a few exercises I had no experience with. I would have said but I didn't know the impact it would have on my injuries. I've spent 8 weeks in physical therapy and still not recovered from the injury caused by the trainer. Haven't been back. When I'm able to go to a gym again, it won't be LA Fitness. DONT TAKE THEIR "FREE" TRAINING SESSION!

You have to do a swim test to go off of the diving boards, but it is pretty easy to do and wasn't a hassle so it was worth it. Adults were $3 to get in and kids are free at this location. Swim lessons in the morning and afternoons so the pool gets a little more crowded when they start the afternoon lessons and move everyone to the other half of the pool. Reguardless, it was a great day. I forgot my sunscreen but they had some there for me to use and it was free! My favorite word... FREE! City of Phoenix is stepping up its game.
