The two outdoor pools are heated during the winter months, which results in a higher seasonal monthly membership fee until the spring. Downsides: 1) aging facilities - the swimsuit centrifuge and showers in the men's locker room are barely working, 2) frequent cancellations of swim hours due to hosting meets, construction, holidays etc, and 3) lack of parking - the lot is often completely full.

After parking in their complimentary lot without any issues, I checked in at the front desk. You can work out in a bunch of different ways at the Village: standard fitness equipment, classes, basketball, swimming, racquetball, and more. With that being said, they're known for tennis. While I don't know exactly how many courts they have, I'd venture to guess over 20. They're all outside... I don't understand why they don't have at least one or two inside given how hot it is in Phoenix. Which is why we decided to play at 8 p.m. When you're playing, you have the Papago mountains in the background which makes for a picturesque experience. The courts are well maintained, there are shaded seats, wet towels, and water jugs. All of this is a nice touch. You can also rent ball machines if you're practicing solo. The courts weren't busy since it was a Sunday, late, and it was during the summer, but if the weather is nice and it's a weekend, expect the courts to be packed. You can reserve a court to be safe. After working out, I showered at the facility. I was impressed here too. The showers are a good size, you have saunas, hot tubs, steam rooms, and an area to chill with comfortable seating. You don't have to bring toiletries because they basically have everything you would need: soap, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, after shave, shaving cream, combs, q-tips, etc. Talk about convenience. For all of the amenities, you are going to pay a premium. More expensive than places like Mountainside Fitness. At least in my mind, it's only work it if you go several times a week. Or if you're interested in tennis especially. You can also take lessons for an additional charge. The staff I interacted with, though limited, was pleasant.

So an update 1)…read moreAnother new GM. 3rd one in the last yr. This one has been denied the job several times at a couple locations. Hired in house with no tennis experience. Tennis side of the club is livid 2) Renovation to Men's wet area are 15 months in and dry sauna works, nope, closed for the 3rd time this month. New tile is cracking .... 3) New Tennis director teachs at the club and has applied 5 times and on the 6th attempt gets the job. FyI 6tennis directors in 8 yrs Members pay the same monthly dues but Members who have been around have groups taking 7 or 8 courts every week and are not required to make reservations. THEY ARE GRANDFATHERED IN, per the new GM, Micki. OTHER members are required to get up at 4:55 AM, 48 hrs in advance to "maybe" get a court.

They offer so many things here if you're a member. When I visited for the baby shower it was such a beautiful day and the rooftop bar was open. The cabanas were a vibe, staff was attentive It was a beautiful baby shower When I visited as a guest I stayed all day, got a smoothie, did a weight lifting class which I loved the instructor was so good. Music in the class made me dance while I worked out it was such a vibe. I was sore in places I haven't been sore in years after taking this class, I def want to try the yoga and Pilates class next visit. After we worked out we hit the cold plunge, sauna and hot tub. Showers were amazing as they have Kiehl's products body wash/shampoo and conditioner. They have blow dryers and endless towels Bathrooms and locker rooms were clean. It was neat they also had a spot where we dried off our swimsuit after we hit the pool.

This location also features a café, full spa, hot tub, cold plunge, sauna, and premium Locker rooms. They even have a daycare facility for the little ones. They too can some get some exercise and energy out while you get your workout in.. Then while they still have extra energy, you can relax and unwind in the spa or sauna. We had 25 boys at our house and he kept the kids from getting hurt by stopping any dangerous horseplay by blowing his whistle and giving clear direction without being mean or intimidating. He constantly kept a watchful eye over the kids in the pool while I enjoyed our party and our guests. Knowing that the kids were all safe in the pool was priceless!!

The tech Richard was very patient as he explained to me. What needed to be repaired and got it all done the same day as the initial visit which worked out because he didn't have to order parts. He came prepared. He took time to also explain a few other things to help my pull vacuum, run more efficiently and made some suggestions. Very pleased with this company. Dispatch was also very nice and helpful. Taking time to listen to my concerns before scheduling the appointment Thank you very much. I often have to find other pieces of equipment to use while members are idly sitting on the machines scrolling for 5-10 minutes and often longer. Swim lessons in the morning and afternoons so the pool gets a little more crowded when they start the afternoon lessons and move everyone to the other half of the pool. Reguardless, it was a great day. I forgot my sunscreen but they had some there for me to use and it was free! My favorite word... FREE! City of Phoenix is stepping up its game.

We have been VERY happy with everything…read more First contact - I have a good friend who owns a pool building business but was in the process of moving to another state. I contacted my friend to ask him to build the pool but due to his circumstances he couldn't do it in the time frame we wanted (signed contract late June, finish before end of summer) because he wouldn't be in town for the summer. I asked who I should talk to and he gave me James' contact info and said he's the best builder in the valley. The entire process with Blue Dot was great. We went through the design and ordering process in June. Selected colors and materials. We changed many things along the way, but James and the others at Blue Dot always took care of us. After a lot of changes we signed the final plan in late June. They started the build process quickly - so soon that I'm sure they had crews scheduled even before we finalized the plan. Kept us informed when crews were coming (and due to our rush they were early most of the time). The entire build process was great!!! I especially appreciated the fact that James was very direct in pointing out where I could do some of the smaller jobs myself and save money (like safety locks on the doors and fence, etc.). He was more than happy to keep me involved in the build. Blue Dot finished the pool just like we wanted and the kids were swimming end of August. Then, just when you'd expect a builder to disappear and move onto the next job ... things got better. James came over the day the pool finished filling and spent 2 1/2 hours giving me a private pool school training. He went over the equipment, showed me how to test the water, gave details about why I needed to do all the things he was teaching me. This is the first pool we've had and I learned so much that neighbors and family contact me to ask pool questions. Of course I didn't remember everything .... but James and I emailed back and forth daily for the first 40 days (at his request) for me to send him the numbers and James to coach me on what to do to keep the water clean and clear. Then, a year later we started noticing cracks in the deck. One email to James and his crew was there a few days later to patch and fix the deck. Then, two years later (a few days ago) I thought I had some equipment problems that I'd need to pay James to come fix. I took a video of what I was seeing in my equipment and emailed it to Blue Dot. James called me on Saturday mornning and explained what I was doing wrong (I'm sure he told me about it in my private pool school and I forgot) but he was the consumate teacher and described how to fix it and why it needed to be set a specific way. So - call Blue Dot for your pool. We are very glad we did. Incidentally, our friend who built pools has been by several times to visit. He agrees that the pool is awesome.
