I was impressed at…read morefirst with 1st Choice Heating but upon working (or trying) to work with them further the more I became wary and distrusting of this company. My HVAC died and it's old, they don't make it anymore. I'm also dealing with a horrible warranty company. When their tech came out, he was personable and very helpful and went a little above and beyond to help me which was impressive. The second time they came out, felt the same way. The situation still wasn't resolved as I was informed by my warranty company I needed a second opinion from a DIFFERENT company. Brad told me he would stick by me and help me out. The day of our third appointment came and Brad was going to come back with a friend of another company. He called 5 min before my appointment and canceled. I asked him to get back to me ASAP to reschedule as I work full time. A week goes by and I don't hear back from anyone even after texting. I finally heard back and was told that I need to go with a different company. There were other odd reasonings as to why they couldn't come out or accommodate me. I was also quoted SUPER high. Disappointed and confused by my experience with first heating, just be wary and use your judgment.

Do not recommend. This company got absolutely nothing right! I had this company out because I had…read morelint from my washing machine back up into my dishwasher. Without looking at the pump, the repairman said the pump was bad. I showed him the lint inside my dishwasher, so I assumed it was plugged. Wouldn't even look to see if the lint just needed to be removed from the hose. Long story short $60 to be told it was a bad pump without actually looking at anything! I said fine order a new one. Waited weeks and they called and scheduled the repair. Then no call and no show on the scheduled replacement day. I called and they rescheduled. He showed back up today and can't get the dishwasher out of the hole to replace the pump. If he had done anything other than charge me $60 last time, he would have known that! Complete waste of time with them. I did call the company and spoke to the owner prior to posting this review. He said if his guy said it was the pump, it was the pump. He said they don't pull apart the dishwasher because the hose might leak when they put it back together. (Oh you mean you can't replace the little clamp as part of your inspection we paid $60 for???). Now that I know what everything looks like I am shocked!! Updated: it gets better. The repairman. told me I'd have to take my counter top off or rip up my floor to get the dishwasher out. I recently bought the house, but I was pretty sure NOTHING had been updated since it was built 20 years ago. He tells me they put in the wood floor around the dishwasher so I have to tear it up to get the dishwasher out. The contractor comes out to either remove the counter top or tear up the floor. He spins the feet on the bottom of it, and pulls the dishwasher right out!!! Seriously! How does a repairman with 20 years of experience (which is what the owner told me when I called to complain about him not actually checking anything) NOT know to spin the feet to remove it??? Now that it's out, I'll be calling someone else to look at it. I'll update if it wasn't the pump to begin with. Since he never looked at it, it's hard to say. 2nd update: So, it was NEVER the pump! Had that jerk looked at anything, I wouldn't have spent months without a dishwasher. The pump worked fine, which we found out by unplugging the drain hose from the disposal. Turns out the handyman who installed the new disposal forgot to pop out the dishwasher plug before installing it. Dishwasher had no issues! This company got absolutely NOTHING right. Run!

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was frustrating enough that I feel others…read moreshould be aware. I originally heard from this company on April 30 for a warranty repair on a washing machine and provided all the requested information the same day. After that, I heard nothing for nearly a week until May 6, when they finally reached back out to schedule. As property owners who regularly coordinate appliance and maintenance service calls across multiple rental properties, we work with repair technicians often and have never experienced anything like this. Scheduling with tenants, coordinating access, and working with third-party service providers is something we do regularly, and we've never had issues with communication or professionalism until this experience. When I tried to clarify scheduling due to tenant availability, communication quickly became unprofessional. Rather than simply answering questions or discussing options, I was met with dismissive, rude responses over text and was also spoken to unprofessionally over the phone. To make matters worse, important appointment requirements--such as needing an adult present--were never communicated upfront, only brought up after the technician was already on the way. Instead of taking ownership of that lack of communication, the responsibility was shifted onto me. At that point, we no longer felt comfortable moving forward. The repair was never completed, and we ultimately contacted GE Appliances directly. To their credit, GE was extremely helpful, listened to our concerns, and immediately arranged service with A-Tech Appliance. Before my call with GE had even ended, A-Tech had already reached out, helped us get scheduled, and clearly communicated important appointment expectations--including that someone 18 or older needed to be present and that pets should be secured. That is what professional communication looks like. If you're in Arkansas and need appliance service, I would absolutely recommend A-Tech. Scheduling issues happen--I understand that. But poor communication, lack of professionalism, and speaking to customers disrespectfully is not acceptable. Based on our experience, I would not use this company again. After this experience, I reviewed other customer feedback and was disappointed--but not surprised--to see similar concerns raised about communication and professionalism.
