    Metroplex Piano Moving

Metroplex moved my grand piano from Dallas to St Louis and I am very happy I found them…read more From start to finish everything was easy and very professional. I had approximately a two month delay in the closing of my home before moving and had to change the date a few times. The day they arrived I went and hid in another room because I HATE IT when I am trying to do something and need to concentrate and another person is watching me or better yet trying to give me advise when they have no idea what I am trying to do. Was trying not to pay attention but in a two bedroom condo it is easy to listen to conversations. They just wanted to make sure everything was fine and I could tell that they were concerned about the job they were doing. There was a snow storm before they came and I told them the streets were clear as well as the sidewalks and the entrance to my condo. Since I do not move pianos did not realize that the snow banks due to plowing streets and sidewalks would create a problem. They figured out the best SNOWLESS route and now I have my piano at last. Have not played yet but am sure it needs a major tune BUT the piano looks in perfect condition. highly recommended the times I had to call to change the move date which was not my fault Andrew was very nice even though I was embarrassed since I had booked the date. Andrew is a very nice person, knows what he is doing, and conscientious about the pieces he is moving highly recommended

First, I'd like to start with the positive. Local moves - A+!…read more Now, after they did 2 local moves for me, I decided to use them for an out of state move. I felt fully confident going into this. Dallas to Boston. I reached out to Andrew, the owner and we chatted for weeks regarding logistics. I was very specific as this was my grandmother's piano that I had a special tie to. Photos, videos, measurements, not just written but photos of measuring tapes, etc. I was promised no problem. Andrew's crew picked up the piano at my house in Dallas. Great crew, no problem! I get given a delivery date. Day before, I reach out to get told there was an issue and we had to push it back a week. No problem. A week later, no piano, another week push back. No problem, I understand. But now, I find out my piano is in Seattle! Why, they are making several deliveries. Okay, I get it. I'm now told by the delivery guy they got held up in Seattle because the recipient wasn't ready. We add an extra day. They now have another stop (I think Arizona). Guess what, recipient not ready, we add another day. Then my time comes. Memorial Day! 9:30 PM!!! Yes, PM! They arrive. First, I get told, no credit cards! Cash or Venmo. I find that odd because I paid the first half via credit card. Oh well! Moving on. My Steinway Model B gets unloaded! We get to the elevator and guess what, it doesn't fit. The delivery guy, who I now learn is a different company owned by Andrews brother is now FaceTiming Andrew to get guidance. No luck. I said, you'll just have to take it back to Dallas! This is when things go bad! These were the statements I got - I don't have room on the truck! Hmmm, you just took it off. I have a big paying job where I'm picking up 3 pianos in Yonkers NY! Can't you just leave the piano in the lobby here? It adds value! WTF! Now I'm pissed! Remember, it's after 9:30 PM! I can't even get a storage! I told them they'd have to wait until tomorrow. The answer, no! But, remember, he stayed in Seattle and Arizona (I think). What am I to do at this hour? I have no option besides to sell it! Yes, at this hour. I have no clue how to sell a piano, much less at this hour! The owner gave me two names of brokers. One, asleep (well, go figure). The other awake in Florida! I get made an offer that made my skin crawl but I have zero other options. I hang up the phone to hear, "we got it in." I'm now crying with excitement! Up we go to the 28th floor! We arrive! I look at the piano! Scratched, dented and damaged from shoving it in! I bring this to the attention of the guy and he said, well, Andrew will have to fix it! I'm now beyond pissed! And guess what, Andrew doesn't answer his phone! Next comment was, he will have to get someone to come here to fix it because it's never getting in an elevator again. So, I'm supposed to accept the damaged piano that can never be moved again and hope he will fix it. I'm sorry but I'm not stupid. Piano is sold. They try to collect a moving fee from me still! Even with all of my receipts of texts, videos, acknowledgments, Andrew now won't even reimburse me for the first half of the move! I had to sell a family heirloom on a holiday, after 9:30p, for a huge loss and now I don't get any refund on a move! Again, as I started, local moves, great! Long distance, find someone else! At this point, with what I've experienced, I wouldn't trust them with anything! Good luck!
