My nails broke after 1service! I had 2Gel Manicures after a hiatus of years due to mediocrity. First I did pink, the gel lasted less than 2 weeks first & I did my non-drill gel manicure. The second gel mani I chose a pastel yellow. Within a few days the polish started to peel off. I have never seen this! So I went back & the woman who did my nails first & second time weren't there but there was an older sweet woman & said she would fix the couple of peeled nails free.. within a few days all the gel nails started to peel off & I went back saying what is going on? This has never happened. The same sweet older woman told the truth!! She said yellow & pastel colors don't last because of how they are chemically here, I said okay thanks for letting me know that..I mean now...so I chose another color. BOOM THE OTHER WOMAN WHO DID THE YELLOW APPEARS & says remember I said I should DRILL DOWN YOU NAILS BECAUSE THE GEL WILL LAST LONGER? UM SHE NEVER SAID THAT.. Then she asked me to pay $15 because it's been 5days, I said ok but knew it was bad business. What she should've said was her yellows don't last & your nails don't need FORCEFUL DRILL DOWN.. you could pick another color that wouldn't require drilling. BY THE WAY my nails were strong & these people will lie to you just to say they know what they are talking about..STICK TO YOUR GUT & DO NOT CHANGE HOW YOU PREFER TO DO YOUR NAILS BECAUSE SOME SCAMMERS SAYS TRUST ME, IT WILL LAST LONGER! My nails are broken now because she purposefully wanted to drill my nails down to make $30. Crazy & ruining business instead of doing good work! I will never return! read more

There is literally only one good pedicurist here. Everyone else THINKS they know what they are doing and talk mad shit and laugh back and for when you ask them to correct something. Very condescending attitudes if you ask anything extra of them. I'm a firm believer in making sure your service is the way you want it if you are paying your hard earned money. They did not remove all of the gel from the last pedicure so my nail beds are thick as fuck, you can see the dent in the polish from the old polish still being there.. The French is THICK AS A BITCH! I asked SEVERAL time ls for him to make them thinner... idk wtf he wiped but it wasn't the French clearly. I had to get this dry ass boring color because the bold color i wanted looked horrible because of the fat ass crooked lines.. so yea I'm done! I walked into the salon on a busy Saturday afternoon, and two of the technicians looked directly at me and didn't say anything. I sat there for at least 5 minutes and still no one spoke a word. I went here on Tuesday to have my nails done and here it is Sunday and I'm already missing 4 nails. First of all they are slow as molasses, 2 hours just to get a pedicure that still wasn't finished yet, then Katrina rushed my nails and left a lot of acrylic underneath the nail that made it look fat and ugly. I was totally unpleased and complained about the lines being uneven before leaving but she was so in a rush for the next person money that she totally didn't care. And gave me attitude because I didn't like my nails after spending my hard earned money I will not be going back ever again. Horrible work, done by unlicensed nail techs. I am fairly sure these are unlicensed nail techs who are being taught on the job. All of the health certificates are made out to Queenie Vo. However that person does not work at the salon. The salon is owned/managed by Katrina, also called Trina. I have tried to give this place three shots, because it is in my neighborhood. Each time the results are terrible. The first time I went, I had to have gel nails taken off, so I gave the shoddy work a pass. The second time I went, not only did the service take forever, it was lumpy and over layered (four coats of polish, plus base and top coat is asking for trouble). Of course my nails chipped and peeled within a day. (My usual OPI manis last about 7 days). The third time (today) the nail tech used a top coat on metallic color (such a basic error - metallic color + top coat = bubbles and warping.) the tech insisted on using the machine to grind my natural nails down. I have been having my nails done for over 20 years. Mostly a regular manicure, sometimes (like once a year, gel). No one has ever ground my nails down, I have been told for years that I have healthy nail beds. I left two hours after I walked in, with no color on my hands, because the work was terrible. Just terrible. Maybe they are great at acrylic nails? The space is new, so it's clean. But I will not be going back. Horrible work done by unlicensed nail techs. read more

I have tried to like this place on many occasions, TODAY WILL BE MY FINAL VISIT! This is a HIT or MISS location for the work they do. Sometimes it's ok and most times because they are rushing to get to the next waiting customer, your service will be BOTCHED!! That was not the case today. I went in wanting gel nails ( my preferred application) and came out with something TOTALLY HORRIBLE! The tech wanted to file the old polish off (which they always want to do yo save time and get the next sucker in the chair faster) causing damage to my real nails. I told her I wanted it soaked off. While waiting I selected a pretty nail polish but upon seeing the old bottle of clumped mess once the tech brought it to the table, I decided that was not a good option. I also decided not to select any other because they probably were ALL OLD & CLUMPY! The tech began to proceed with my manicure... PURE DISASTER! In between texting and talking on her phone she painfully & unnecessarily clipped the corners of my nails, and cuticles. I told her she was being rough as well as pulled away when she did so. I SHOULD HAVE LEFT IMMEDIATELY! Once she so called HALF ASSED removed the previous gel polish and clipped and filed my nails she told me to go and wash my hands. I did so and noticed that this was not her best work. When I got back to her station, I let her know that I had decided against getting gel and this is where the problem began. I don't think she liked that being that a REGULAR manicure is less than a gel manicure. She began trimming & clipping again. (But isn't that what she just did before I was told to wash my hands??!) Anyway, upon trimming and clipping again she clipped so far down that she DREW BLOOD! She did not say a word nor apologize! She then proceeded to grab the polish to begin polishing, It was at this point my anger came out! I asked what she was going to do about the bleeding and she looked at me like she didn't understand what I was saying! (ALL UP TO THIS POINT SHE HAD BEEN SPEAKING FLUENT ENGLISH WITH UNDERSTANDING!!) I asked for alcohol she grabbed a bottle of some aqua colored liquid to apply. I had to repeat to her that I wanted ALCOHOL. She produces the alcohol and a piece of cotton acting like she doesn't know how to apply alcohol to a wound so I do it myself. I then ask how much because now it's way past time for me to get outta there. She writes $23 on a piece of paper. I ask how did you come up with $23?! $18 for the BOTCHED manicure and $5 for the gel polish removal! I then asked how much will you deduct for making me bleed? Again with the not understanding english... The manager then comes over looks at the blood and tells her to deduct a whole $5 for my blood loss... So I was charged $18 for this BS manicure which pictures have been included. You can keep making them rich by overpaying money for GARBAGE SERVICES!! read more

This is the first time in a LONG time that I've said I love my nails!!! I have found my new home in Nu Nails. After frequenting a local salon for over 6 Years, I decided to branch out and explore some of the techniques that I've been seeing all over the Internet. The basic nail gel colors are outdated and BORING! So at the recommendation of a waitress at a local restaurant I frequent, I gave it a go! The place is small with limited seating for waiting but my wait wasn't long. I was able to get started on my pedi. Only downfall to the pedi was the chairs. They did offer the chair massage like most typically do. Cindy was my tech and did a great job. I got the basic. At $28, that's all I need for now. I got my fill in from Katrina who is simply THE BEST! She worked fast and efficiently. She shaped them just the way I wanted. I love my chrome nails! Needless to say, I will be back! read more

I've been here since 9:40 and guess what its still closed. Although, their sign says open they are closed and now I'm pissed off because it cost me $16.00 in an Uber. She is the only nail technician to ever get my nails and toes exactly just the way I want them! Ill write a 1,000 reviews just to let you all know how good she is! She is very patient, she takes her time and perfects her work, she reassures you to make sure you are satisfied and she always try new things (if she can execute it perfectly) if I ask! This nail salon charges the top dollar for this area, with very basic skills and has the nerve to still use dangerous chemicals like EMA which is similar to MMA which is now outlawed. A perfect example of a business that doesn't care about your health, just your wealth. When removing my nails (soaking them off) they were extremely damaged after my full set. I won't be able to get them done again for awhile. If your gonna charge top dollar, at least use products that won't damage my nails and risk my health. I was extremely disappointed Because I paid $200 and normally when getting my nails done with the safer alternatives, my nails continue to thrive no matter what. Wow! I have a new favorite nail salon! Went here with a friend 3 weeks ago following lunch at Pennyroyal Station for gel manicures and regular pedicures. Very friendly service and great attention to detail. My gel manicure still looks great 3 weeks later! What really had me at "hello" was that although one of my nails was slightly cracked at the top when I came in- rather than "cut down my nails" like almost every other salon would do- the Kristina took the time to repair the nail with powder/ nail glue and proceed with an amazing gel manicure. She also expertly removed an annoying callous on the bottom of my foot. Needless to say, this is my new "go to" nail salon and favorite color of polish! read more

So glad I didn't listen to their bad reviews and gave this place a shot. I walked in for a pedicure and sns dip powder and was immediately seated. The pedicure was basic and was nothing to write home about. The sns manicure however, was great. I asked for an ombre and got exactly what I had in mind. My only complaint was that I didn't really receive an actual manicure (no cuticle care) but the woman who did my nails may have misunderstood me when I asked her to do nothing but file my nails. The bathroom is also a little dingy so I would avoid using it unless you have to, but this is a great place to go to get high quality work done in a short amount of time. They don't have a parking lot but it's typically pretty easy to find a meter directly in front of the shop or on the street behind it. I was a little surprised with how much my total came out to be ($90- $30 pedicure and $60 ombre sns) since the regular sns manicure is $40 there but that's pretty consistent with the rest of the area and beauty is pain (to my bank account) I guess. I like my nails and toes. I walked in and was immediately seated. I'm not a fan of the electric filing of my nail bed or toes. I prefer for the gel to be soaked off with foil. But the nail technician did not speak English, so communication was a bit challenging. They are a little pricey, I paid $100 for dipping powder on nails and gel polish on toes. I went yesterday to get my eyebrows done and they messed them up, like literally waxed the middle of my eyebrow, I'm still confused as to how that can even happen, when I specifically said a clean up. And then instead of telling me right away, they had me sitting there like it wasn't obvious she messed. This is the salon I grew up coming to, never had any bad experiences, always trusted them with my brows, but obviously things change, maybe management, maybe staff, I don't know.
