Im not sure where to even begin with this review. On the surface this looks like a modern hair salon with established stylists. The stylist are friendly, but lack any real talent or skill. This Salon works if youre a male looking for a trim or an older lady with short hair who needs a color retouch for her roots. Or Hannah Montana loose curls that were popular in the 2000s. I moved to the area 1.5 years ago from Long Island. It seems like every girl upstate takes 1-3 balayage classes and calls themselves a "specialist" or "expert" in blondes. In this Salon youll find older stylists who use hair techniques popular 20 years ago, and the younger stylists who clearly arent experienced enough to have their own chair based off the one class they took. Words cant explain how badly my Stylist Mia messed up my hair. I went in for a correction and explained thoroughly what I needed and expected. I asked her to do a hair strand test MULTIPLE TIMES. I also asked to see a picture of what she thought she could accomplished in my hair. Didn't get either. After spending 6 hours there I left with worse hair then I walked in with!! THIS IS THE MOST UPSETTING PART. I went into this Salon because I was unhappy with work from another stylist, it wasn't until I walked out of Nuance that I had a mental breakdown in tears because of how bad my hair looked. This was a result of not doing a proper consultation, not being a skilled enough stylist to work on my hair, not listening to clients needs. I was there for 6 hours because she used 10-15 developer when she needed to be using 10 or even 30 in some places. I was charged $200 and left a $40 tip in consideration for the time spent. I left with my hair wet hoping it would look better when it dried. The next day there was clear animosity (I don't know why, I am a customer looking for an issue to be rectified) Mia gave me an hour of her time and said she could not give me any more time, despite the fact I was still not happy. My hair looked better than the first time she worked on it, but it looked almost identical to what I walked in with trying to correct. I told her repeatedly I do not want blonde chunks in the front and for some odd reason that's what she did. If she didn't feel comfortable working on my hair, or that we could accomplish what I wanted - she couldve been honest from the beginning. When I asked for partial refund cause I was not happy she blocked me lol. If youre looking for amazing hair, color correction, or a new look - Stay away from here. An updated salon on the outside, and on the inside ran by outdated and mediocre stylists. The main focus was the hairline, the rest of my hair was already lightened. This makes it harder to find the next stylist, once your hair has been botched. Eventually after I give my hair a break I will have to pay another stylist for a color correction & Balayage. When I called out their clearly shoddy work, I was blocked. Tells you all you need to know, really. Look at their IG I was unsure if the work they were doing is the work being requested my clients, so I didn't want to judge. Having been there and gotten an awful experience, I now know what you see is what you get. If you want to look mediocre this is your spot! If you want to look amazing and get compliments on your beautiful hair, stay away from this silver polished turd vessel. read more

This is a great salon with talented friendly stylists. Stacey does a great job and gives million dollar service to all her customers. Janet is a new owner and seems to be a great fit for the salon. She brought in pizza for the staff on a busy Saturday which was thoughtful! Britney is young and full of life and works hard to please her customers. I'd recommend this salon. I've been going to Christina for over a year now and every single time she's done a fantastic job. She really listens to what you want done and makes sure you're happy with the cut before you leave. This salon was recommended to me by a friend and I am SO glad I tried them out. My first visit to Nuance was amazing!! I had an appointment with Jen for color and cut. I have medium length, thick wavy hair that can be very rebellious if not cut correctly. Jen picked out the perfect shade of color for my hair and 6 weeks later my color still looks great! She cut my hair so well that I can practically blow it dry with my fingers and it falls in place perfectly. The salon itself is gorgeous and offers those nice touches like coffees and teas, etc. And a bonus is that the location is easy to get in and out of. read more

Absolutely the best hair salon I have ever been to. I'm from out of state and had to correct a horrible haircut. Jen was my hair stylist and she did an outstanding job of making my hair look fabulous!! Found Nuance as a "newbie" to Atlanta. First went in because they have Hot Heads extensions. (Which no one in the area seems to have!) Justin is very informative about all services and Stacy is just the Bestest Ever. She takes her time and does a great job. She never lets me leave the salon until I look like a million bucks! Very disappointed in this place. I have been going here for months and spending $100 plus on my hair every visit. I missed my last appointment and called to reschedule a week before my beach trip. I asked for anytime throughout the week and was told the only day available was Saturday (which I found rather odd). I took the appointment and came in on Saturday (a 30 minute drive to the salon), and was told I did not have an appointment and there was nothing they could do. While talking to the receptionist in the lobby my normal hairdresser walked to the receptionist desk and completely ignored me even standing there before walking off. I ended up having to leave and find someone who would cut my hair the same day because I was leaving for the beach the next. It is very disappointing to go to a salon and spend so much money on cuts, colors, and their recommended products for hair and then be treated like you are not worth their time even after scheduling an appointment with them. I started going to Christina at Nuance almost 2 years ago. When I first came to her I had been going to another upscale salon in sandy springs; but my hair was getting thinner, brittle and did not look healthy. A friend recommended I try Nuance. In a matter of 6 months, with appointments every 6 weeks for cuts and color treatments, my hair totally transitioned into healthy, shinny hair! It's only gotten better!
