I'm extremely disappointed and had the worst customer service at Boch Toyota Norwood. When I asked to speak with a service manager they quickly transferred me to Larry Dulski (who is not the service manager) he provided me with a nightmare of a night. The service center is opened till 8pm. I managed to get my car towed there by 620pm. He refused to check my car his excuse was "There are no technicians" to top it all off he told me I would have to leave the car there till the next day. I then asked him if he could provide me with a loaner car (since I have a 4 month old) and his response was " we don't do that but I can gladly get you a rental for $35.00 a day" when I told him I would need a loaner car he them told me to see my way to the waiting area (I am a customer not your child) he was rude, dismissive, and ignorant. The next day I contacted Boch Norwood regarding my car and Larry informed me I needed to replace my car battery, but two other mechanics at another Toyota dealership assured me that was not the issue. Boch Toyota Norwood never took the time to properly diagnosis my problem, and because of them I had to pay $390 for a complete maintenance check. (AND IT WAS NOT MY BATTERY) I will never buy another car at their dealership, and I want to warn others about the unreliable and faulty service! I brought my car in for an oil change. Called an made an appointment in advance. When choosing a time they told me today was "wide open" so I selected a time today. Showed up to the appointment 5mins early to make sure I didnt miss it. TWO HOURS later I am still waiting for an oil change (which the Toyota website indicates is a 30-45minute service) and nobody has come to check in with any sort of update. Was dealing with a Claudio Guimas via email and phone. I have been adamant about transparency before I go to their lot and make the purchase. However, he was slow and not forthcoming about information I have been requesting. Sure enough after repeated requests and clarification via email and telephone he keeps slipping in changes in either the rebates I was supposed to be getting and finally adding another $500 to the quoted price. 1. He said that I am losing a $500 discount because I will not be using Toyota Financial Services for financing. This, I was informed only when I kept pressing for the final sale amount on the day we were about to go there and make the purchase. 2. Adding another $500 on top of the quoted price claiming that it was a different color that he quoted me when I have emails from him with the specs sheet (VIN # and Stock #) and his quoted price. I an astonished at how poorly we were treated today. I made an appointment online, was greeted and took a test drive with two cars. Our sales person was amazing but the Business Manager, Ian Merril acted completely unprofessionally. Instead of talking with us with regards to price, he just asked us to leave. To be completely frank and honest, the *cash* price they gave us was $2000 more than what the exact same car is listed online on THEIR WEBSITE! The absolute worst auto buying/lease experience ever!!!!!! Total bait & switch ... complete dishonest process. Wasted an afternoon at this joke of a place. Waste of Time - I spent a day going back and forth with Michael Hall regarding the purchase of a new Rav 4. I received a quote and scheduled time to go in. The morning of, I get a message from another salesperson (Brittany Bongo) saying that Mike used the "wrong discount number" and that the price would be $3050 higher than agreed-upon. I refused and suggested it would be fair to split the difference ($1525) since it was their mistake, but they would not negotiate. Other dealerships I've dealt with have been much more accommodating. If you're looking to be spoken down to, play typical salesperson games (taking your license to "make a copy" or your car keys for an "appraisal" -these are ploys so you can't leave until they have you speak with multiple managers), and have a gruff male manager mansplain to you why your request for a breakdown between the cost of a 10,000 mile lease vs. a 12,000 mile lease doesn't matter as much as the monthly payment, Boch Toyota is the place you should buy your car. Pretty piss-poor and borderline unethical practices here for used cars. They won't even point out body damage on the car and even if you point it out they give you ZERO info about it. Also, they make you wait FOREVER and then blame YOU the CUSTOMER for getting there EARLIER than the agreed-on time. Usually come here for the service for both our vehicles, a Tundra and Highlander, both of which were purchased here. My wife likes convenience and I sometimes come for convenience as well. Service is usually good with one exception...the final pricing. Beware of their "apparent" elementary bait and switch tactics....... Specifically service manager telling you unit pricing for service items to be performed on your vehicle and then saying "I'll take $10 off that one and $20 off that one" and you figure you have a deal. Sounds simple...Right? Example: My wife was verbally told the following QUOTED pricing for work to be performed on her Highlander (Rounded to nearest dollar) *Mount/Balance 4-tires $100 *Alignment $130 - $20 off = $110 *Oil change $68 - $10 off= $58 Never said final value.... But you would think you would pay $ 268 right??? Nope....not when the final bill comes in at $304.. Seems they compute this way.... #)1 Used a LARGER total value on the oil change of $77.00 (not $68) they say included tax and waste removal #2) Threw in the "usual" added cost kicker of $23.46 for "waste removal" #3) Added up all three services with their (unquoted) little costs and come up to a PRINTED BILL total of $334.00 #4)That's when they take the $30 off to come to final value of $304. I was searching for a vehicle but realized it wasn't realistic to get one due to my financial situation. Michaela from Boch Toyota of Norwood, MA called me as a follow up. I told her I am no longer in the market for a call and to please take me off her call list and email list because I no longer wish to receive future communications. Her response to me was "I'll see what I can do." I told her "No you have to, it's the law when someone asked you to take them off your list". She then proceed to hangup on me. Completely unprofessional and so I filed a complaint with the FTC regarding the situation. Boch Toyota needs to re-educate themselves on the FTC telemarking sales rule. From FTC.gov: "If you place your number on the national registry, you can give written permission for a company to call you. Alternately, if you have an established business relationship, you can ask the company not to call you. The company must honor your request, even if you previously gave written permission." Another dealer warned me about this dealer and I should have listened. I went in to test drive a RAV4 Hybrid at Boch and the sales rep was nice, but knew nothing about the car and never followed up with me. I had also filled out a form with TruCar and started dealing with their online team. Each e-mail was answered by a different name (there must have been 5-6) and there was very little continuity. They gave me a price on the model I wanted which they had, but would not lay out all the pricing clearly with the fine print, they told me I had to come in for that. I wanted to just agree to the pricing and not to have to come in to deal with sales. They would not take a deposit on the VIN that I wanted and told me to just come in on Monday, so I made an appointment to buy the car Monday night. I found out that afternoon before I came in that they had sold that car and not told me and so they were just getting me to come in and trying to sell me a different model from their inventory. One rep also told me via e-mail there was 1.9% financing, which was not available on the Hybrid. They also mark up the doc fee and wheel locks much more than other dealers. My whole Boch experience was everything you hate about car buying. I ended up buying from Wellesley Toyota and worked with the GM. They had one online person who gave me the best deal upfront with all of the costs laid out clearly and transparently and did not play any games. They also went and got the model I wanted rather than trying to bait and switch me with something on their lot and I was in and out in an hour to buy the car and sign the paperwork which is how it should be in 2019. The Boch in Norwood is terrible. Please don't waste your time. They do not honor their advertising, they do classic bait and switch, and they did not honor a quote they gave me because "someone must have made a mistake". The salesman I had was nice, seemingly up front, he went through hell to find the car I was quoted on. No complaints about him. It's the sales managers that are underhanded and condescending. I called them out on lying to me, and the sales manager tried to intimidate me by saying "would you like me to go get him? "(in reference to the person who was baiting and switching through email with me) I said "please do! " he came back with my keys instead of the person, and asked if I would recognize my car keys. No, I've only been driving my car for 4 years, I don't think I'd recognize my own keys. Extremely rude. Extremely condescending. They will not leave you alone, until you need something or call them out on their lies.... Then good luck getting them to answer a simple email. They talk through the signing process so they can add on a hundred unnecessary things and you'll just sign away your life because they're distracting you. To be fair I think all dealerships do this, so just watch out. They might seem to have the best deals, but good luck getting them to honor them, and you won't know it until 2 hours into your visit either. read more

Purchased a car from here with a trade in . Car was a great deal and Financing lady Teresa Was awesome knowledgeable and quick . I Signed the paperwork and put down full deposit for car on the same day I test drove it . The car I chose was not a Toyota so they didn't have the title on site. On the other hand my old car (trade in ) was not exactly safe to drive . The manager Andrew helped me out with a loaner car for the weekend . Boch used to be a great car dealership. Too big, profits, whatever it is, it's not good. Advertising 20 plus cars and then having only 5 is not cool. Out of the 5, some were not in very good shape. Not interested in hearing it's only a few scratches, not really much we can do. On top of that, trying to sell at the high end of Kelly blue book for dealer purchase and not offering any leeway in price is bad business. Selling cars with obvious issues hoping nobody asks is just bad business. Being called out in said issues and denying there is a problem is even worse. Word of advice, don't accept the inspection sticker they try to put on your car before delivery. Go to any other place to make sure everything is working order. It could save you money. read more

Called in advance to schedule an appointment to purchase my lease. Arrived on time to find out that they cannot proceed because the service department is actually closed. Wasted my time and my wife's time since we had to bring two cars. The sales person did not seem to be interested in our business at all, provided information that differed from what we were previously told at the same dealership (650 USD instead of 550 USD for the rental car, he said we had to leave the car for 2.5 weeks instead of 2 weeks). In general, very disappointed with the service at this particular location. DO NOT GO HERE FOR MAINTENANCE! They send you a cheap oil change coupon and then slap you with hundreds of dollars worth of stuff that needs to be done. We are done with this place. The first 3 times after we bought our used car we had free oil change - in our 3rd oil change we got 700$ worth of stuff done. Then during the 4th maintenance trip they recommended that we spend 700$ again. My husband gets conned into getting stuff done so this time he spent $250 instead of the 700$. What a WAIT! I came on a Friday afternoon to get an oil change, which should take about 30 minutes. It was my first time going to any car dealership so I was nervous. I had an appointment at 12:15pm and I was able to meet with somebody and hand them my car around 12:08. The worker was nice and had great customer service. He told me that it will be about an hour wait. At first I was caught off guard for the long wait, but there was a quite an amount of people there so it was no problem. However, I ended up waiting TWO hours. The wait was insane. They did provide water and coffee but to wait 2 hours for something that should have only taken half an hour, and given an estimated time of two hours was crazy. The worker reassured me that they were a little back up, but it wasn't until after they came to give me back my car. He didn't check in on me during the two hours whatsoever to give me an update. Luckily I went instead of my dad because my dad has no patience, but two hours was pushing it. read more

BT: It's the only one we sell. Me: Great, thanks. I show up and... they only have the Toyota PINK diluted coolant. Parts guy kept saying "This is the only one we sell, this is the only one we have!" Good for you. Doesn't mean jack when it's not what I want and not what you claim to have on the phone. Why do I need Toyota RED? Because it's 100% non-diluted coolant, so I can adjust my coolant-water ratio to 70% for better freezing and boil over protection. Tell me how I can get 70/30 ratio using your 50/50 PINK pre-diluted coolant. Great job... at being a screw up! read more

I bought a brand new RAV4 from here last year, and the sales process was probably a 3/5. The finance guy was really nice and stayed late to help us finish the paperwork. I was a little frustrated when they told me I could pick the car up 2 days later and then kept giving me the runaround and delaying the pick up date. I ended up picking it up almost a week later after many unanswered and unreturned phone calls to my rep. Now the real hassle is that the last 3 times I've come here to get my usual servicing done (covered by Toyota Care), I have to wait over 2 hours each time. At my last service appointment, I overheard them saying that they "couldn't take any more people without appointments" because it was so busy, and I thought "what?! You can just come here willy nilly without an appointment?" No wonder it takes so long. Personally I think they should take care of the people WITH appointments first because what is even the point of making an appointment then? read more

Is there a way to give NO stars? So my fiance and I went to Boch Toyota because he was interested in the FJ Cruiser. He knew exactly what he wanted: black with manual transmission. After waiting about 35 minutes in their little lounge area, someone fetched us up and sat us down in a little cubicle area. There we waited another 15 minutes until this little Indian man ran over to us (didn't even sit down) and said "Do you know what you want?" My fiance told him "I'm interested in a black FJ Cruiser with manual transmission." The guy said "Hold on, I think we have one on the lot." Then he scurried away and left us for another 10 minutes while he helped other people. Finally he came back and said: "I have a yellow and a blue one on the lot. Both automatic transmission." Then he stood there twitching like he was on cocaine waiting for us to say we would be interested. So my fiance says ; "Well, I'd like a standard in black. Could you locate the nearest dealership with one?" Little crazy jumpy man says "No dealership around here has one." (keep in mind, ten minutes earlier he was pretty sure HE had one, and now nobody has one anywhere) My increasingly annoyed fiance says, "Well could I order one?" Small twitchy guy sighed really loud and said "Well, it's really busy here right now." Then he rolled his eyes and scampered off. He never came back. Nobody came back. This one star review is about 5 years coming. My fiance and I have given this place more chances than we can count at this point and they just can't get anything right. Really and truly - I mean anything. It all started when we bought his brand new Scion TC here in '08. Not only did they try and sell us a car that already had a deposit on it - a deposit put down by an employee who hadn't filled out the appropriate paperwork no less - but then tried to sell us another vehicle without honoring the deal we had negotiated on the first one. After spending an entire day in there ("Please, sit in our waiting room for X minutes" is always doubled by the way, sometimes tripled, and sometimes you're forgotten about entirely), we were able to renegotiate the car and put down a deposit. The car was onsite but we wanted Lo-jack and satellite radio installed, so we couldn't pick up the car until a few days later. We came back 4 days later and the car wasn't ready yet. Annoyed, but willing to realize that this kind of thing happens, we took the three free oil changes** they promised us due to the mistake and left with the guarantee that we could pick up the car the next day. Next day we get a phone call and guess what? Car isn't ready yet! This time they'll drop it off at my fiance's work for him the following day. Sure! This isn't becoming a hassle or anything... Next day they drop off the car and the satellite radio isn't installed correctly. It doesn't work. So back to the Botch* Toyota! They tinker with it and install the missing antenna - we leave at 8pm (three hours after walking in) and cross our fingers that this is the last time we need to deal with this. Three months later we go in to use the free oil change. We've made an appointment and everything. We show up early even! Again, three hours later, we leave the place, vowing that free oil changes aren't worth it. So we forfeit the two remaining oil changes - they're still on the account I guess... but we aren't going to waste our time. One year later we call to renew Lo-jack, and guess what? The bozos at Botch never bothered to actually INSTALL the system. We were charged for it, and since the dealership pays for the first year of service we never had any reason to question it. Heck - there was even the little blinking blue light under the steering column. Once we realize that, we call Botch back, they hassle us for over a week before acquiescing and sending an install tech to my fiance's car to check it out. Lo and behold, no system was ever installed! They had the car for over a week at the dealership when we first bought it and didn't install the two items they kept it for. Which begs the question: What the hell did they use that extra week for, exactly? Eventually the Lo-jack system was installed and registered. Although, it should be good to mention that Botch wouldn't pay for the service at this point because they insisted they already paid for a year. How in hell you pay for service that isn't hooked up is beyond my comprehension and you'd think that they'd have swallowed that particular expense in the name of good customer service - but Botch isn't about that at all. They don't care about your experience. They care about selling the most cars to suckers like you and me. But what brings me to writing this review today? Well, a few weeks ago we received a recall notice about the trunk release. We were going to ignore it, if only because dealing with this dealership is enough to make me want to implode, but a mere two days after the notice arrived the trunk release stopped working. We called, made an appointment for 11:30 today, we confirmed that they had the part and that it should be a half hour repair. Went in today and while they might have the part (that's still to be seen) they scheduled just about everyone for 11:30 and haven't even taken our car in yet. They've said it will be at least an hour. Stay as far away from this cesspool as possible. You have been warned. * Yes Botch is intentionally used here. It's all they end up doing with any job they're given anyway. ** Three free oil changes that we later found out they give to ALL new customers. read more

I have left 3 messages requesting a return call from a customer satisfaction representative and have not received a return call. That's how they roll. Be warned. You need to count your fingers after you shake hands. They ripped me off badly. Update: No one at Boch has been willing to listen to why I feel ripped off by them. Going through my files, I just found the contract for the car I bought here. I think it warrants an update. This car was the first time I'd haggled with a stereotypical dealer and was fairly young so cut me some slack but we'd agreed to knock 3k off the price of the car. This is still my only negative review I have ever written. Boch is still trying to get me to come back in the dealership to get me to sign a new lease. I was unhappy with a bait and switch on a trade in during my last visit after being there for 4 hours. I recently went to Vendetti's GMC Buick in Franklin and they were able to take the trade in that Boch originally said yes to but then changed. They were extremely honest and I was in and out of there in less than an hour and had my car the next day. read more

Very disappointed with this dealership service! They took a $500 cc "hold" until loan closed in 2 days and then said a credit would be processed. It is now 10 days later and no refund. Many calls and messages with no response. They have stolen this money as far as I'm concerned. I'm waiting for Sammi to call me today (3 hours so far) with a copy of the refund to send me. Very mad. I will update this as needed. I've been lied to about the people being with customers, and they are actually off. Who knows what else is a lie. I finally got a finance person to answer and physically process the refund. read more

Run, don't walk out! My business manager, Sammy was a total scammer. He added warranty products that we specifically said we didn't want- twice. He read me what we were being charged for and skipped over the $3000 worth of added items and said "see, you're only paying for what you agreed to ". Then he told me that the paperwork would take a few days to come from Toyota supposedly. Well 3 weeks later, still no paperwork. We found out when the monthly payment came and it was much higher than it should have been. I called his boss, Faith and another 3 weeks and still the charges weren't removed. I think that they were hoping that we would give up. I left repeated messages and emails but nobody called me, answered the phone, or wanted to fix the problem. Finally we got someone 6 weeks in that corrected the problem. They did tell me that Sammy was fired. I have bought cars there before but my "Faith" in current management is gone. read more

Called them once, as in one phone call, inquiring about a Corolla, and received FOUR follow up phone calls and FIVE emails all in the span of 24 hours, harassing me into a decision. Decision on what? I didn't even say I wanted a Corolla....just asked about one to get a ballpark price range for a lease. Completely dishonest staff and worst experience ever. So I really wish I had checked Yelp before dealing with this completely dishonest dealership and their many staff. Used Edmunds to get a quote and Boch Toyota responded and we went back and forth over several days. We agree on car and price and the next day go to dealership to sign paperwork. This is where the fun begins. The woman we spoke with Elizabeth "Liz" the BDC Manager was not there for the appointment time. So we get handed over to another salesperson. Wait patiently for him to find the paperwork and car and then are told it is at another lot. We go with the guy but the car is not where it is supposed to be so now we are walking around beeping the remote trying to find it. It eventually is found in yet another lot but surprise it is the wrong color interior. Back at the sales desk we are told they can get the car but will have to order it and oh by the way the original sales person made a mistake on the quote an they cannot honor the price. So after wasting 3 hours we leave the dealership completely frustrated. I sent emails to the original salesperson Liz and the GM Tim McGilvray but receive no response. I did get an email from the BDC Teamleader, Danielle Werman who says she is Liz's manager but says "Sorry nothing we can do". Again I feel like I'm being lied to as when is a team leader over a manager but whatever just goes to show what a circus it is. I visited this dealership to purchase a 2012 Prius V. Salesperson was very good. The vehicle was sharp, clean, and drove well. Time came for the Sales Manager to intervene. He said, take my final offer or leave it. You walk out the door and forget about it! He was not even interested in negotiating despite our difference being only a few hundred $$$. I tried another Toyota dealership (nearby) and the whole process was more amicable, informative about true costs, and honest from start to finish. read more
