I brought my vehicle to Planet Subaru for a warranty repair, and after being told by Copeland Subaru in Hyannis that I had to replace my radio (head unit) with an after market brand at my cost. After learning on my own that this part was on an extended warranty as the result of a class action law suit, I brought the car into Planet. They confirmed the problem and the warranty. The parts was ordered and received in a few days. I scheduled an appointment and the repair was done in a few hours; they even gave me a loaner car at no cost. Everybody I dealt with was pleasant and professional. It was a great experience, especially knowing that this repair only cost me time. Recently purchased 2020 wrx sti through Barrett who was helpful and kept the sale straightforward and simple. Richard in the business department was friendly and was nice and clear through every step as I was financing with them which they did beat my rate. The reason this is a 3 star and almost a 2 honestly not to be dramatic, This car was marked down as sold by me with a down payment on a Saturday and I came back with my trade in the following Thursday to complete the transaction and actually had to sit and wait to give more time for them to detail and then apply the ceramic coating to the car after finalizing paperwork. Just for the car to come out looking no different almost like they sprayed the pressure washer once over before pulling it out. Interior was never given a once over and actually had a lighter on the seats from a technician which isnt a great look. Honestly not the biggest deal except for one thing that drives me up the wall. This car has NEON YELLOW calipers not only did they not even try to clean them I got the car with them completely black lol. Barrett sales was great aswell as Richard nothing really falls on them but whoever is back there servicing or specifically cleaning detailing a car getting sold needs to figure it out or go. My husband and I purchased a vehicle from Planet Subaru in Hanover with a clean Carfax provided by the dealership that explicitly stated the car had never been in an accident. We relied on this information when making our purchase. Years later, as we go to resell the vehicle, we learned that the car had actually been involved in a significant accident, which immediately affected its value and resale potential. This information was not disclosed to us at the time of sale and directly contradicted the Carfax we were shown. When we brought this to Planet Subaru's attention, we were told there was nothing they could do unless we purchased another vehicle from them. This is not a reasonable or acceptable resolution, especially given that this situation stems from inaccurate information provided during our original purchase. This experience has completely eroded my trust in this dealership. Ok so I had what started off as a horrible experience. Two separate employees were rude to me, and refused to make any reasonable accommodation for my disability. And this was after them demanding I bring my car in within less than 72 hours. Their lack of compassion was mind blowing. I literally begged them to work with me as I am disabled and can't drive, so getting my car there to get fixed is a hassle. I can't just do it any old time I want. When I went back to return them, the staff found the actual product I ordered still in the warehouse - and told me the box I was given was supposed to be thrown in the trash. Took my car here to be serviced after a windshield technician took my windshield off in a downpour. The car was drenched and we were told by Planet Subaru that the mats and rugs needed replacing and that the parts were back ordered. They had my car for a month and they left saturated rugs in the car for weeks during the summer and now the car smells like mildew. They were supposed to remove the dashboard to ensure that there wasn't any water damage and that the car was functioning properly The digital display is messed up and showing lines and it took 10 minutes for just inches of clear windshield after running my air conditioner and the front and rear defrosters yesterday in the rain. I had to use a paper towel to clear off my windshield. The service manager, Niki, will not return phone calls We were told to bring the car back in so they could evaluate it, which is what they should've done the first time. So no, we aren't bringing my car back to Planet Subaru. I was told by a friend who is in the industry that the entire car should have been gutted and repaired and that this is inexcusable. read more

I have purchased two Subarus from Planet Subaru. I bought a Subaru Forester back in 2017 following an accident in which a driver blew through a red light, t-boning my beloved Toyota Corolla and I into a concrete wall. After that frightening experience, finding a new car that had gold star safety rating and great reliability became increasingly important to me. At the time, I was fortunate to work with Rhonda Sommer. Rhonda was absolutely awesome to work with. She did not pressure or push me and worked with me patiently until I found the right car for me. Unfortunately, not six months later, my new Forester was totaled when another reckless (and inebriated) drive took a left turn directly into the side of my car. I had returned to Planet Subaru, but was in a rush to find something ASAP and ended up buying a Subaru Crosstrek elsewhere. Last summer, my recently paid off Crosstrek was obliterated due to circumstances outside of my control. I began the exhausting and painful task of car shopping yet again. I shopped around at a few spots and was met with sketchy car salespeople who were very pushy and inflexible. My partner reminded me of Planet Subaru and in a last ditch effort to just get a damn car I reached out. I was delighted to hear from Rhonda! Rhonda has moved to online car sales with Planet Subaru and was able to set up a meeting with another in person car salesperson, Amelia Tworek. Rhonda thought we would be a good fit and that Amelia would be able to help me find the right car. Let me tell you, Rhonda could have a side gig as a matchmaker. Aesthetically pleasing orange stitching on the steering wheel and seats, Apple CarPlay, additional safety features my previous Crosstrek had no had. Obnoxious in color, very hard to miss, who could possibly drive into me with this flashing color in their face (*knocks on wood, forever and always*)!? The entire process was painless, smooth, and there was never any pressure or persistence that I better jump and commit right away. On top of it all, when Amelia asked if there was anything else she could do, I joked that she could bring in a rabbi, priest, pastor, all men/women/people of any religious denomination she could possibly think of to cleanse the car of any possible "bad vibes" or negative energy. Amelia did one better and with the help of another car sales rep saged the new-to-me car and placed two crystals (black tourmaline and clear quartz) in the car to revoke any negative energy and bring in the good. I'm not a crystal or new age person by any means, but the photos she texted me made me laugh during a stressful time and it meant a lot that Amelia and the Planet Subaru team went out of their way to actually fulfill my silly request. I couldn't recommend this dealership enough. You don't often come across relaxed and empathetic people let alone car salespeople. Total Negligence on 2 different occasions using their "passport program" 1st time- they failed to bolt down the passenger seat after an airbag sensor recall. We drove around for months with a seat not bolted to the floorboards! 2nd- routine oil/tire rotation and a day later my husband commuting on 128 has to pull off the road, turns out lug nuts were not tightened and tire would have come off ON THE HIGHWAY. Both incidents found and confirmed by long standing local garage. Planets response? "Sorry you felt inconvenienced". Could have killed us TWICE. Go somewhere safer for service. They just want to pump "10,000" a yr though their shop and not taking precautions. Maybe when we tried to trade in the car to get another and they handed us a legal release at the signing with no notice, it shows they have more to hide. read more

I bought it anyway as they said it was fine now and I bought the insurance up to 100,000 miles so I felt safe. All kind of things went wrong with the car once it reached 100,000. I tried to turn it in and found out it was a salvage car. Total wreck in an accident and they never revealed that to me. They are not honest, be very careful of them. Recently assisted my friend with buying a new car from this dealership. I have never had a Subaru or been to one their dealerships but i just know the company makes sturdy cars. First thing about this dealership i fell in love with was that they have dogs inside! :-) Normally i have my guard up because as a woman going into a "mans world" i get talked down to like i don't know anything or tried to be taken advantage of on price. After my first interaction with our salesman Joe i felt very comfortable and welcomed. He helped us look at a few different options in the price range we needed instead of showing us a car we liked for more money. He did a great job explaining the differences in the Foresters on the lot and gave us some great advice between the 3. Never once did we feel pressured to pick a certain car or to hurry along. Because this dealership is a no haggle dealer we never had to go back and forth about prices which ive had to do at the other dealers about 6 times before they would give me the price i needed. The finance person, i don't remember his name unfortunately, was extremely real and again did not pressure my friend into getting anything she didn't want or need. The only hiccup was when the car was supposed to be picked up they didn't put a sticker on it so my friend had to go back to the dealership which was kind of annoying but once again Joe the salesman was on top of it and was just as irritated as my friend was. I have to give them two grades. One for the Sales Department, and the other for the Service Department. The Sales Department when I bought my car here was really easy to deal with. The sales guy did not pressure me into buying my Subaru like other dealerships I have heard about. He was cool and nice. Even though I did my research on the Subaru brand and the car I wanted for years, he was able to answer most of my questions correctly and honestly. I did catch him fudging some answers a few times. I think I'll give the Sales Department an A-. Only reason I don't give them an A+ is because of a few of the answers he gave me. Also, another reason is, I bought my car in the winter time and I always feel uncomfortable when people would just start the car up and put it in drive right away. He didn't even let the engine oil circulate a few times before putting it in drive - especially in the winter time when oil is a little bit more thick at start-up because of the cold temperature. Other than these two things; overall, it was above average. The Service Department is the reason why I gave this place one star. I'm not sure if this is normal, but when I bought my car, there were all these micro circular swirl marks all over the car's paint job. I noticed this the day after picking up my brand new Subaru from here. Car only had 30 miles and bought it brand new btw. It looks like the Service Department took an old, hardened rag and wipe down my car with it. Tbh, I'm not sure if this is the Service Department's fault or if it is the fault of Subaru where it was assembled. I'm leaning towards the Service Department because they have to service my car and clean it up before we can drive it off. The other reason for the one star is when I took my car in for the first service and inspection, they scratched my car. The scratch is about 2-3 inches long. It looks like someone leaned against the car and the keys attached to their waist rubbed up against my paint job causing the scratch. I like to believe it's an accident. I'm kind of leaning towards that explanation. I accidentally left my rear seats down and had stuff in the rear, they had to get out all the stuff and organized it to do the rear-seat belt inspection. I think out of frustration they may have been a little bit careless, and that caused the scratch. On my behalf, leaving my rear a little messy was my fault. It was my first car inspection. If I knew they were going to check the rear seats, I would've definitely organized my car to make it more easy for them to inspect. I'm not one to make things difficult for people, I'm actually the opposite, but I do make honest mistakes from time to time, and leaving my car a little messy was a honest mistake. Overall, I think the Sales Department is good. The Service Department needs improvement. I'm always hesitant now to bring my car in to these guys. Some people take pride in how their cars look, and Planet Subaru needs to address these issues. read more

They mis-represent what a lemon/buyback really means. I have read their webpage FAQ on it and the legal disclosure required by law. They make you believe there is no major hit on market value, but that is a complete lie. They pretend to give you a great deal, which is a joke. Here is there own words: "about $2,000 less than a comparable used car." That's supposed to be significant savings for a lemon? They are also dishonest about warranty coverage: "You get all the same warranties that would apply to a Subaru that had not been repurchased." The car is only covered by the manufacture warranty for 12 months. The clue to the "real value" of these cars is this: "these cars are perfect for people who" "drive their cars into the ground." Yea, because they are worth NOTHING. You would even have a hard time finding someone on craigslist to buy a "lemon branded/titled car." I told him i was looking at their 2010 used foresters, i had done my research and this is what i wanted, well, thats about what i wanted and around the price i wanted to pay. we sat at his desk and we went through the standard spiel about this, that, your mother (just checking if your even reading this) i told him off the bat, this is what i saw and this is what i wanted to look at. they by the way didnt have a single new forester on the lot, this was 3 weeks ago btw. we headed out to look at the fleet of 3 used foresters and i decided on the one i wanted. we drove it, small talk etc. after i was done, the games began. look salesguy, i want this car, but i want a deal, ok, no deal. really? you arent into giving me a deal at all? nope. ok, let me speak to this supposed in charge guy. i should have just walked then too. so corey, the ass gm walks in, this is when i figured that whole referral and 40 mile drive was going to pay off. umm, no dice. nothing, no movement. in fact, i have yet to find a more condescending sales jerk in a looooong time, and ive been looking for a new car for a few years now. everything i said he pulled out the big book of overcoming objections and thats just what he said, standard, no passion in it at all. at least pretend the buyer is an important part of the sales business. nope, just him and his large teeth letting me know that his product was heroin, i was going to pay whatever it took to get it and thats the way it was going to be. ooh i loved this part. at the table i told them both i wanted a cheaper price, and the sales guy attempted to get me to account my trade as a liability instead of an asset to lower the price and thats when i realized i was driving the jetta back home at least one more time. its really too bad there arent like 19 subaru dealerships in the area and this was my only choice. /sarcasm read more

I love this place, as much as one can love a car dealership. When I went in to test drive some cars, I felt no pressure whatsoever from our salesman, Derek. He was personable and fun and friendly, and extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I like hanging out his dog, Milo, as well as the other dogs there whenever I go in for service or an oil change. Service is always courteous and quick. I love the complimentary car wash and vacuum they do anytime you want as well! read more
