I started taking my dog here a year or so ago when I Relocated from north. I've had some weird growths on my doggie and every time I send pictures I get a call back same day from the office. I started taking my 3 pups here 7 years ago The original Vet Dr Nucci was Great, prices were reasonable . The new owners have rotating vets so they dont get to know your animal and the prices have gone through the roof! sorry to say I am taking my pups to another vet clinic. read more

How sad that a once caring facility has been taken over by greedy investors, tarnishing the name of the original owner. I have take all my furry friends there for over forty years and have now been shuffled off to another veterinary in the area. I called to make an appointment last year and was told they didn't have any openings at the time. Sent me to another clinic, but did not explain that they were transferring my pets records to this other place. When I got the bill from the new place, I found a charge for transferring the records from Nucci. I did not ask to transfer, just wanted help more quickly. If I had known there would be an additional charge for records I would have just gone to any vet in the area and been a new client. Sorry Rudy, you got screwed over. read more

Nucci Veterinary clinic is a hollow shell of what it once was. Overall, the people are nice, but the veterinarians don't seem to be on top of their game. Also, I don't care for the corporate system of veterinary where you get a different veterinarian every visit. The quality of the pet's care is compromised that way. My dog died 6 days after their treatment. read more

We adpoted a 6 month old kitten less than a week ago, after being home a few days we noticed him sneezing and had eye boogers. :( After looking around online my Husband found Nucci, we called and were able to get an appointment that same day. The staff was so very nice, and when my Husband walked in with our kitten, they took him right into a room just to err on the side of caution if our cat had something contageous. After a through exam our kitten George had a diagnosis (Upper Respiatory Infection) and some meds. The price was great, and we can walk-in any time to buy Frontline (you can buy it at the pet store or big box stores, but you don't really know if it is being stored properly.). I am glad we found a Vet that took care of our little George with such care and compassion, that just happens to be so close to home! read more

I have only taken my pets to Nucci for the past 20 years. i actually adopted my beloved cat from this clinic 19 years ago. When my cat began having seizures this morning, I immediately called the clinic to make an emergency appointment for him to be seen. I was told that it was an emergency situation, but: "There are no available appointments for the next two weeks". Are you kidding me??? What exactly is the purpose of an EMERGENCY then? There is no way that anyone can 'plan' for an emergency situation! They then referred me to another clinic located an hour and a half away. I am absolutely disgusted with the Nucci clinic and I will NEVER EVER take any other pet here in the future. read more

Started out as a decent Vet. But they could not tell me what was wrong with my dog after numerous visits and money on top of money playing their guessing game. Then to top it all off shared my dogs information with an outside entity without my consent. I would never go back to this place again. Believe me if they can not find out what is wrong with your dog on the first visit being they have the capabilities to check blood urine and feces then don't go back there like I did. I've been taking my dogs to Nucci Veterinary Clinic since 2000. The vets are very knowledgeable and always treat my 3-year-old Bichon, Flapjack, kindly. Flapjack is an extremely active and wiggly little guy who needs a low-key type of person to examine him. He gets that from Dr. Surma and Dr. Nucci. I can't imagine taking him anywhere else. NOPE! We've been taking our pets to Nucci for decades, but it seems that if we aren't bringing in a pet that would cost us a fortune to pay for, they turn us away. My dog is almost 11 (old for his breed), and has been sick and was injured today, but after decades of loyalty, they've turned me away twice this week. I'm very disappointed in this vet. It used to be great when Nucci was the doctor we would see, but I think they've gotten too big for their britches. read more

I just wanted to update my review. Its 8 years later, and Nucci is still my vet. Over the weekend, my dog was boarded (not at nucci!!!) When he came home, he could not get up from a sitting position. Something was off. I called first thing on Monday. (Er vet said not to bother going there and waiting for my own vet.) They remembered I had been in recently. They listened, put me on hold and basically said come in now. There will be a wait but we'll squeeze you in. Just get him here. I love the peeps here. read more

Somewhat disappointed. We have been coming to Nucci sine we got our rescue two years ago. Thursday he had a torn dew claw nail which they insisted he needed to be seen for right away but "we can't fit him in". I don't think that's how you treat clients. We recently decided to leave Nucci after taking our pets there for almost 25 years. They were excellent in the past and we really like Nucci himself. Unfortunately, they now have bad customer service for both human and pet clients. They also referred our seriously ill/dying pet to the worst veterinarian ever which was described as the best option (24/7 care with medical treatment). We regret not taking care of him ourselves because they did not give him medication and were seriously disorganized to the point where we think he was ignored until we called or came in (maybe Nucci received a referral payment from them?). We now have a new pet and Nucci's estimated sterilization fee was $700 in 2018. We went elsewhere for his sterilization and paid $150 in 2018. When we take our pets to Nucci, the negative attitude from employees is just too mean for us to ever go there again. We made an appointment for our pet to be a new client for 2019 at another veterinarian because there has to be a better environment for our pet (and us)! read more

The staff at Nucci are friendly and compassionate. They fully understand that your pet is family and they treat them as such. We've taken our dogs here for several years. A few months ago our older dog had a medical emergency and the staff told us to bring her in right away. Despite the fact that they were busy at the time they began treating her quickly. Sadly, the prognosis wasn't good and the staff professionally and compassionately told us there was nothing more to be done. It was a difficult moment for our family and I believe the staff at Nucci provided a sense of comfort by how they handled it. We can always get our pets in for appointments, even if on short notice. read more

I took my Little Mimi (Miriam) to see Dr. Kala yesterday for a problem she was having with her back leg. Dr. Kala diagnosed the problem and prescribed some medicine for her. While we were there, Danielle, the vet tech (I believe that was her name), took Mimi back so they could trim her nails and "apparently," my little Mimi took a liking to Danielle because while she was holding her so the other tech could do Mimi's nails, Mimi "licked" Danielle's arm and that is so amazing!!! See, Mimi was a rescue from Los Angeles and does NOT like very many people---including my daughter and daughter-in-law so for her to show affection to a stranger---well, I think that says something for the care the animals receive at Nucci Veterinary Clinic. EXCELLENT!!! I hate going to the groomers as much as my dog but, shes my world and i NEED/WANT to take care of her! They take care of you and your pet! Mainly your pet though! Get you in early when they can, on time for sure! Explains everything to you so you can try and understand. Give you best options before the pet needs surgery. Tries diff meds to help with cost but effective. Seem to always have what i need IN stock so i can pick it up in 24 hours max. They even CALL YOU to see how your dog is doing! That to me is the best! That way if its something simple they can help you on the phone. If you have to call them even if its a question they call you back! Most of the time when i call its a human, sometimes its automated but very quick and easy to get to a human! LOVE these guys! read more

Putting a pet down is hard. Nucci veterinary - Dr Khalifal and staff -were compassionate to myself and my terminally ill elderly cat. I would highly reccomend this vet clinic. The staff made sure that I had the extra time to understand the diagnosis and say my goodbyes. They were very busy that day but you would never know it based on how I was treated. Their prices are fair and reasonable. They gave me the sad news and didn't try to sell me extra tests. It's not a good day but Nucci vet made it easier. If /when we do get another pet. I thought they were very professional and friendly! The place was very clean and they had quite a lot of business when I was there which leads me to speculate that they were well received by others who bring their animals there. I also was recommended by a friend to go there because I was kinda agitated with my current vet always leaving me feeling hustled and walking out with service I didn't come there for and a huge bill. These guys didn't make me feel pressured at all, they make recommendations and let you decide for yourself what you would like to do. My bill wasn't overwhelming at all upon exiting the place. I've taken my dog there several times, and every time I go I leave frustrated, confused and poor. They do not care about my dog and I doubt they will care about yours. When I moved to this area one of the first things I looked for was a great place to take my girls, at the time I had two cats. I stopped and went into the waiting area and asked a lady with a dog how she like this doctor, she eagerly responded that they love the doctor and that they had been bringing their pets there for years. That was all I needed to hear! I have been taking my girls there now for 4 years and have always felt respected for both myself and my cats..I have 3 now. They have been getting all their immunizations there since that day. I can't say the girls are thrilled, they don't like the carriers, but they seem relaxed when the Doctor and assistant check them out. The Docs are always gentle and that makes me happy. I highly recommend the doctors and staff! read more

I've been taking my cats here for the past 8 years and it's always been a pleasant experience. Everyone is warm and caring, I've even gotten follow up calls to check on how my cat is feeling after coming in for an operation or check up. The staff at Nucci are all great. They are very caring and compassionate.. Last night we had to get Charlie in very late as he was having having a medical emergency. Sadly we had to put him down. You will NEVER find a more compassionate doctor for you pet's than Dr. Kala. I first went to her to have my dog of 15 years put down and whe made it so peaceful and loving for an otherwise hurtful event. I decided if I ever got another pet I would leave my old clinic and come to her. I have and am very pleased that she shows such care when treating my two new pets.
