This organization is hands down one of THE BEST places around and we are SO fortunate for its existence. I have been to this location for low cost vaccines, and spaying for my personal cat which the staff and care was phenomenal. I have also utilized their TNR program for a feral cat who birthed my new kitten which was also quick, efficient and a great experience. I've received guidance from their staff on help with a feral cat colony in my area regarding cats that need medical treatment. Overall, they are honestly the most caring and devoted people I've ever met. They show SO MUCH compassion and love towards animals and those that are trying to help animals. Our usual vet had their doc retire, based on a recommendation from Animal Welfare Society (we got a new kitten there), we used them for our shots for our new kitten and booter for the older cat, and the new kitten's spay. So two visits, one overnight stay. Located on a very industrial side street near the Mound Road Plant. Large facility, very well organized. Clean. Professional. Bright. From the pet owner side everything went great, and the kitten is healthy and the incision is minimal. Fees are also very reasonable. They discount for including spay. Walked in to a filthy dankly lit hall way that smells like wild cats and dog poop. My appointment was at 8 and seems so was everyone elses's. A group if people sitting at desks seemed so unhappy that you were bothering them. The workers wearing coats and lost in their own conversations could really care less about you. Took our senior foster dog in for a dual surgery and he has not returned to his pre-surgery baseline. While they did do a great job of cleaning up his teeth (no thanks to a prior lifetime of neglect), they INSISTED on performing a simultaneous neuter ... on an elderly emaciated dog with an unknown health history even though both we as fosters and the manager of the animal shelter advocated for otherwise. One private pay vet (who we could not afford) told us explicitly that they NEVER perform a neuter simultaneously with a dental because a dental is considered a 'dirty surgery'. Well, All About Animals (AAA) wasn't fazed by that and now we know why--the Urgent Care we had to visit in the wake of the dual surgery (twice) due to very concerning symptoms told us that AAA is primarily a spay and neuter organization and that their funding is based on the number of spays/neuters that they perform. So it appears All About Animals is actually All About The Stats. We are now 3 weeks post-surgery and our sweet sweet foster has experienced neuro symptoms, bloody diarrhea, vomiting and most recently was diagnosed with trachael collapse; while he had some very minor coughing symptons pre-surgery, those symptoms have increased by a factor of 4-5 and he is essentially a different dog than he was pre-surgery--he's VERY listless. We believe that he may have been improperly intubated and/or that his trachea/airway was damaged during the surgery. Also, AAA took it upon themselves to trim his nails when they were already properly trimmed and cut at least one below the quick. We will NEVER take another animal to AAA. read more

This is the largest non-emergency, non-profit veterinary care in the United States. Yes, it is very busy, but worth the wait. Their mission is to service many animals with basic yearly vaccinations and monthly preventatives as well as what typically is an expensive procedure of spaying/neutering. Often there may be a six month waiting period for this service. They do work with feral cats for TNR. Some say they are too rushed, but they are after all trying their best to keep costs down to a manageable amount. Kroger has a community give back program for nonprofits. I donate to them. read more

Took my dog in today for her to get her shots updated. Chase was the tech that worked with us and let me tell you he was AMAZING! He was very gentle towards Sadie even though she is a very loving dog. He was also very knowledgeable with the questions we had for him. After her exam we waited for her heartworm test to come back and then checked out. I would say $150 for an exam and multiple shots is a great deal considering other places I've been have been a lot higher. I definitely recommend bringing your pet here if you're looking for a cheaper but loving and caring place for your pet to be seen! read more

My daughter's dog had Pyrometa. She was very sick and needed surgery. MSU veterinary hospital was going to be 5,000.00 our local vet over 2k . I was referred to All about Animals Rescue By receptionist at MSU. They put me in first thing the very next morning. I drove 21/2 hours and I knew my daughter's beloved dog might not make it. They did AMAZING job. She has fully recovered. It was 420.00 affordable. We did take her to our local vet the very next day for follow up as our dog was very dehydrated and needed additional care. I took my cat here to be neutered a week ago. He has never been ill in the six months that we have had him, even when we rescued him from a car engine! Since I picked him up, he has been terribly sick. He has been to his vet three times. He needed fluids, antibiotic, nausea meds........he still isn't eating much and he's drinking less. He is horribly dehydrated. He was at my vet just prior to the surgery and he was fine. They weighted him at 7 pounds. AAA said he weighed 9 pounds. When he went back to his vet right after, he said 7 pounds. I think they misweighed him and gave him too much anesthesia. When I contacted All About Animals, they said to bring him back. Honestly? I recently took my 13 y/o terrier mix here for a dental cleaning. Shelby brought her out after and was so comforting and nice, stating she had worked on her teeth. I could tell that they care about the animals. Another vet I got an estimate from wanted over 3x the amount that AAAR charged me. The only aggravation was that they say to show up at 8 a.m. to do paperwork and drop off but people clearly get there at 7:30, as there was a line. There are a lot of people that go there, the parking lot was very busy. Go early. The cleaning they did was good and they did extractions if they were necessary. I would go there again. read more

We thought this would end up being great getting out TNR cat neutered here and they cut off half his ear... not just the tip as the told us they would. They also told us our cat had to stay overnight after getting neutered which is fine but they made him sit in his own feces for 2 days so I really don't understand what keeping him there was doing besides possibly infecting the wound and traumatizing the cat. Also they thought that my boy cat was a girl and tried to take his uterus out so he now had a slice down his stomach now. 1.) my father took a rescue and release in and the cat was DEAD when he came back to pick it up. 2.) A group member from my Facebook rescue group picked up her rescue release and it was the WRONG CAT. All About Animals swapped the cat and claimed there were no other feral appointments that day. Great so you swapped with someone's pet?? Ferals live in colonies and know THEIR neighborhood and THEIR family. They can't just be thrown back onto the street. 3.) I called AAA CRYING after miraculously quickly catching one of two sibling kittens when the sibling was found SQUASHED FLAT in the street just before and warned I was headed in and would be less than 10 minutes late for their walk-in window. I was told too bad so sad they had multiple employees call in that day. Another local vet fit me in SAME DAY no problems with extreme sympathy. 4.) A rescue was recently brought in by my coworkers rescue and they literally cut half of his ear off. NOT A TIP. HALF OF THIS CATS EAR IS MISSING. What a completely disgusting and outdated sick ritual regardless. 5.) A specific employee of AAA is one of the most miserable people I have ever met as a patron of mine for multiple years. Nasty attitude NO PEOPLE SKILLS. Speaks on behalf of the establishment with absolutely no sympathy and HATES THE JOB. Is constantly interviewing for alternative employment. Is All About Animals the problem or is it the employees you hire? Are these the standards that are set or are your employees taking their frustrations out on innocent animals? Has everyone there just completely given up? They DO NOT need to work there. WORK ELSEWHERE or find a different career. Absolutely ridiculous. I need to share my experience to prevent this from happening to anyone else! (All About Animals Clinic) I took my babygirl Dash to her appt which was (Feb 14th 2024) I scheduled that appt the year prior. I dropped her off on Wednesday morning to be spayed. At the end of the day on Wednesday when I hadn't heard anything and tried several times to get in touch with someone via phone, email and text, they ignored them all. At the end of the day I finally got a message telling me they didn't get her in on Wednesday and it would be Thursday morning and she would have to spend another day away from home and I wouldn't get my baby back until Friday. I emailed and asked how she was and if they could send a picture and was told as soon as they could they would send one. The next email I got said they don't send pictures! So the next morning I texted, called and emailed to check on her again and no answer all day! My gut told me to go up there and I wish I had just gone up there and taken her home! Friday finally came and it was time to pick up Dash and when we got there and they handed us her carrier I thought that this cats eyes were yellow instead of green like Dash. When we get home we let the cat out and it's not even our cat! We went back up to All About Animals, which they apparently are NOT, and they had given our cat to a RESCUE! It took hours for them to find her. We barely got an apology let alone an explanation that even makes sense! Do Not take your pets here. I dont want anyone going through what I went through. It was horrible and it was the most traumatizing thing I've ever gone through. I would never trust this place with my pets ever again. I should have gone with my gut and not have brought her to All About Animals Clinic in the first place! (Would rate 0 stars if I could) read more

Brought my 3 month old rescue kitten here to get a routine checkup. She was found outside and I had no idea about her history or the state of her health. She was malnourished. The vet hardly gave me any info and didn't seem to be very thorough, didn't seem to care or gave me much advice on making sure she got the nutrients she needed as a stray malnourished cat. My kitten was very docile and sweet, however the vet was very rough with her. The whole place stunk of bleach so bad it burned my eyes so I can only imagine how the animals felt. Do not recommend and only gave 2 stars because of affordability. read more

I took my two 11 Weeks old kittens here to be fixed and have their first shots administered as well as tested for FIV/FELV. They did a great job with the surgery, however and a BIG HOWEVER, my one kitty got infected with Panleukopenia under the care of All About Animals Rescue, he developed symptoms 4 days after the surgery. I am still waiting to see if his sister has it too, she has no symptoms as of yet. I am not to hopeful that she will remain that way:( Moral of the story: if you have any business thanking your pets there please vaccinate them fully first. Again, I think that they do a great job and they are fairly inexpensive, however my little babies now have a deadly virus. I am confident he got infected there, my cats have not been anywhere but inside my house and had no exposure to any virus in my house. I used their transport service to have my cat taken to the Warren office to be spayed. It was a very odd set up. The office is TINY with 2 people at the desk trying to take car of everybody. They do check in at 7:00 am, so there were probably 20 people & animals crammed into the area, with no real way of knowing who was there first. It seemed like controlled chaos. But, the young women at the desk were very friendly and efficient. At the time you're there, you can request other offered services. I asked that they microchip my cat, so they added that. When I came to pick up my cat the next day, I learned that she'd already been spayed! That being the case, I have no idea why the vet I'd previously taken her to gave me all the information about spaying her (at about 5 times the price of this rescue.) They said they couldn't refund any of my money because they had to sedate her and "go in there" before they realized the situation. I'm glad it as only $40. I wasn't really comfortable with the assembly-line feel of the place and that my kitty was just one of a herd, but if you need low-cost sterilization, this is not a bad place to go. read more
