The staff were very friendly and helpful, and there were a couple of special offers available during my visit, which was a nice bonus. They even have a small fitting area, which is incredibly convenient since most thrift stores and Goodwills don't offer that option. Because of this, all sales are final and they don't accept returns, which makes sense. Parking was easy when I visited. Street parking was free at the time, though there are meters around, so I believe it depends on the day and time you go.

As a cozy neighborhood bookstore, what sets it apart is definitely the people (amazing, welcoming, and knowledgeable staff) and the overall vibe. The layout is awesome. Easy to find what you are looking for and a fabulous selection. The children section is impressive in particular and they do at least weekly children book readings. They have both new and lightly used books (indicated by star sticker on spine); definitely try the lightly used as they can be a great value. Lastly, you must find the resident feline (cat) that is always at the store (particularly fun when you're there with kids). Very privileged to have this bookstore in our community.

I'm big on shopping local, so when I saw it was available here, I immediately placed a pickup order. They offered beautiful gift wrapping, with sustainable, eco-friendly packaging, which made the whole experience feel extra thoughtful and special. When I went in to pick it up, I ended up finding Go Tell It on the Mountain by James Baldwin, with an introduction by Roxane Gay, who I absolutely love, so of course I had to grab that too. The ambiance of the store is something else. It feels peaceful, energetic, and inspiring all at once. The music selection really sets the tone, and the staff are genuinely warm and welcoming. I'm a huge believer in shopping local. Every purchase is a small act of resistance against mass consumerism and extractive capitalism. If you have the option, choose local. There was a line when I got there and we had to wait to be let in. I was both confused and surprised by that but learned why once I got inside. I was there on a day there happened to be a book signing and meet and greet with author Nedra Glover Tawwab for her newest book, The Balancing Act! That was really cool to witness. I was here on a Saturday afternoon and it was busy! The space is beautiful! I love the art and the colors and the way it's all organized. Staff were incredibly kind and helpful. There were so many books to choose from but I ultimately landed on a title I've been eyeing for a few years: My Sister, The Serial Killer. Really excited to read this book and can't wait to come back!

They didn't say hello or ask if I needed help--just sat there reading a book in silence. But when an older white lady walked in, they suddenly said hi. I thought I was imagining it the first time, but the exact same thing happened on my second visit. I also bought a plant during my first trip. Everything feels a bit overpriced too. I was trying to support a small Asian-owned store, but I guess I shouldn't bother. Some people just want to be stuck up. I probably won't go back. Good luck to them.
