The pupusas that came with the platter were "revueltas" (a mix of beans, cheese, and pork), so I had to order the pupusa de queso con loroco. This is the national food of El Salvador, so I had to try it. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint! The taste was pretty authentic. Of course nothing will compare to eating a pupusa in El Salvador, but this was pretty close! For dessert we had the Empanadas de plátano. What a great way to end our meal! Typically eaten with a cafecito. The milk cream inside was sweet and warm. Delicious! I also saw an abuelita working the kitchen, so that tells you all you need to know about the food. The presentation was basic but I liked the separate shot of espresso on the side of the pre-poured non-logo styro cup. The espresso tasted great with a heavy roasty aroma. The gender assigned ADA compliant bathroom was clean with split white and olive painted walls and brown ceramic tile floors.
