Outstanding food and a great atmosphere. Everything from the appetizers to the main course was perfect. Looking forward to coming back soon.

Stopped by Atlakat and ordered the Super Antojitos Atlakat, a loaded plate with carne asada, refried beans, chicharrones, tostones, yuca, and cheese. Every bite was packed with bold, comforting flavors and felt like a true taste of home cooking. The fried pork belly was crispy and flavorful, the plantains were just the right amount of sweet, and the yuca was perfectly cooked. This dish is definitely meant to be shared or enjoyed if you're really hungry. I've also ordered Pupusas here in the past and they are delicious! Giving it four stars because while the food was excellent, the service this time around didn't feel as warm or welcoming as usual. Hoping it was just an off day because the food alone is definitely worth a visit.

    Sopa de res and papusa

10/10!!! I love this restaurant !! I usually get the Sopa de res, it is so flavorful! Comes with rice and tortilla. I love it with extra lime. The rice is so good, it is packed with flavor. The tortillas are homemade. My only wish is that they would give more meat with the Sopa. I notice I only get one or two pieces when I get it to go. I alwayssss get papusas with my meal. Usually get chicharrón con queso. The curtido is homemade and delicious. I always ask for extra. Also the salsa roja is great too and I usually take some to go with my leftovers. I can only say positive things about this restaurant. It's authentic and feels homey.

This is such a hole in the wall, but it's such a great spot. The service was really quick and helpful. The restaurant itself was very clean and organized. Overall, the food was phenomenal. They give you a really good portion size with a variety of foods too. Loved the cafe con leche and pollo. Great spot and highly recommend and the prices were very reasonable. It was nice to see other guests come in and be able to just talk directly to the servers as though they knew them for a long time.

Receipt showing the order was placed before 4pm but they aren't giving us lunch special prices.

So this review saddens me because this has been a place I've been to many times lately and each time the service has been beyond five stars -- except this time. We had a server name Yary and we, a party of five, came before lunch time which ends at 4pm. We ordered food and drinks and they came out LATE. It took over 20 minutes to even see appetizers. Her attention and attitude was the worst (whether she had a bad day prior we don't know but regardless would not smile or be kind). Fast forward to payment: We have a receipt with the time and prices, when we called her out on the lunch special price not being added; she began to argue and lie. She lied so much that she got caught in them but didn't care. We then requested a manager and apparently the manager said they wouldn't be willing to help us. Not to mention if you come in a party of 5 or more - tip is automatically added so she also just wanted her tip money to be bigger. IF YOU COME IN A BIG PARTY, PLEASE CHECK FIRST. AND NEVER GET THIS SERVER. It was about principal, not price. Worst experience ever - they need to fire her before she drives other customers out.

Did I tell you I love pupusas!! Just found this place and decided to check it out. I go to another Salvadorian restaurant but this place is just as good! Quick fast and friendly service! All the best Salvadorian dishes from breakfast to everything in between. Of course I got 2 Pupusas Chicharron and queso. Super tasty and delicious! I will definitely be back for the seafood soup! Cool murals of El Salvador.

Hole in the wall spot serving traditional Salvadoran food. I believe ownership is different from that one in Miami. Staff speak mostly Spanish, and I was just welcomed and understood just fine as an English-speaking person. The mariscaso in red salsa came out steaming hot and was cooked perfectly with shrimp, crab, calamari, and more. I also tried the breaded chicken with rice and beans. The chicken was a bit bland on its own, but with a squeeze of lime and paired with rice and beans, it hit the spot. I also learned a quesadilla is a dessert that is similar to a cornbread cake but thinner and speckled with sesame seeds. I loved my experience trying this cuisine for the first time!

This was in a small shopping center and easy to miss if you don't pay attention. The room had nice decor showing things all about El Salvador. I was here around 10 am, so it wasn't too busy. I was greeted by Manuel, who I'm assuming must be the owner and manager. Their lunch specials got my attention which start at 9am, but I wanted something light. I opted for their savory appetizer. I enjoyed my cheesy pupusa with the pickled slaw which was plenty. Of course, I got myself their espresso. They didn't ask if I wanted sugar -- you have to let them know if you want some. I also had to ask for some water. I'll definitely come back here for my next comfort food which is the soup!

After my recent trip to El Salvador I decided to try this spot to see if their pupusas and tamales were authentic. I ordered a pupusa con queso and a tamales de gallina. Ordering was easy and quick. The staff were nice and efficient. I enjoyed both of my food items. I am curious what time of cheese they used in the pupusa, tasted different. It's my first time trying the Salvadoran tamales and it was good. Not sure what the white sauce is that it came with. I definitely plan on trying them out for more food options. Seems like a solid place.

Found this gem by chance. Nice, clean place with super nice servers. Had a feast! Ordered pupusas! bean & cheese, & revueltas; tostones, tamal de elote. Came with delicious side pickled cabbage. To drink, I had the jugo de maracuya. Wow. Super delicious food. Fantastic prices!!

    Super Platter of everything

Food, very large portions. Good tasting and value. Our only negative was the Salad, Soup and Entrees all came out at the exact same time. By the time I got through some of the salad and soup the entree was cold. Our waitress (very nice) didn't speak English. We communicated as best we could. Just never had a restaurant serve everything at once. And at 3pm it was packed and very noisy. If we went again, we'd have to figure out how to ask them to slow down the courses. Food and prices were great.

Came for breakfast around 8:30am It was not packed and the service was prompt. We had two coffees with milk it was excellent. The place is casual and looked like they had a lot of regulars. I had the steak with eggs, it came with a corn tortilla, cheese, fried plantains, peas, and scrambled eggs. It was excellent. I could not eat it all. It was a drive from Hollywood hills but I would definitely return here as the quality and value were outstanding.

This restaurant is on my monthly breakfast rotation and have been coming regularly since my last post. Service is always fast and reliable. Inside they play soft music and the café noises blend in. It's still a very affordable and delicious place to pop in.

How can something this simple hit this hard?…read more At Pupusa Time, I'm genuinely at a loss for words--and that doesn't happen often. The space? No frills. The menu? Straightforward. But the food? Completely out of this world. Let's talk pupusas. At their core, it's just a corn tortilla stuffed with cheese. That's it. And yet somehow, it delivers more satisfaction than dishes ten times as complicated. Yes, they offer the classics--beans, chicharrón, the revuelta--but don't overthink it. The roasted garlic (ajo asado) pupusa is the move. Full stop. My first visit lined up with the Artemis mission, and honestly, that feels appropriate. The cheese pull stretches like it's trying to reach the moon, and I'm not convinced that cheese was made on this planet. It's rich, perfectly melted, and borderline absurd in the best way. And then there's the curtido--that bright, tangy slaw that cuts through everything with just enough funk and crunch to keep you grounded... or maybe not. Because paired with that pupusa, you're floating. There are very few handheld foods on Earth that can compete with this. Make the trip. Order the roasted garlic. Thank me when you land back on Earth.

Finally went today!! What have I been missing all these years. Taco Tuesday $3 tacos if you want shrimp or fish $4. Margaritas - looked like a fish bowl $5 ! Delicious !!! Brissa our waitress was wonderful very attentive, friendly & welcoming. There was an older gentlemen - I didn't get his name. He was extremely nice, kept coming by to see if all was okay & collected our empty margarita glasses. We ordered the carnitas, chorizo & steak tacos. 6 in total & filling. All delicious especially that they make their own tortillas! Now let's discuss the salsa. Can you make the salsa bowls slightly bigger. Or less chips because the salsa finishes & you have plenty of chips leftover. I didn't want to keep paying for salsa just to finish the chips. I will definitely be visiting again and bringing some friends!

Instead of the usual cheese stuffed poblano pepper I opted for steak + cheese, which also had some veggies in it. Very tasty. El G is a charming place and the servers are nice and efficient.
