Excited this place opened up in the Topanga Social! The owners were extremely inviting and kind, gave our group a breakdown of their menu and how all their sauces are made in house. Tried their combo that has two sliders and 4 nuggets. I didn't set any expectations and was surprised with the quality! Their chicken was soooo fresh and piping hot, seemed to be all white meat too. I opted for their buffalo and jalapeño hot honey. Both sauces were amazing and quite possibly the best and most balanced buffalo sauce I've ever tried. Tried the ranch my friend got and it was delicious too! I'm sure all their sauces are amazing. While the nuggets are seasoned, it's moreover on the plain side which is good since their sauces are amazing and add so much flavor. Their nuggets are pretty chunky too which was fun surprise. The wings and fries are delicious and you'll get them piping hot, but their sauces bring it home. Close to 10 diff sauces to choose from. He saw we were first time customers and gave us like 6 sauces to try, no extra charge. And we wiped clean all of them. The parking lot can be tight. Didn't look around for street parking. If you are a Chick-fil-A fan... Then you'll love this place. Their nuggets are like the Chick-fil-A's nuggets on crack. They are huge! But before I get started, let's get the nitty gritty out of the way. Parking is free but they do not have a parking lot, it's street parking which is free BUT it's hard to find. So just be aware of that as it took me a few minutes to find parking and to walk to the location. They are also located inside of a taco joint. It's right on the corner so if you see a taco joint, it's in there. I think there are 2 locations in one. But don't quote me on it. Lol As soon as I walked in, I was greeted right away which was great. I got their combo with 2 mini sliders and 4 chicken nuggets with seasoned waffle fries. The mini sliders were yummy! The bread was soft soft soft and the chicken was flavorful and tender. It could've been a little more juicy but for what I think is chicken breast nuggets, it was great. The chicken nuggets seriously looked like Chick-fil-A's nuggets on crack. They were huge but still tender, juicy and flavorful! The dining room was ok. They had a few small tables so that you could dine if you want. No bathrooms though! And oh yeah save room for dessert! I got their peanut butter pie... It was delicious!! The crust was bomb and the rest of the pie was not that sweet which is a huge plus for me. The only reason why I took off a star was cuz the main reason why I went there was to get the fried pickles and they were out. It was only around 5pm and they were out. Nugtown is an iconic little food stall and I cannot recommend it enough. I came here with OTM and got the vegan (cauliflower) nuggets and they were delicious. Freshly fried piping hot nugs, a mind bogglingly crispy batter, melt in your mouth tender cauliflower, and sauces that were out of this world. The medium was tangy and slightly spicy, the honey mustard was a classic flavor, and the jalapeño honey was basically honey with this kick of jalapeño. I truly cannot pick a favorite. Skip the drive through and head to a street corner to get some fantastic freshly fried goodies from Nugtown! They pop-up on Thursday-Sunday starting at 3pm on the northwest corner of Sycamore and Fountain in Hollywood. I parked on the street less than a block away, walked with my dog to their spacious tented spot, and ordered some essentials: chicken nuggets, vegan nuggets (fried cauliflower), and waffle fries. My first real true love was the chicken nugget, and Nugtown more than satisfies my chicky nugg desires! They really know how to perfectly fry - they use just the right amount of batter on the nuggs and it doesn't separate from the chicken/cauliflower when frying, and everything turns out super crispy and crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside. Whatever seasoning they use is great and not overpowering, and their dipping sauces (I tried their mild and medium) are unique as they're on the liquidy side and have a smoothly tangy and peppery tomato taste. It was all sooooo yummy, and I used every last drop of the sauces. Next time, I'll have to add extra sauces to my order, and I really want to try their fried pickles too. I love that Nugtown is here in LA and that they're a small business. The guy who took my order was real chill and nice, and he was also the one who cooked up my food and bagged it - quite the multi-talented multi-tasker keeping this small business going! Since they're a pop-up operation, I suggest checking their Instagram before you go (@nugtownla) just in case they had to change their schedule or sold out of nuggs early. read more

Delicious, succulent perfect nuggets. I've never had anything like it in my whole life. The mild sauce was amazing. I usually love aïoli but this had no cream it was more of a sweet-and-sour but it was amazing. The owner told us that he makes everything himself and the battery doesn't have any butter milk therefore it's lighter than your usual breading.
