I love their fried banana and it's one of the popularist and now I know why because the taste is so good. I would love you to come here the ambiance here is good. It's a very relaxing spot with many lanterns and also by the way they have corgis here that are so cute and nice. Would recommend 1,000,000% 10 out of 10 love it. They have a simple menu but make everything well. I enjoyed the chicken wings with steamed rice. The wings were so good. A bit crunchy, very juicy, the sauce was sweet and savory. There was a ton of garlic and jalepeno. It was so delicious. And the steamed rice paired beautifully. The texture of the rice was so good. I love coming here for good vibes and food. Something unique and different in SFV. Great FoH rep and chef. They love entertaining their guests and sharing their stories. Fish sauce wings are spot on (if you don't go to Westminster lol). Tangy, mini crunch on the outside, and juicy and moist on the inside. Plus, jampacked with garlic (cooked with a good amount of butter). Not quite sure if the jalapeños do (or taste) anything, but sure why not. Shrimp was good, clean (removed residuals), and not overcooked. Lazy to peel the shrimp skin so I usually eat it. Garlic noodles are great. Slightly oily but better than most places. Lastly, got the Hainan chicken. A bit disappointing by the quantity for the price ($14), but the rice tasted good. I'd personally stick with the shrimp or fish sauce wings. The best part of this place are their fried bananas. I like to get the whole piece and eat it at the end with my refreshing calamansi coco drink. Crispy and fun on the inside because the banana is melted along the exterior hard shell. I recommend the whole fried banana instead of the pieces. I loved this little home restaurant! I had been wanting to go there for a while now and I couldn't stop thinking about it. Finally I went on a whim, packed up my kids and headed over, I was pleasantly surprised by the way it was set up! Located in a home right off the intersection of saticoy and Wilbur, I spotted the lights indicating this was the spot! You walk right in and are greeted by I'm assuming mother and daughter, clean area welcomed by the k fried bananas decor and then a Vietnamese souvenir type of wall, all legitimate. It was a beautiful homage to their homeland. I was semi prepared to order because of the reviews on Yelp. I started with 2 chicken phos, since it is only available on Saturdays , I had to take advantage besides, my son loves it, it was very homey and delicious, next, I couldn't wait to get my hands on those wings, those wings alone would make me come back for more. So crispy and garlicky, just superb! Nice touch with the jalapeños that sauce is amazing compliments well with the rice that comes with the combo. Hainan chicken was also something we wanted to try so we got that as well! We also tried the shaken beef, decent but I think the winner of the night has to be the wings. It's crazy because we drive pass it so many time and didn't realize there actually shop there. It's literally at a house. They have an outdoor kitchen set up in front/ drive with a couple of tables. They specialize on fried banana of course and I'm down for some good fried bananas. Besides their fried banana they have a few Vietnamese dishes and drinks as well. They also have different specials. Check the specials board. We have tried the following: Fried Bananas- 5/5 Stars- This was absolutely fantastic. The batter was crispy and light. The banana was sweet as well. Garlic Shrimp with Noodles- Who doesn't love Vietnamese home cooking. This was so flavorful and the shrimp was fresh. I recommend getting it with rice so you can soak up all the garlic sauce. It's $2 more for the noodles. Everything is made fresh to order even the fried bananas so please be patient. Service was so sweet and friendly. They only accept cash, Zelle and Venmo. The fried banana nuggets are seriously addicting. I do prefer them over the giant fried banana. Perfectly golden batter and crispy on the outside, with a hot, soft, naturally sweet center. This time I placed two orders of the mini nuggets. I also tried the shaken beef with garlic noodles, and it was delicious. Cute family run place out of a house on Wilbur. The fried bananas are indeed very crispy. I believe they triple fried each banana with their batter. The banana itself was not very sweet and you don't taste much of it. Mostly just taste that crunchy batter. Service was a bit slow both times I've been there and if there are one or two orders ahead of yours, be prepared to wait. Seems like only one person is preparing all the orders on two burners. Stumbled across this makeshift front yard restaurant on a drive-by on our way to another restaurant (turned out the restaurant we headed to closed early so we circled back and checked this place out!). We got: - the pork egg rolls (3/$5)- hot, crispy, freshly deep fried - garlic butter noodles ($7)- so flavorful with lots of sautéed garlic (thick noodles; would've liked them thinner) - hainan chicken ($13)- big scoop of rice with fried shallots on top and a handful of perfectly poached/steamed chicken. My husband is a meaty guy so he wished the chicken portion was more. - fried banana (large- $5 ea): we ordered 4; super crunchy, light tasting, not overly sweet with a hint of banana flavor. So good on its own but I'm sure you can sprinkle with powdered sugar or dip in Nutella or have it with ice cream! Our food was still warm/hot when we ate it at home!
