Lunch portion of smothered chicken with collard greens. Oh Les Sisters makes their own hot sauce! It is for sale at the restaurant!
    Jenn H.

We got to Les Sisters before they opened but they opened the door a little early. We were the first ones in and ordered right away. Very sad there's no more buttermilk pie available in the restaurant. If you order catering you can order a whole pie. My friend was sad no more shrimp and grits. My smothered chicken with extra gravy was delicious as always. Red beans and rice was tasty but I think it could have simmered a little bit longer. It was good but some dishes taste better the next day so they have time to soak up all the flavor. No more soda fountain. Auntie at the counter has to go in the back to get you ice water. We had a chance to talk to Jess and I straight up asked what's going on? Jess is up front doing the day to day restaurant stuff. Now she has a business partner who handles all the paperwork for the business. I'm happy for Jess that she's still here and less stressed. So be kind. Be patient.

This place isn't close to home, but I'm really glad I stopped by. The food was great, and the customer service was very homey and sweet. I would absolutely stop by again if I'm ever in the area. They also have good seating and a nice environment overall.

It's been a while since our last visit to Les Sisters, and while the menu has slimmed down since we were here last, the food is just as good as we remembered still delicious and consistent as ever. We ordered the shrimp jambalaya, smothered chicken with a side of yams, and the killer chicken po'boy.. The shrimp jambalaya was hearty and full of flavor, the smothered chicken was boneless and tender with rich gravy, and the yams were the perfect sweet complement. The killer chicken po'boy lived up to its name. And save room for dessert! The peach cobbler was absolutely delicious.

Food was good, I left satisfied. The lunch-sized catfish and hush puppies with beans and rice exceeded my expectations. I was especially surprised by the portion size of the smothered pork chops it was generous and flavorful. The ambiance was average, but the service was less pleasant. That may have been an isolated case on the day we visited. We had a misunderstanding regarding an item we saw in a previous Yelp review photo. We thought we had ordered it, but later learned it was no longer on the menu. This wasn't clarified, and we got the impression that the server understood our request. During lunch, having only one person handling both the cashier and table service can compromise the experience, especially when a customer needs extra time or has questions.

Delicious. Had a chicken Sammie with bacon. Crispy, huge. Perfect amount of slaw. Yams great. Friends loved their fried chicken and collards. Staff friendly.

We always enjoy eating at Les Sisters restaurant when we are in town! Owner, Jessica is a real sweetheart, and a hard worker. She serves up some really good Cajun, creole and soul food. My favorites are the jambalaya and the hot pups.

Ordered a Family 5 pack for delivery. What a treat! The ordering process on GrubHub was easy. The delivery was very close to the promised delivery window. The driver was a very nice man. The food was hot and well packaged. It all looked great. It tasted really good too. The chicken was moist and crispy. Ordered "regular" and found it tasty yet not as salty as I expected. I really liked it. Red beans and rice was tasty. The Cole slaw was saucy and tasty. Only thing I didn't care for were the cornbread muffins; tasted soapy.

First time at Nordhoff location. Have not been since before the pandemic. Located on a bust street but had adequate parking and ADA access in the side of the building. Nice, warm welcome from staff. Homey and fun decor in walls. Plenty of seating and bright and clean. I ordered the shrimps and grits with a side of hush puppies. The portion was very generous, grits were creamy and the shrimp were soft not overcooked. There was sliced sausage on top that was added to the dish. It definitely added flavor and medium spice to the entree. Since I am not at all the spicy food person it was probably minor for most people- just spicy for me. I ordered a large order of hush puppies but should have gotten a 4 piece. It was a lot of food. I am used to a more savory hush puppy than a cornbread type with maple syrup on the side. But they were tasty. Will definitely be back to try other menu items.

Yay to good soul food in the valley! Very friendly service. I believe it was the owner who assisted me. The catfish was delicious. Perfectly seasoned & fried. I was skeptical about the greens because they had large chunks of onions however I was pleasantly surprised. They were very tasty! They share a large parking lot in back with plenty of parking.

We saw & Waffles on Yelp and decided to walk down her from the coffee shop, which was maybe a 1/4 away from each other. Once we arrived, outside you're greeted by a nice waffle with wings mural, and inside a bustling establishment. With a hostess at the front and a cheeky "(Christopher) Walkers only" sign. We waited maybe 10-15 minutes uses to be seated and then sat in the bar area if the restaurant. We ordered the following: Cajun chicken & waffle Baja Omelet w/eggs whites and side of fruit The dishes were huge; especially the Cajun chicken & waffles. But best, the food was delicious, and worth the stop in. Overall: Great food, great staff, popular spot. Would definitely come back if in the area ever again, and needed a bite to eat.

We reviewed what others had recommended prior to ordering and decided on the Texas Style Chicken and Waffles along with the Combo Burrito (with bacon and Polish sausage). Both were a winner! And to drink we enjoyed a Lavender Iced Latte and a French Vanilla Iced Latte...both also spot on! The reason I deducted a star and only gave 4 stars instead of 5 and this is a BIG pet peeve of mine that I'm noticing more restaurants doing is setting their mobile credit card machines to include tax on tips! The tip % should ALWAYS be on the subtotal however in these restaurants' desire to make life more "convenient" with the pre-set Tip options (e.g 18%, 20%, 22%), they are knowingly setting their machines to include the tax in hopes that most people likely won't catch it. I'm usually good at calculating it myself but in my haste today, simply hit the default 20% button and only realized when I got home and doubled checked the bill. Also, I don't feel they should charge more for a non-dairy milk alternative as a lot of folks have milk allergies like myself...even most of the other coffee houses don't charge for milk alternatives anymore. At an already pricey $8.49 and $7.49 for these two lattes, it's unnecessary to gouge another $0.75 for Oatmilk. Hopefully the owner sees this and will consider adjusting both.

My sister ordered the Belgian Liege Waffle with Berries and Banana. I ordered the Chimichurri Steak Quesadilla. We shared foods and hit the ultimate combo of savory and sweet. We saved the Waffle for dessert. The most surprising thing was how amazing and crisp the waffle was after we ate the savory parts of our shared meals. This is the second location in The Valley. I was told by the hosts that that area is first come first serve so she didn't see a problem with it so I sat there. One of the gentleman that works there asked if I wanted anything to drink so I ordered a coffee. Moments later, while drinking my coffee the lady that's assigned to that section asked if I wanted to order anything or if I needed a menu which then I informed her that I was waiting for a table and was told it was cool if I sat there while I drank a coffee. She then rudely stated in Spanish. "I DON'T MAKE MONEY THAT WAY" then storms off. The lady starts complaining to her coworkers and they start looking my way. They then inform the guy that always wears a black shirt and slick back hair who I believe is a manager and he comes over and explains that this section is for walk ins that plan to sit and eat here and am welcomed to wait outside or in the waiting area.I informed him it wasn't a problem but thats the reason I asked from the beginning. I also mentioned we drove from Simi Valley to come here and there were many other restaurant options but I told him how the waitress treated me and he said he would talk to her. I told him I would pay for the coffee and I would leave. He said don't worry about the coffee. I didn't even finish my coffee I set it down and left. After coming here for years with family, friends, even referring this place to others I WILL NEVER COMEBACK AGAIN. We made our way to the Country Café in Chatsworth and of course got great hospitality and food.
