Had an amazing experience here. Store was very clean and smelled good. Had a huge selection of every type of hair you could want in every possible color. I am not very good at picking out wigs and Michelle was extremely friendly and helpful. Ask for her if you go in. She took me in the wig room and helped me pick a look and allowed me to try on wigs to find my perfect fit and length. Michelle also gave me a sale on the wig price which I was thrilled about. I would like to say that Number One beauty is doing much better about keeping the outside area clean. I did not notice any trash or debris outside the store. The isles were crowded and congested. The owner should store some items in the back storage area. The bathroom was dirty, it should be keep clean. I feel the Number One Beauty IS making improvements. read more

So, I should buy stock in this place as I come at least once every other month to buy wigs, extensions, earrings, and general hair supplies. Its located near pine hills, smack dab in the 'hood, but that's where the best beauty supply stores are, so it's worth it. Very inexpensive, but they also offer high end human hair wigs and bundles at reasonable prices as well, the back half of the store is a hair sealant, and most aisles are full of hair products, with the wigs and weaves lining the perimeter. There is typically a cop inside, cause for some reason people like to steal hair, and there are always friendly, knowledgeable women walking the aisles offering help. Typically, you're rung up by a man that knows just as much about hair products as any stylist. I don't shop anywhere else, and if you see me rocking some new hair, just know I got it from here. read more

Bought a blonde bundle from here not too long ago . TERRIBLEEE!! I should've learned my lesson because a year ago I spent 700$ on 4 40inch bundles and that hair was TRASH ! Garbage . They are selling highly blended hair ( a stylist that even worked there confirmed with me) . If it's a quick cheap look go ahead ! But if you want hair that last and is pretty . Don't shop here ... Being very honest here. I love this place! They have a large variety of products so it's pretty much a one stop shop for hair products and even other beauty supply items. I live near the airport but will drive from there to this place because I like what I get for my dollars. Understand the place is a mom & pop type shop that employs many other people besides there kids (love this whole heartedly). I've bought the natural bundles from them, different pack hair and crochet hair, and was even stepped into try out wigs but making them fit me to look super natural. Each items I've been able to where at minimum a month (I don't go past a month - posted pics). I purchase different hair products and skin care items from them (loving charcoal soaps, cleanser and masks at the moment). There is always people walking around asking if you need help. Some of the other reviews mentioned workers being on their phone but honestly they can work and still pick up their phones every now and then while being productive...I work in an office environment and do it too; just not recklessly. At the end of the day I've been all over for a decent place to get products from since I'm not the order online type of lady (instant gratification) and this place has comparable prices, a large variety and is very consistent for me as far as service goes. Since moving to Orlando it took me a while to find legit store ( sadly there are really no options on the east side). But this place exceeds my expectations. At the beginning of my search I was plagued with half stocked stores, with horrible customer service people that did not even want to sell their products. Which is the opposite of what I'm used to; fully stocked "one stop shop" hair stores that are willing to assist you and eager to sell their product. This place has everything from a wide variety of extensions to wigs, relaxers to make-up products (such as LA Girl and NYX) and natural soaps to oils. The thing I really love about this place is the customer service. The girls are so sweet and they know the product (because they use it) and they honestly go above and beyond. I've never received this type of service in a hair store; they all deserve raises!! The only downside is that like a typical hair store the place isn't the cleanest. But don't look anywhere else for a good hair store, this business is where you need to be. read more

I visited this establishment today, the service was absolutely horrible. The employees were extremely rude and not very helpful. This was my first and last time frequenting this business. I'm sure a representative of the owner/owner was present and the individual did nothing to counteract the unprofessionalism of the employees. The individual working the register had a complete attitude because I asked for another bag, after she stuffed too many things in the bag she was giving me and it ripped. Good luck if you decided to spend your money here...maybe it's just a neighborhood store and outside patrons aren't welcome. Only number one this beauty supply is gonna get is a 1 star . I am from out of town and I needed a few items this store was closest to my resort. I walk into the store and say hi ... the big dude with the ponytail didn't say anything I stop, turn around and say it again looking at him like i know you heard me say hello ! I'm here to spend money in this store and you can't even say hello back bad start , so he says hi . I walk towards the back a young woman ask me if I needed help and she showed me where I could find everything I needed . I went to counter he doesn't speak , he rings everything up and bags it and stands there ... I dead stare at him in his face like are you going to tell me the total or you want me to figure it out myself ? ... I say what's the total he tells me the total he gets my card and says "pin" ... and hands me my receipt .. and you know this guy didn't even say thank you ! I have been coming here for years. They meet all of my hair store needs. I can get raw shea butter, hair accessories, or a waist trainer. You can get everything here. Wigs, braiding hair, bundles, clip ins. The prices are very competitive and fair. The customer service is not the best. One of my coworkers recommended this place to me when I said that I wanted hair extensions. I was a bit skeptical of the location, but after her convincing, I ended up coming in. I was very pleased with the whole experience. The staff was friendly and helped me right away. I have brown hair with light highlights so it's been difficult for me to find extensions to match, Sally's had nothing to offer. The lady helping me had a bit of trouble trying to find the right color, so she got the manager and asked for his assistance. Together they pulled a few different options and gave them to me to look at in front of the mirror. They helped me pick the perfect shade that I wanted, and even gave me a bit of a discount on the extensions. The staff is EXTREMELY friendly and helpful. If you can't find something or have no clue of what you need to be looking for just ask. They have a VERY wide selection and for the most part things are pretty organized. It is in a random place downtown but we all know the best places are always is the random places. read more

I'm giving this place a one star bec it was clean & organized. Otherwise, my experience was not good. I walked in, wanting to see if they had extensions close to the hair color I just had done. It's an ash grey/blonde, so I wasn't sure they would, but still... Saw good reviews about them spending time & answering questions.... NOT my experience at all. I was greeted after a few moments with "you looking for extensions?" From a guy behind the counter. He said "I can tell you right now, we won't have your color". I said, "ok, wasn't sure- but I thought I'd check". He took me back to the back to "look"... Brought out bright white/blonde extensions & said... These are close. Ummmm... No. Not at all.... Don't buy their virgin natural hair!!! The first time I bought their hair, I was so excited that I sent several friends. The third time was horrible, the hair was sold as virgin, but after it driedit appeared to have been processed and after having it installed I called to complain. I was told I could exchange the hair. I live 90 miles away from the store. However, when I returned the hair they would not honor what was told to me over the phone. Received the wig today, I live in California and ordered a wig from this store. It is very thin like baby hair with quite a bit of breakage. The crown and scalp are full but as you reach the tip there are only a small number of hairs which make the wig seem like the tips are simply fly aways. I would have to take about 4 inches off in order to make the wig seem natural and full. I have purchased many wigs over time and have not ran into this issue before. I am very dissapointed. I do not want a refund or exchange, I just wanted to let you know of the issues I found with your vendor. For the price and calling it a discount is an overstatement. Sadly I am very dissapointed and will be sure to post reviews so no one else is decieved. Perhaps reaching out to the company who custom makes my wigs would not be such a bad idea. They might be able to give you their vendors information. Their quality and hair type is much higher quality. They are starlacewigs dot com. This bss is a little ways from me but well worth the drive. I went in to purchase a wig and it was a wonderful experience. They tons of wigs in different colors and styles to choose from and the best part was unlike many bss they actually have no limit on how many you try on. They just ask that you put the wig back on the wig head and put it back where you found it. Also the girls that work there I believe will cut the lace for you and even sew it on depending on the time of day and how busy they are. Now I'm not 100% sure of this as this is what I believe I overheard though I did see with my own eyes that they will cut the lace for you. Great experience , will be back soon! read more
