There was a big write up in the local news that they were finally opening to the public again and would resume the buffet. My buddy and I were on the island so I mentioned we should check it out. The food on the bar was all fresh, this was a little surprising as it was 2:30 in the afternoon. There were more people than I expected also, maybe 10 or 12 people. What I have begun to notice is that chinese buffets are not the big deal to me that they once were. I would rather have one dish that is really good as opposed to as much as I wanted that was just OK. They did have egg fu yung, not every buffet will take the chance to do this as it gets cold quickly. They limited how much was on the buffet and this kept it fresh. Pecan chicken was probably the best item. It looked like coconut shrimp but I saw it was not and tried it anyway. It was very good. Our drinks were not refilled regularly and we waited far to long for a bill, only to be told that they don't do that, just go to the counter and pay. They do have a full menu and the buffet is only open for lunch. This is a bit misleading and they might consider changing the name.

Unfortunately, the flavor of both meals was far from satisfactory, and we began to question the quality of the meat, or possibly the meat products being used. Given our concerns, we don't feel inclined to return.
