Decided to get a pedicure before returning home to New York. This nail salon wasn't here when I lived in the area in 2019. Salon was clean, and Lee Lee did an excellent job on massaging my tired feet. They had an abundance of colors and services to chose from. Everything looked new including the massage chairs. They offered mimosas and I happily indulged in two glasses. It was a relaxing and rejuvenating experience. I will return when visiting family. read more

I absolutely love my nails. I haven't had my nails looking this good in years !! My daughter and I were looking for a new place because we've been to so many and walked out disappointed. They look like a little hole in the wall so we sat in the parking lot hesitating for a few minutes. Boy am I glad we decided to give them a try!! I literally went just to get rhinestones added to my big toe. I didn't want a polish or anything extra. I walked in they had a couple of customers being serviced but nothing busy and the lady didn't even look up to greet me. While the lady didn't make eye contact in this one sided conversation she quickly turned me down. I had a really nice visit here! I always try to wait a week before giving a review of a salon like this so I can see how the nails hold up and I must say, I'm impressed! I got a gel manicure on my natural nails and my only complaint was that I'm used to my cuticles getting a little more attention, but they were still fine. The polish was also a little sloppy/on the skin but I know that's sometimes just what happens. The citrus + florals in the soaking bowl were a lovely touch and their polish selection is huge! I have had two manicures and a pedicure here. I will certainly be back. The area is very clean, the staff is super friendly and I never feel rushed. They have a very large selection of colors to choose from. Their prices are right on point with everywhere else in town. My only complaint is the ventilation. All the sets I've gotten here I've liked. The staff are friendly and the shop is clean. However, I strongly recommend making an appointment. Also, they can make you feel rushed at times. My last visit I felt rushed through and have several small issues. There was also poor communication on their part which lead me to having uneven nails. I'm not a shrinking violet so I'll be making sure this doesn't happen again to me at least. I'll be returning, but any new customer should bear these things in mind. read more

Decided to try NumberOne Nail based on their Facebook posts. I messaged the salon a few times with questions before making an appointment and I always received prompt responses. I made my appointment in person a few days before I wanted to go in, in order to check it out. I was running late for my appointment and called to see if it was still ok for me to come in. The gentlemen who answered was kind and said it was ok. The salon is clean and the pedicure chairs and manicure salons look fairly new. The prices are comparable to other nail salons in the area. My appointment was with Kelly, the owner. She was friendly and patient. I opted for dipping powder with a design. I showed her what design I wanted based on what I saw on their Facebook page. She offered me a drink before she began working on my nails. The service was fast but I didn't feel rushed. We made small talk and I asked her a few questions. She was very knowledgeable and helpful with her answers. She did a great job on my nails and the design. I definitely plan on returning in two to three weeks. read more

Just moved to town and this is the first nail salon I decided to try based on their photos that they can do designs. That's a big plus for me. So I got a pedicure and an ombré nail full set. After I was leaving the shop, sitting in my car preparing to leave, there was a sign posted near the front door. There was a Physical Therapist who witnessed the whole thing & walked our bc she could not support that shop bc of what they did to me. This shop is obviously clueless about the law. I just found my new go to nail salon today! I found this place on instagram and I saw their work, I had to give this place a try. When I came I realized that i've been there before. They totally remodeled the inside, very inviting inside and chic. It didn't take long for me to get my nails done. I don't remember who did my nails but she did a fabulous job. She took her time and was able to accommodate the look I was looking for. The price is reasonable, for the time, effort, and quality, it was worth every penny. I just left #1 Nail and was highly impressed by the service we received! Our appointment was at 11 and we were promptly seated and out by 12. I had a gel manicure and pedicure and the service was great. Lana was my nail tech and she did a fabulous job, with great attention to detail. What I really loved about this salon was their color options! I've been to so many where I can't match my pedi to my mani if I choose not to do gel on both, but here, they have the matching colors!! The prices were a little higher for the basics (no mani/pedi combo either) and they don't have a kids pedicure price, so my daughter was $25. Overall the service and speed was great. read more

Do not go here. I've been here a few times and was pleased enough with the service before, but have never experienced anything like what happened this morning... and I've been getting my nails done for 20 years. I called ahead and explained that I wanted a full set pink powder and white powder French. "Kelly" said no problem see you at 11". I arrived a few minutes before my appointment at which time she stated she misunderstood me because she though I had said "ombré", which I did not. However, being pressed for time I figured accidents happen, no worries, I'll just get the white tips with clear acrylic as that is the only thing the other technicians were apparently capable of doing at the time. So I sat down, was offered drinks, everything was fine. The girl started putting the white tips on my nails.... but she put them half way up my nail bed. She started to cut them down but it was just so much white that it looked awful. I asked if it was possible to put the tips a little lower down on the nail bed, and the girl went to get "Kelly". She came and said no, something about the nail bed being too short (it wasn't, not my first rodeo) and that now she was going to remove the tips completely because she was no longer comfortable doing my nails for fear of a bad review... all this, for asking if they could be placed lower. She continues that I needed to go somewhere else where people were able to do French manicures with pink and white powder. I stated that the only bad review would be for wasting my time and then refusing service while I sat there with 10 white tips already on. Then she got a nasty attitude and became loud, continuing at me with remakes like I cannot be happy and nobody would want to serve me. ALL FOR ASKING IF THE TIPS COULD BE PLACED A LITTLE LOWER.For asking a simple question. The girl at the table proceeded to soak my fingers and haphazardly remove the tips while "Kelly" continued making remarks to me and about me to her other customers loudly. I asked her if she even realized how many times I had been to that shop, but she kept making comments to other clients. Avoid this place at all costs. I'd give zero stars if it was possible. I went in for a fill and thought I would try gel. On their website it says a gel fill is $25. On their add ons it says gel is $16. Now a regular fill is $19 so it's already an extra $6 for gel. It's a few dollars more, like every other nail salon does. But Number One Nail also charges you the $16 for getting gel. So what I thought was going to be $25 ended up being $40! Now I did get a 10% discount for paying cash, but that's insane. I did look at all the pricing before deciding to get gel. And I didn't get a manicure, I got an acrylic fill. The last two times I've gone my nails have been uneven and sloppy. The last time three nails popped off within a week of having them. I glued them back on but they fell off again. I had my eyebrows waxed once as well and they were uneven. So I definitely won't be coming back. read more

Tried this place as I had heard good things, but was actually very disappointed. When I walked in I asked for a gel manicure, but was told that dip is better because gel would "peel within a week". I agreed to get dip as I didn't want my nails to peel. With a 15% tip I paid $75 for a set of DIP nails and did not receive a manicure what's so ever. Within 2 days my dip was cracked/chipping and the gel top coat was peeling. I was upset so I went back and told them, the man who did my nails took off the set and redid them. THE NEXT DAY my nails were peeling and chipping, the dip was literally crumbling off of my nails. I have had dip plenty of times and know this is not acceptable as it is supposed to be sturdy and "better for your nails". The other day i left a great review after getting a pedicure. Today I went to get a full set and had the worst experience. So i have to make a new review. I set an allotted hour and thirty minutes to get a full set done. (Since normally I can go to any salon and be done in no more than an hour) I got there and it over an hour just to put the set on. Then my nail technician stopped and left me to do waxing in the back and said someone would paint my nails. I sat there for a good 20minutes (enough time for her to do 2 waxes) still no one came to finish my nails. As i sat there after all that time already I realized my nails weren't even shaped correctly. 5 out of 10 of my nails did not look like how they're supposed to. And i would know, i get full sets bi-weekly. My alarm went off telling me its been and hour and a half , time for me to go. I got up and asked to pay already. They FINALLY realized I was upset and tried to stop me and tell me they were going to paint my nails. After waiting that long for a service Im paying for, I politely told them no thankyou I would go home and paint them my self, I already have waited too long for poor quality. I ended up paying $32 for a full set! Normally I pay $25 at any other salon for a full set. And if they were good i would mind paying $32 But my nails were unevenly shaped and lopsided! They didn't even paint them! And made me wait SO long for someone to finish my nails! So I find it absolutely ridiculous at the price I was charged! Plus I have to tip. So all in all I paid $40 for an unfinished AND uneven full set! They need to learn to take care of the customers they're already in the process of taking care of! read more

I must say today was actually the worst customer service I have ever had and when I say ever I mean ever! To see Kelly, the owner/manager act as rude as she did I was literally appalled. I made an appointment the day before and ended up arriving at this nail shop to several people waiting. I thought little of it since I had an appointment and even though it was the day before the Fourth of July. Kelly proceeded to let me know even though I had an appointment I would still need to wait for at least an hour. I said ok and sat down. No more than 5 minutes later Kelly says who did you speak to for your appointment because I just don't see your name? I said I'm not sure who the young lady is who I spoke to but she sounded like you. She asked me what I'm having done and I said a simple pedicure. Kelly said well it was not me and I don't have your name down. So now it was my fault basically that she could not locate the appointment I made with the shop. Meanwhile, a Caucasian lady and a child walked in and Kelly never asked about an appointment. She asked them what they would like to have done and told them she would get to them as soon as possible. She then again talks across the salon to me so everyone could hear her and says just give me a call later and I will see if I can take you! I said would it be better for you to call me when you see an opening and she rudely said no. Instead of allowing Kelly to make any more of a scene I just walked out and let it go. I called her back to let her know how unprofessional and disrespectful she was and she decided to hang up in my face!! Again, this was the owner of the shop acting this way! I was disgusted with how Kelly handled the entire situation. It was either all about the money since I was not getting both a mani and pedi I just needed the pedi. Or about race after seeing that the white woman with her child was in no way treated the way I was and was never asked about an appointment! Kelly you should be ashamed of yourself not only as a business owner but as a minority female business owner at that acting the way you did! You should never let money come before how you treat people. For these very reasons alone I would suggest everyone take your money elsewhere to a shop that appreciates the very people keeping them in business. As for you Kelly you need extra courses in customer service and how to treat all people with respect, love, and kindness!! read more

I wanted a specific design as I told the lady that's not what I wanted she then told me that I told her that's what I wanted when I specifically told her I didn't want any white on my nails just nude. Do you guys believe that this set was $130??? When she told me that price I expected it to be the exact design that I wanted. After we nicely told the owner the problem he proceeded to put his hands in my mothers face telling her to be quiet. And he also said that this is what I wanted when he wasn't even near her when I explained what I wanted. This was the worst experience I've had at a salon, it was very hostile for no reason.
