I have always loved numero uno deep dish, sweet crust type pizza. But there is a 50/50 chance that they will get your order right. I always order delivery and leave very specific instructions around well done... Extra cheese, but it normally shows up wrong. But they are very nice people and the food comes quickly. They have also always offered a free pizza for later if they mess up your order. But for me, when I'm ready to eat what I want, it consistently being wrong is a real bummer. Whenever I go in the restaurant there are always people of all ages sitting and enjoying themselves. Sometimes the owner will come by and talk to people at their tables. It sort of reminds you of being in a cafe in Italy . It's very quaint and the outside has a bridge all lit up over water to make it very romantic. WORST Numero Uno franchise. Franchises should follow recipes, not make their own. Quality & taste is nothing like the Numero Uno my family has been eating for 40+ yrs. Does this look like good Marinara sauce? It was dry, dark brown, thick (purely tomato paste), and BITTER. No Numero Uno uses this sauce. Anyone can Google Numero Uno marinara and see how red and liquidy it usually is. Owner was of no help. I let him know my frustration after driving 1 hour to this location. Expressed I've never had Numero Uno marinara taste or look like this. He acted dismissive & even insulted. Invalidated my experience by saying he's been using that recipe for 30 years. What a joke. Guess I'll just have to let corporate know one of their franchisees thinks they can change their recipes at will. I will NEVER be back to this location. Pizza was all soggy with a few cheap ingredients thrown about. Skimpy on the cheese. They also DONT give fresh parmesan or fresh red peppers like every other Numero Uno location. VERY BAD! Back in June my husband picked up the works pizza, when he got home and cut into it, there was a hair literally stringing out of the slice. We grabbed our phone quickly and recorded the rest of the hair coming out of the dough. He called and let the manager know about it and offered to send her the video; she said 'no, it's not necessary'. She was nice and she asked for my husbands name and said we could get a replacement. Last week 08/08/25 at 5:35PM, we picked up the replacement and it was HORRIBLE! The cook must have known it was a pizza at no charge because it was NOT COOKED THOROUGHLY! It was NOT edible so we threw it away. There's no point in calling them about it anymore. I used to eat here frequently, but life got in the way and I hadn't neen back in many months. Today I went with two friends who had never been there, and we were all delighted. We all had small pizzas and they were delicious. I have had salads in the past which were, and undoubtedly still are, excellent. A OK. I do miss the old days when NU was prolific and competition was fierce. While certainly not the best NU that I've been to, the deep dish pizza was OK but lacked on cheese covering the pizza and the house salad was OK, it lacked on tomatoes and cucumbers. The fried bread puff balls were small and lacked flavor, the ones that they have at Presto Pasta are way way better and looks and tastes like the way NU used to make them. The employees were all nice and attentive. If you're going to dine in, dress for hot air because owner/management doesn't use the AC. The place is rather small inside, I wouldn't go there with more than a party of four. I'm embarrassed to say that I have lived in this valley for over 20yrs and this was the first time we dined in at Numero Uno! We have always LOVED deep dish pizza and have ordered to go in the past, but this time we decided to have a sit down dinner. I must say, the family that owns this place are the sweetest people and they will make you feel like part of their family. We enjoyed good music and watched The Dodgers game. The food is exceptional! We grabbed a traditional deep dish and a thin crust to share. You can add garlic or anchovies to any pizza but they gave me a side of anchovies since it was my first try. Pizza is absolutely delicious when done right. Although numero uno has its ups and downs, it still has one of the best pizzas I have ever tasted in my life. Better than papa Johns, amecis, toppers, tomato Joe's, dominoes, Pizza Hut, little caesers, vincenzos and some Chicago deep dish pizza chains in New York. It's been around for a long time and well let's say it is very convenient especially when the location and its surroundings. The place has replaced the bad pizza cooks with better ones and now the pizza is living up to the name. I ordered the works, bell peppers, mozzarella cheese, tomatoes, tomato sauce, onions, garlic and a deep dish dough that melts in the mouth if starving. The bad, I got bloated and fatter after eating it. The prices are generic, it hover around 15-20$ for the medium and large. I don't like addition of garlic because the taste is strong. The dough and crust mix well with the pizza and the spaghetti I ordered on the side was okay although the sauce they put on is super fresh. The salad was generic and the garlic bread was okay. Nothing flashy. The parking lot outside is wide and actually connected to the parking lot next to the nearby IHOP. It's rare that I visit numero uno but it is definitely a splurge. Since COVID is becoming more widespread and the gyms are closed, it is hard to lose the weight although I walk everyday and eat fruits and veggies to make up for the pizza. After 2 slices my stomach said it's time to stop, take a break and rest. The food fills you up but I'm getting old and the body can't take it like it used to. I'd put numero uno in the top 3 pizza places I ever had so I thoroughly recommend you try it if you have one nearby. read more

We were craving Numero Uno Pizza and had to get our fix on, so we found this Numero Uno in Santa Clarita and had never been there before & decided to give it a try. We were amazed at how nice the people were working there and the quaint little boutique shopping center it was located in. The pizza was totally amazing - the best ever! We ordered the Slaughterhouse 5 which was sooooo delicious ! It was cooked exactly as we ordered it - just perfect! We even had some left over and we had it for breakfast the next day.
