Today was my first visit at NuPower Yoga + Barre via a Class Pass. I was greeted warmly by Ashley who introduced me to the studio space and helped me get settled. I was blown away by the skill & support of the Align 60 instructor, Leah, she was by far one of the best courses I have ever taken. I felt so connected to my body and aware of parts of myself I ignore so often. I really loved the gentleness and invitations to modify as needed, as well as, having a in classroom support to the instructor to come around and assist with posture, I feel so bad but I have forgotten her name. It was my first time using straps, but thankfully I was supported. All the other classmates were kind and there was enough space for everyone, even though it was pretty full. I failed to take any pictures as I wanted to be present to the moment, but one beautiful offering is a tea station near the restrooms, cubbies to place items, and a lavender cool face towel at the end of class. I took my first class at NuPower Yoga+Barre this past week, a community yoga class. With the current situation, the handling of distancing and sanitation is spot on; limited capacity during class, adequately spaced out spots marked on the floor, temperature checks at the door, and wet rags infused with cleaning agents to wipe off your personal used yoga mat. Overall the class was great! I enjoyed the instructor and her willingness to let us practice based on how our body was feeling. Some positions I used modifications and I wasn't once called out in front of class or scrutinized. I certainly worked up a sweat while allowing my body to stretch and my mind to embrace the stillness, even if only for a short while. The studio is cute (although a bit of color on the walls and/or greenery in the space wouldn't hurt), there's a ton of storage space to put your extra belongings, and the front door is locked during class (safety is key!). I'll certainly be back again soon to check out some of their other class offerings! read more

I really like this studio, but they do not staff their desk well. I was trying to come to a morning class and I was running late. I called to let them know I'm late and ask what their policy is and no one answered. I was only 9 min late so I drove over and when I arrived the door was locked and not a soul in sight. So I guess the only one managing the studio is the instructor. A lot of studios do this to save money and I think it's bull-poop! It's terrible customer service and not fair to the instructors. Whoever owns this studio I hope you consider the customers and money you lose by trying to cut corners in this way. read more

This studio is wonderful! The owner, Linda, is very friendly and her yoga sculpt classes are my favorite, along with Zaidee's barre classes! Every time I go I am made to feel a pat of their yoga community. I absolutely love NuPower Yoga+Barre! I was given a month of yoga classes by my boss in the summer of 2018 and have been practicing since. The community is amazing and the instructors are so knowledgeable and supportive! Whenever I'm out of practice and come back it centers me and let's me know that I should be here more. Lots of other yoga places right around here, I would highly recommend one of those instead as it is clear that nupower is not doing well enough seeing as they have to partner with a towing company to get profits from people parking there after they are closed. Disgusting that they feel the need to steal peoples money after hours, which are very limited by the way, only open until 1:30. Will not be getting my business ever again.
