Absolutely wonderful yoga studio. They create such a calm wonderful environment, with wonderful attention to detail from the lavender scented towels to the cleanliness of the studio. Their schedule of classes is a great variety of traditional vinyasa, yin, and strength. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I've started to enjoy these strength classes. I really think they are a wonderful addition to my practice. The studio also has phenomenal grippy Manduka yoga mats. All of the high-quality equipment makes the practice all the more enjoyable. The instructors really seem to care about you and your form, and unlike other studios I've visited, they allow enough time for a true shavasana! read more

Visiting Nashville I saw a poster board for yoga classes as I was walking around and quickly scanned the QR code to check out later. It decided to go the next morning. It was my first hot yoga class and it was amazing. The studio was really nice and the atmosphere was great. Next time in Nashville I would return. read more

I love this spot - beautiful, relaxing, free parking (always a bonus). I started off winning a giveaway to attend a month for free back in winter and loved a few of the classes that I wanted to stay on, so I have a mini membership that gets me to the warm deep stretch and sound bath classes. I love yoga for the relaxation and stretching as I work my body in other exercises pretty often, so it's my time to ground myself. I really wish they had more of these style classes, once a day would be great, but I get to the Sunday and Thursday classes as often as I can. The staff is great, the place is clean, easy amenities, and awesome location. Plus the one month deal for $30 is a great way to start off your journey there. read more

Great place to relax and unwind. I have been to numerous classes and all of them had a good flow, but the deep stretch is by far the most relaxing and easiest to unwind. read more

New yoga studio in the Mid-Town area in Nashville! This is a Georgia based yoga studio and it's making its debut to Nashville. This studio have two hours validated parking. The entrance is beautiful with cubbies to store your personal belongings. They have free yoga mat rentals. The face or mat towels are available to rent - the only down side of this studio. The studio is beautiful and peaceful. After each session they give you a frozen lavender towel that is a great feeling after a power flow. they currently have a promotion for 1 month for $30! read more

Highland Yoga has been a perfect edition to the Nashville yoga community. Logistically speaking, it is in a perfect little spot off of Music Row, has more than enough parking (with full $ coverage!), and is in a quiet, covered, well-lit garage and building space. In terms of studio life, it is so welcoming and enjoyable! Clean amenities, affordable membership with online classes included, a beautiful studio space, and classes that are tuned to any level of experience, new and advanced. I personally am a big fan of the Slow & Steady classes, as they allow good time for holding poses and getting a good stretch in with the infrared heat to warm up the body, as well as the new Sculpt classes which really test the limits of movement and strength! Cannot recommend Highland enough-- it has truly been one of the best investments in my routine, and I can't wait to see how our community grows further here in Nashville! read more

I'm really disappointed with my experience at this studio. I had purchased a class for my brief time in Nashville and was not able to attend due to medical reasons. I reached out to explain the situation in advance and was not able to get a refund. For a business that promotes wellness and mindfulness, their customer service and empathy were severely lacking. Life happens -- and I expected a wellness studio to handle personal health-related matters with a little more understanding. Sadly, I won't consider booking with them in the future and won't recommend them to others. read more

Love this studio! I joined while living in Atlanta and am so excited they opened in Nashville! The classes are the perfect flow/cadence developed for all levels. You know what you will get out of every class (workout-wise)! The studio is a calm, soothing and clean environment, which is a wonderful place to come to during our busy days. They have parking validation and mats to borrow! All of the instructors are so nice and welcoming. They all have slightly different ways of teaching. The instructors allow you to modify or add when needed! read more

I've been practicing at highland Yoga for years. I've tried other studios but this one's my favorite. I love the environments and the encouragement in class and the temperature is on avg 93-94 so it's not too hot! Always feel refreshed and thoroughly worked after class!! read more

Love this place! It has everything I want in a yoga studio. It's just the right mix of crunchy, bougie and calm. So far I've only taken Mary Kate's class but her class is challenging and athletic. I love that they provide hand towels and cold scented clothes at the end of class. The studio is big and airy so unless it's totally booked you likely have space at your mat. They rent mats if you need and validate parking. I can just roll up, take class and go home feeling energized. The only thing they don't do is give you a free puppy or kitten at the end which would be strange so I guess no notes really. read more

Today was my first class at Highland Yoga where I took slow flow. It was perfect - challenging but still enjoyable! The teacher Heather was awesome! Her instructions and guidance were clear and easy to follow. The studio itself is beautiful! The best one I've been too. I'm from out-of-town and popped in for this class. If I lived in the area it would be my go to studio! It's also super clean which is very important to me! They encourage wiping down the mats and offer towels to cover as well. The nicest touch at the end was the cold towel scented with peppermint essential oils. read more

Workout classes can be intimidating and having a forever injury that requires modification can make it feel even scarier however, the employees always make sure to welcome new people show them around. I find that before classes (particularly a more full class) there will be socialization between members/attendees and it's not just with people they know, rather with whoever is standing nearby. Of course no one is forcing conversations if people don't wish to be social, but it just feels extra welcoming. The instructors never make you feel left out or like a burden if you need modifications. Having done barre for a while, I'm pretty good at doing my own, however without signaling anyone out they'll offer and demonstrate different modifications for each move and encourage people to take what they need. It's nice to be reminded that this is your workout, and the way you do it doesn't have to fit perfectly into a certain look or move. They also offer hands on modifications, which you can tell them if you'd rather not receive them, but the modifications are never forceful (I think most group fitness people have experienced a modifications from a good intentioned teacher that was a little too zealous - that's never happened to me at Barre3). This is a great place for beginners, for people who are feeling a little alone on starting a fitness/barre journey, for regulars, and for all the in-betweeners. It's a welcoming and inclusive environment, that encourages modifications, all skill levels, and support where ever you need it. However, don't be fooled by all the niceness too much, because the workout will still absolutely kick your butt and is harder than you think - but it's delivered in a way that's always encouraging. Also, the free parking is a major plus of this location! You can park in the attached garage or street parking nearby. For the garage I use the call box and let them know I'm there for barre3 but make sure you get the door code from an employee before your visit, because you'll need that to enter the 2nd door.

I don't know if he's enlightened or just stubborn, but I respect it deeply. Class was wild. My legs were vibrating like an iPhone on silent. Every time I thought we were done, Cody was like, "One more plank," and now I live in plank. My arms wrote this review without me, and filled for divorce. The room could be hotter. I want to be sweating like I'm being interrogated by the CIA. I want to see visions of my ancestors handing me a towel. I want to crawl out drenched, whispering "water" like it's a lost language. Studio's clean, everyone's nice, and apparently it's nonprofit, which in this economy feels like a spiritual awakening on its own. Will absolutely be back to legally suffer in the name of wellness.

There is a welcome center with information and a small gift shop. Before bringing a stroller we would always go on the trail through the park woods but now with our baby and taking a stroller we take the paved path which was just redone and is SO nice!!! Strollers and bikes are not permitted on the dirt path so keep that in mind. There is so much beauty to look at while enjoying a nice peaceful walk. Eagles, owls, deer, frogs, turtles, birds, and more creatures to look at all while visiting Radnor. It is a staple as a local to get outdoors and into fresh air. Great place to take kids or any family that is visiting or even a great place to go on a nice solo long walk.

This parking lot is smaller, but we were surprised to find a spot easily. When we left around 10:45, there was a line of about 6 cars waiting, though cars seemed to move through fairly quickly. There is a nice bathroom at the top of the parking lot. From this entrance, you can also access the trail along the lake, though strollers and dogs are not allowed on that trail. We chose the lower paved trail instead (part of the mulch trail loop). It's wide -- almost road-sized -- and newly paved the entire way. It took about 15 minutes to reach the lake, and there's plenty more paved trail beyond that. We saw frogs, ducks, turtles, deer, an owl, and even a bald eagle. My kids stayed engaged the whole time. The trail was flat and easy for stroller pushing, and my older kids rode scooters without any issues. There were lots of families, dogs, and walkers out, but it never felt overcrowded. Overall, this is a great near-the-city option for getting young kids into nature without dealing with steep terrain. The other entrance off Granny White has the visitor center and a bit more parking.

I have been to this studio many times and have loved every session with every instructor I've had. The aura of the studio is very unique and has lots of room to spread out and not feel like you are on top of another person, which I've experience in many other yoga studios. The most recent experience with heather was amazing! I was the only one in the class due to cancellations but she made me feel very comfortable and I appreciated her attention to detail. I am dealing with a minor injury and she was very mindful of this during my session. Can't recommend this studio enough!! read more

Highland Yoga is such a peaceful enviroment to practice in. The sound baths are wonderful and they even have the magnesium foot spray that they will spray on your feet to relax you. If this review were about them, it would be five stars. It's not. A yoga studio sells more than exercise. It sells a philosophy. Non-harming. Truthfulness. Compassion. Equanimity. When you pay for yoga, you're paying for a space where those principles are supposed to mean something. Two days ago, I got there early for a spot near the support bar. I have newly diagnosed early onset arthritis and was trying to take care of my body that day. A woman I'd never met asked me to move. She said she had a broken hip. I said, "You have a broken hip?" -- genuinely surprised. She'd had surgery and was recovering. I nodded and moved. I was annoyed; but, I did exactly what was asked of me. No argument. No scene. Twenty seconds. She replied with attitude, "Thanks for being so nice about it." I let it go. Here is what I did wrong: I asked a question before complying, and I didn't smile while doing it. What I didn't know: she was the owner's close friend of twelve years. She didn't know my name -- staff must have given it to her so she could complain about a member who had complied with her request. Within an hour, the owner, Nora Shabayek, called me. Hostile from the first sentence -- not investigating, but defending a friend. She made it plain: this was personal, her dear friend of twelve years, and I lacked compassion. She read her friend's text messages aloud as evidence -- accusations that were grossly exaggerated and often false. She talked over me. Got loud. She kept claiming she was protecting the space -- from what? A twenty-second interaction where I complied and no one was harmed? While she berated a loyal member with zero curiosity, zero grace? She terminated my five-year membership over someone else's account of something she never saw. She never genuinely asked for my side. The truth wasn't important -- it was her relationship with her friend that mattered here. Nora claimed others in the room agreed I was rude. I don't believe it. Anyone in that room saw one question, then compliance. The worst anyone could say is I didn't look happy about moving -- and if that's grounds for termination, no customer is safe. Someone who berates a customer, acts on hearsay, and terminates a five-year relationship while claiming to protect the space is the person the space needs protecting from. What made the calls surreal: Nora kept emphasizing her friend's severe limitations -- couldn't get up stairs, needed parking cones. She was confirming exactly why my question made sense. She was making my case for me. I called back hoping to be heard. Every time I responded to false accusations, she talked over me and called me combative. The dynamic was set: she was right, I was wrong, and defending myself was further proof that I was a villain. Twenty seconds undid five years and all the money I poured into this studio. A few things Nora never did: ask why I was near that bar. Consider I might be managing my own body. Weigh five years of loyalty against twenty seconds of compliance. Apologize. Acknowledge she witnessed nothing. To his credit, the studio manager, Nick, called me afterward. He acknowledged the termination was wrong and reinstated my membership. I appreciate him. He was the one professional and fair person trying to make it right. I cancelled. I cannot practice where the owner settles personal grievances with business authority (clear abuse of power), violates client privacy, and embodies the opposite of every principle on the walls. The teachers are wonderful. The classes are high quality. But the person running the place doesn't practice what she sells. What happened wasn't ahimsa, satya, or compassion. It was someone with power using a business to punish a stranger because her friend felt slighted by a question and a lack of a smile. I loved this studio. I recommended it to many over the years. Going forward, those recommendations come with a warning.
