She started with 24 hour care and they worked with us to reduce the time as she got better. All the caregivers were very good to her, and we couldn't have asked for more. They helped her with her walking, made her meals, took her to therapy appointments and reminded her to take her medications. If we have the need again, we will definitely hire Visiting Angels!

The first day the caregiver came and seemed very nice, however she went to lunch and never came back. She left my sister in her bed, out of her wheelchair. Thank God a family friend was there as well to get my sister out of bed and back into her wheelchair. My mother just being out of surgery couldn't handle any of this. When speaking with Melissa, (because at this point Nancy has also disappeared) she continued to say, "we are looking for a replacement". Which is strange because they had several other caregivers scheduled for other days so why was NO days covered now when only 1 caregiver disappeared. They had no excuse. I called for another update the same day it happened, and everyone had gone home for the day (at 4pm)! After much frustration we had to continuously call them for an update which they didn't have. So, Melissa gave us another agency to call and just told us to call them ourselves. Just completely dropping us. No urgency whatsoever. We did call said Agency and they had care for us within hours and updated us every 15 minutes and also covered the rest of the 2 weeks. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND VISITING ANGELS. They will leave you high and dry with no explanation and leave your loved one in a compromising and possibly dangerous situation alone. Come to find out that 4 of their caregivers recently walked out as well.

I called to complain about my aide, I asked for the owner or location boss. I believe the name of who I spoke to was Christopher. The aides was named Lisa. I called him about the aide. It became obvious to both of us, he was thinking about another Lisa. I gave him a description of her appearance which shows how poor their record keeping and management is. He should have access to my account and know the aide that was in my house. I ask him to please call back with identification of who was in my house, Despite promises, he would locate the information , he never did call back. I am a judgement free person. The aide was quite rotund which prevented har from being able to fulfill duties that her company said they provided. She had very significant problems walking and bending. On an 80 degree day, she stated it was too hot to walk my dog. I asked her to spot clean a couple places on the tiles floors. She could not bend well and did a half ass job. She was bad about following easy directions and retaining the next task.

We also have been working with them for my mom for the past 3 years and the service has been over the top. They are compassionate and the quality of care is top notch. The staff have always been friendly and helpful and the residents genuinely love living here. There is a variety of daily activities for those that want to participate, quality food onsite (all meals included), and plenty of additional amenities that help make living here super convenient. It's also a great location just east of Scottsdale on Shea. The apartments themselves are a great size and the entire facility is clean and vibrant. I'm not sure if this will be "home" for the long term for my mom, but it has been perfect for the time being.

Yesterday, I went to visit them and have lunch with them at their facility's restaurant. From the moment I walked in, I marveled at how new and beautiful everything looked. There was even a slight smell of fresh paint to add to the newness. The decor in the lobby was gorgeous and upscale, with high ceilings, inventive light fixtures, and lots of seating. The restaurant offers sit-down service. They have daily specials and a soup of the day. They had a good variety of sandwiches, salads, soups, and desserts for lunch. The brownie was my favorite part of the meal. It was decadent! This facility allows for small pets. There is a dog run area outside. There's also a heated pool and a gorgeous seating area outside with a large television mounted on the wall. My friend showed me the activity schedule. They offer many fitness and enrichment classes, such as art classes in the art studio. There are also bridge, rummikub, and mahjong groups that meet on a regular basis. This facility is not yet at 100% capacity. I would definitely recommend booking a tour if you are in the market for retirement living, assisted living, or memory care.
