We have been using TheKey (San Jose) for 24 hour care since October 2022. Aside from a couple of…read morereliable caregivers, we have had poor quality of care exacerbating an already stressful situation. There does not appear to be a matching process or vetting. There has not been alignment between caregivers, staffing manager, and care manager causing confusion, multiple miscommunications, poor continuity of care and additional stress. Calendars (if we get an updated one) are never accurate and there does not appear to be accountability for who is responsible for what. My family has had almost no peace of mind during this difficult time and I have spent countless hours managing problems with both caregivers and Keys leadership multiple times a week. Two night caregivers have slept through multiple call button rings, two caregivers have no showed, one caregiver walked around the house all night keeping everyone awake. After asking the care manager all this week to verify coverage for this weekend, another no show tonight - Christmas weekend. These are only a few examples of problems that have occurred in a short period of time. Why not fire The Keys? Easier said than done. While my parents have me advocating for them, it's sad to think about other vulnerable elderly folks that need support and are being taken advantage of by what appears to be incompetent leadership and a poor for profit business model. For the amount of money Keys charges, service should be seamless. Do better. You are certainly not helping older adults live well in their own homes or improving their quality of lives. We know that stress and lack of sleep exacerbate medical problems. Sadly, The Keys has succeeded in accomplishing this.

Sage was recommended by the acute care facility she was recently at, and Sage Hospice stepped right in and made the process of dealing with everything such a breeze. I was supposed to get a call from the director..that never happened...we were denied a hoyer lift when my dear Mom could not move...I was told it was ann expense they did not want...I also asked about supplies for her incontinence and was told that "we" ordered too much and it was getting expensive...under hospice rules, we are allowed all the supplies that we need. We were told that we needed to change nursed half way through her treatment, with no explanation. I had to call the on-call nurse twice and got no answer...I did notice that they have a lot of turnover...I had an excellent appointment with two of the on-call nurses and they went about and beyond...Calan and Dana were great..the others, not so much! You will find better care than this company that only worries about their profit...their employees have been told (and they told us) that the profit was the biggest concern to the owner.

The place is spotless and welcoming. They have a small kitchen to use. I also noticed on my way out that there is a cabinet full of games and things to do while you're there. Family members are able to stay there overnight if they desire. There is a sofa and easy chair in each room along with sink and toilet. I'm glad I went as my friend's husband is not doing well. He was resting peacefully and that's all we can ask. They have their own parking.

Five stars!!! We hired Visiting Angels to care for my mother-in-law after knee replacement…read moresurgery, and they helped her so much!! She started with 24 hour care and they worked with us to reduce the time as she got better. All the caregivers were very good to her, and we couldn't have asked for more. They helped her with her walking, made her meals, took her to therapy appointments and reminded her to take her medications. If we have the need again, we will definitely hire Visiting Angels!

My mother set up 2 weeks of care for my…read moredisabled sister (Weeks in advance) because she had to have surgery, in which all was covered per Nancy at Visiting Angels. The first day the caregiver came and seemed very nice, however she went to lunch and never came back. She left my sister in her bed, out of her wheelchair. Thank God a family friend was there as well to get my sister out of bed and back into her wheelchair. My mother just being out of surgery couldn't handle any of this. When speaking with Melissa, (because at this point Nancy has also disappeared) she continued to say, "we are looking for a replacement". Which is strange because they had several other caregivers scheduled for other days so why was NO days covered now when only 1 caregiver disappeared. They had no excuse. I called for another update the same day it happened, and everyone had gone home for the day (at 4pm)! After much frustration we had to continuously call them for an update which they didn't have. So, Melissa gave us another agency to call and just told us to call them ourselves. Just completely dropping us. No urgency whatsoever. We did call said Agency and they had care for us within hours and updated us every 15 minutes and also covered the rest of the 2 weeks. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND VISITING ANGELS. They will leave you high and dry with no explanation and leave your loved one in a compromising and possibly dangerous situation alone. Come to find out that 4 of their caregivers recently walked out as well.

I called…read moreBruce on a Sunday night from the hospital as my father in law needed Hospice placement as he was given weeks to live, Bruce called me back within 5 minutes, and he showed up at the Hospital within an hour to speak with myself and my wife. Bruce listened to my wife's concerns about her dad and her wishes, and Bruce scheduled Hospice homes to visit within 24 hours. My wife, my father in law and I have been very happy with the Hospice home placement and because of the Hospice home my father in law is still alive and doing okay, that was 5 months ago. We know my father in-law is on borrowed time at this point but he is happy in the hospice home and that is what matters most to us. Bruce & Debs continued connection after the placement has been great, they see my father in law at least a few times a month. I cannot say enough about Bruce & Deb but if you need placement of a loved one, call Bruce & Deb with the Scottsdale CarePatrol they offer unparalleled service, communication, compassion, and giving at a time when it is needed for your loved ones care and dignity.
