I picked up Krav Maga in my mid-40s because I realized I'm a "freezer." I needed to learn how to retrain my brain to act in dangerous situations. I'm petite, about 5-feet tall. I was skeptical at first that I would be able to physically compete with someone much larger than me until I saw Caity fight. We are close to the same size, and she is a fierce, agile fighter as well as a fantastic instructor! Whenever we are practicing a technique in class that is likely not suitable for someone my size, Caity always has another tactic to share so I can discover what works best for me. Alex exudes passion and excitement that is contagious to his students. He is sincerely concerned with helping each student, regardless of skill level, not only improve every time they step into his class but also have fun and build confidence. Caity and Alex both possess a natural ability to provide feedback and instruction without undermining confidence, which is one of the most crucial characteristics of a good teacher. I've never left one of Alex or Caity's classes without feeling better about myself and looking forward to the next class. I'm willing to drive an hour or more to train with Caity and Alex because they offer a challenging, safe, fun environment where I feel comfortable letting go of my personal insecurities in order to learn and become more adept and confident at protecting myself in the event of an attack or dangerous situation. I also love that Rogue offers other forms of fitness such as yoga and strength training. Caity and Alex have created a space where I can grow stronger and healthier mentally and physically. Rogue feels like a second home.

They have belts on the platform beds that help hold you in place during a stretch session. I will definitely recommend the seaboard location if you're looking to increase flexibility.

Very personal and informative about what to expect. We completed some customary forms for personal intake. Once we provided the information and areas of concern - we were instructed to the stretch tables and provided what stretches they would do. The overall session was exactly 30 mins. Of the areas of concern they provided a great stretch. I felt a difference as soon as I got up. At that point, they provided you a plan of action to assist with building up your flexibility. For us, it was a 3x times a week plan for about $400 a month. They do offer $85 sessions as well if you would like to come in and out as needed without a committed plan. I think this is a good option for those looking for this type of thing to assist with their overall health and wellbeing. I would recommend to others, definitely!

I did already use the app to send in a question but I've seen no acknowledgment and no reply. I've only been a member here about a month. They don't seem to enforce their own policies about sharing equipment, and cellphone use while using equipment. I work in customer service jobs. So I've dealt with upset people, but not usually at the gym. I picked Planet Fitness because they seem to be a gym for ordinary people, not steroid users. Today I went to use a machine. I could see it was occupied but the member was sitting on the machine with his phone. I asked if I could work in like I do at any gym. He said he had 5 more sets to do. So I waited about 2 ft away. The other member asked what I was doing. I tried to explain to him I was just waiting for the machine. He got very upset and kept telling me to "get out of his space and go away". He kept yelling as I tried to explain I was waiting there because it was the last machine I needed. At first I thought he might have said just five more reps (quick). But if so, why would he care if I just waited a few minutes. And if it was five sets he really should have shared the machine. He never said "Hey would you mind standing behind me." He just wanted me away and thought he had the right to tell me what to do. This while yelling that asking him to share the machine was the same as telling him how and where to workout. I was quite surprised so I went to talk to a staff member to 1) ask about the right thing to do and 2) see if there was another place to work out. The staff member went back to that member still working out. They talked to them but I don't know what they said. Instead of talking to them about sharing equipment, they seemed to prefer to deescalate the situation by moving me to another area. That wasn't helpful because the only other machine was also in use. Should I just wander around the building while I'm waiting to use a machine? I notice a lot of folks either sitting on the machine during their entire set or staring at their phones while resting despite a sign at the front door asking members to not do that. I honestly don't feel comfortable at this place if this is how they fail to address bad behavior by members.

This was only my 2nd time to the facility and I was interrupted by the owner who knocked on the changing room door to accuse me of using his facility as a "pit stop" for a shower. I tried to explain to him he was mistaken about my first visit and to check the cameras of my time at the facility. I'm not sure why I had to even explain that scenario or prove this but he had no interest in looking at the footage and he rather I didn't use his facility. Clearly I was changing from business clothes in to work out clothes to begin a workout over my lunch hour while having this very confusing conversation with him. I've been a long time Snap Fitness patron at a different location and was excited to learn this location was close to my office. I'll absolutely not be returning. I very rarely review things but I'm shocked how any establishment treats their customers like this. As a result of his actions, I'll be canceling my membership.
