I came here recently to pick up some supplements (elderberry - bleh) as well as grab a refreshing smoothie while I perused. While I agree with others' sentiments regarding the lack of female presence - it doesn't bother me like it does a small percentage of patrons. Honestly - the guys that work here are pleasant enough and somewhat knowledgeable for what they sell. I usually know what I am looking for prior to shopping, so my questions are pretty limited. I was greeted promptly and assisted with extreme courtesy. I'll say though - If it were me - I'd educate myself prior to going into a place like this anyway - especially with the amount of knowledge out there, you'd almost be crazy not to! Seriously speaking - we're all human and what works for one may not work for the other. So to expect a blanket recommendation to suffice would be risky. As well, most of the products carried here come with your standard warning label... "ask a physician.." The Smoothie Factory: Not bad. A tad watered down, but for what I get - the Strawberry Kale w/L-carnitine, it's tasty. Not bitter, not grainy, and an adequate amount for the price. I kind of prefer here over some of the "healthy chains," but then again as a SBO myself - I'm all for supporting the little guy. Is it 5 stars? Not for me. Reason? It's limited. For a "Nutrition Depot," the only things I really found that seemed to stand out, were muscle building supplements and loads and loads of protein powders. That's great for all the body-builders out there, that's just not my forté. I guess I just expected a bit more in terms of all-natural and nutritional. It's clean, smells like any smoothie spot and customer service is alright as well. As soon as I walk in I'm greeted with a smile. I did not come here for what the usual customer comes here to purchase. I came here for BOXES! Why, yes! Nutrition Depot has a huge sign out near the road advertising that they sell used boxes "cheap." Well, okay, I'm forever on the hunt for boxes to ship stuff in. Who wants to pay a chunk of money for a box when nothing out in your garage will work? Quick! Grab your tape measure and figure out what size you need. Bring that tape measure with you. Head to Nutrition Depot. For a dollar (yes -- $1) you can buy ANY sized box that they've got in their back store room! Most of their boxes are collapsed already (which is why you need the tape measure), but some haven't been collapsed yet. Surprise! You may even get one that's loaded with great quality bubble wrap -- still for that same buck. Woo-hoo! Friendly sales associate helped me find what I needed and brought it out to my car too. I usually just buy protein bars when I visit the location. This time around because of COVID my weight sky rocketed and I went for recommendations. Store was empty, person who asked if I needed help had little knowledge and the other guy was rude. You would think they be happy and helpful when the store was empty. If your a dude then this is your place. But ladies with supplement questions.... won't get much help. Especially if you are a middle aged female.Don't get me wrong.... five guys will ask you if you need any help but they gave crazy suggestions. Ladies have special needs at times and some supplements topics can be embarrassing. I suggested to the manager for him to hire a female to make some customers feel more comfortable and his reply was, "I haven't found one yet smart enough. I love how a past post makes a comment about needing a female employee but kinda wanna puke but the managers reply " I haven't found one smart enough. ". I just went in there and spent over $200 but would have spent more. (for myself and my business) But not after the experience. First off, after walking in I was asked 4 times by the same person and a few by other people if I need help. I replied that I was just looking at new products and I am fine every time. I then here a idiot yell across the place " did that women end up buying anything" rudely. Then they realized I was in the store still. If I didn't need stuff immediately I would have walked out. I don't usually post reviews, but a friend recommended this place and after driving across town, I was very disappointed. I was rushed and not all my questions were answered. The shorter young man with a shaven head seemed like he didn't even want to be there and couldn't care less about my questions on the product.
