It was packed full of raw chopped garlic. It was not finely chopped either. Looked like a 2 year old took a knife to garlic and threw it on there. And the other veggies like the tomatoes were RAW. They make good pizza and their building can host multiple parties. There is a room upstairs and there is a room off the first floor to host a party. Arcade games to keep the kiddos busy. We ordered two large pies to go. I grew up on the east coast so maybe I'm expecting too much. Toppings were okay; any vegetable toppings were bland. The biggest negative to me was the crust - a bit sweet, not chewy at all with little gluten development in the dough. I have yet to find a great pizza in SouthEast Portland area. This place is a blue collar place with reasonable prices and a 6.5 out of 10 pizza. Now mind you I'm not sure I've eaten a 10. Went in ordered at the counter and when I asked for a beer I was kindly referred to go into the bar and they transferred my tab. I had a pizza parlor quality salad that was fresh and the pizza came out with fresh tomato slices The sauce was mild and not sweet which I prefer. There are huge debates about types of crust. The 2 pizzas my wife and I got were the white sauce chicken & bbq chicken. l would say they were in between damn good & pretty damn good. Nice thick mushroom slices. The garlic bread sticks were amazing, nice and cheesy. The only negatives were no wings on the menu and the lack of outside signage. We've probably driven past it 25 times and only found out about it because the next closest pizza place was closed. I asked how long they had been there and they said "30 years". The problem here is the food has always been great and the service was always excellent BUT the place was sold and the new owners seem to like running a shit show. We were there last night and the service was almost non existent When we walked in there was only two people in the outer area, the bar area was maybe a third occupied and the server was not in attendance for a good 15 minutes. When she did come in and took our order we only saw her twice in the next half hour. Our pizza never arrived and we walked out with another two couples who had waited even longer than us. I really do not recommend you go there unless you don't mind waiting forever to not be served. read more

This is one of my favorite spots. Their pizza is really good. I'm also a breadsticks guy and they have a few different kinds, all really good. The one with the garlic white sauce is my favorite. This place has a good variety of pizzas, salads, and sandwiches. I've dined in with friends and family or just popped in to the bar for a beer and pizza to go. Service was great on both sides. They also seem like they hire a lot of high school kids. I love that. They all seem to be working hard and trying their best. They treated my father and very nice when we needed help. If you're in the area definitely stop by, if you want to try something new it's definitely worth going out of your way for a beer and a pie!! read more

I enjoy this place with good pizza, reasonable prices and very very friendly staff. It is very disappointing with all the kids that come into the business in awe of the numerous arcade games that all but one is broken. I know arcade machines can be expensive to fix but replacing them with newer machines even out of box stores might be an option to entertain young ones. Sadly this is the only reason stopping us from frequenting as often because our daughter is more upset the driving arcade games don't work along with even the candy machine. The business would result in longer stays and more memories along with money made even if a few of the broken arcade machines were replaced with working machines. Hopefully this is on the list to slowly replace since repairing might be more costly. read more

This little pizza place does a great job,food is always good and good customer service. I was there yesterday ordered a pizza from home which is about 10 miles away .I guess they got a new system, no longer writing the orders by hand. When I arrived 15 minutes later, they could not find my order anywhere. I talked to the girl that took my order by phone , and she told me they had just got a new computerized, system in and it was not working correctly yet so she apologized, ask me if I would mind waiting I told her no ,mistakes can be made specially with the new system and and for the mixup they went ahead and comped me a freshly made Italian sandwich, which was delicious. I guess it just gave me a chance to go ahead and have a cold beer in the little bar that's attached, which was tasty they didn't have to do that but that's what I call. Good customer service, always take good care of your customers. That's why I'll make the 10 mile drive to get my pizzas there. read more

I drive by this place so often and have never stopped in. Well today, we had to make a stop! The service was great. So friendly, so accommodating. Checking in, made sure we were okay, had plates and everything we might have needed, and that the food was good. Better service than I've had in awhile... PDX is so over ran with snooty pompous waiters and hostesses these days. Nice to just come into a good down to earth, sports place with a friendly nice host/owner that is happy about life vs. an emo hipster who could care less about your experience in their restaurant. The pizza was classic and filled me up after quick runs on the slopes. I'd def stop by here again. I'm full to the brim and ready for a nice nap. Carb overload. Beer was nice and refreshing too. I'm a guy who loves pizza, and I guess you could consider me somewhat of a *cough* foodie *cough*, meaning, I tend to take food seriously. I want quality food for the money I spend. I work hard for it, so is that too much to ask?! I also aspire to support the local businesses as much as possible, and Nuts On Sports is a good little pizza place with nice people and a decent pie. I've been around the city and experienced a few different pizza places (ie Apizza Scholl, Flying Pie, Wall Street etc (reviews to come)) and for Boring, it works. The place itself is a little wonky and quirky in regards to the layout, but, hey! Relax. It's BORING. So is it the best pizza you'll ever put up to your pie hole? Sadly no, but it's DEFINITELY better than the cheap corporate pizza chain crap. The toppings are plentiful, the sauce is pretty good (a bit bitter for me-I prefer a sweeter sauce), and the crust has chewy center with a nice toast-like outer texture and taste. So if you're in the Boring area, I would suggest to swing by, shell out a couple extra bucks for a local and good pie! read more

We were warmly greeted as soon as we walked in. An older man, i'm assuming the owner was very friendly and handed my 6 yr old quarters to play in their arcade. Very nice gesture. He made a couple suggestions and told us for a couple bucks more we could get more for our money. As we waited watching a game on tv, he came by and topped of my husbands beer free of charge.
