I've been a member of this credit union for 11 years . At the branches , their employees shine. Nice and friendly . But if you try them on the phone, it's been taking up to three hours to wait on hold or get a callback from their customer service staff . I think that is unconsiousable !! They keep merging with other credit unions but can't even service their present customers. This has been a persistent problem for a year. I'm in the process of going to a different credit union because of this for my basic banking ! It is their loss because nobody should have to wait hours for an agent on the phone to solve a problem they have with their bank. read more

This was the worst customer service encounter I've had in my life, this was at the Fountain Valley branch. The female rep at the fountain valley branch was on her cell phone constantly while she was opening an account for me. She kept asking me the same questions multiple times because she was so distracted by her cell phone. When i commented about her asking the same question again and again she became even more rude and condescending. In the end I told her I would go to the other branch because she's being very difficult, she replied "oh I'm the difficult one". She also said, "good luck I'll be notifying them". Then I drove to the Costa Mesa branch to proceed with opening the account. I arrived at the Costa Mesa branch at 4:45 PM and they told me they are open until 6 PM but they are busy making phone calls. Mind you, there were no customers in the branch at the time and there were about 5 representatives working at the time. I really wanted to open an account here and deposit a large balance into a CD but now I'll be seeking another credit union. read more

Only one person available to interface with, another one in a closed office area. Maybe they offer personal interface in other branches, so you might give them a try? Personally I am in the process of cancelling all automatic transactions and will change institutions ASAP. If a member of your household was in the Navy their Cr. Union is far superior. It's a small branch and wasn't sure about the service until I met Yury, the Branch Manager and Robert. Wow! They took the service received at another, larger branch to a whole new level! I've appreciated everything they've done for me in person. They're very easy to work with and I'm always assured they'll get the job done right. We travel out of the country and it's important we get our 'vacation away' requests in for purchases made out of the country and we've never had a problem. I have been banking with Nuvision practically my whole life and I have to say that my experience with Robert was by far the best one I have had with any Nuvision team member. I put in a request for a personal loan and he contacted me by the next business day and really walked me through the whole process. I also was curious about refinancing my car, but as I explained to Robert - I was really nervous as this is the first car I have ever owned on my own. Again, he made everything so easy and took care of everything, and answered all of my questions. He's very attentive and made sure to check in with me during each step of the process. Robert runs a smooth ship and, once again, helped me over the phone with a problem that has been ongoing, across the board, for about a week. They are the worst! I have had the same last name for 30 years. For some reason, three years ago, someone in their income tax department entered my last name wrong on my W9. For THREE years in a row, I have both contacted them and submitted a corrected form. All they have to do is change the name to the correct spelling but this action seems to mystify them! The name on my account is correct and has always been correct but they just don't seem to be able to get it right on the W9- even with all of the emails, live chats, phone calls and corrected forms! Jaimie said that he'd make sure it got corrected and I requested an email to confirm that they finally got it right after three years. Over a month goes by and they not a word from them. I email again and not only did they not do anything, now they want a copy of my diver's license. read more

My current vehicle had a interest rate of 11.34% and I didn't have no idea how to get this rate lowered. They closed and moved the Magnolia branch to open a machine branch on Brookhurst. Never mind that the new location is less convenient for many people (because I'm sure it's great for others), there is no more drive through ATM and the location is small and feels sterile/clinical. I loved Magnolia because it felt more personal. I joined a local credit union to get away from that impersonal touch, and now it's worse than before. Not to mention that many of the night drop services have changed. I will say the two employees on the floor to "service" the machines are doing their best to make people happy, and have great attitudes. I feel bad for them as every person I witnessed who came in was unhappy with the change. Bad move on NV's part. I'm sure time will tell whether it matters or not, but I'm totally turned off by the change. read more
