Came here twice in the last two days to open up a credit card. They are nice but there is always a wait to see a banker, I don't know why? It seems like there are plenty of bankers so it's a bit strange why I wait for 20 minutes. I saw one twice, he was really nice but my issue is when I had questions about the Reserve card he really didn't know anything. He just kept reading off the brochure and set me home with some. I went home and called the chase credit card services phone number (which even he told me to call....) and they were AMAZING. so helpful. I wish I could just apply over the phone since they have such good service but they said I had to apply online or at the branch. So the next day I went back with a decision (thanks to the phone credit card services) and the branch took awhile again, but I got what I needed and left. It is clean, spacious and I probably won't be back unless I really have to because I think the people on the phone help you more and know more about their credit cards. read more

It's horrible customer service at this branch. My ATM card was closed without my knowledge. I was here more than 30 min just to deposit. After 2 weeks I came back same problem. I went through the whole process to find out why and they don't have any answers. Finally the manager Nicole Herrin came and told me she will request a new card for me and told the teller to process my transaction. After all is said and done about 1 hour wait she came and told me I can't access to my money. I want her to explain but she left me to deal with other customers. The whole ordeal with the teller and Nicole was ridiculous. They didn't offer any help other than having an attitude like they own the bank and you're at their mercy with how they want to treat you. read more

What a lousy bank . I walked in with my cousin to cash his check .They were rude and they refused to cash a cashier check that they issued to my cousin for lack of funds ?? What a joke ? "Lack of funds" . I wish I can charge the bank for "NSF" . I asked if my cousin can sign the check to me , they still refused to cash it or deposit it in my account . They were asking my cousin if he has an account with them ? What difference does it make .?? They issued the cashier check and they should cash it for him. BTW . Have nothing negative to say about this location. Everyone seems to like coming here, therefore, the teller line was long when I came in. I love their independent and spacious parking lot in comparison to the shared lot between Chase & Wellsfargo on Beach & Westminster. This is a nice local chase bank located on Edinger across the street from Bella Terra. The best part about this Chase is that it offers a drive thru ATM. I don't feel safe getting off my vehicle at night to use the ATM since the walk up ones are both not well lit up. Even the drive thru ATMs make me a little nervous to use at night because it's also not very well lit up. So I'm constantly checking my surroundings. As soon as I walk through the door there is always someone there to greet me. They have 3 automatic tellers available if you don't want to wait in line to talk to anyone face to face. I'm able to pull out money from these and they're quick and so convenient. When these first came out I had someone help and guide me on using them which was great because now I don't ever have to wait in line again. read more

This branch has the worst customer service compared to other branches. The tellers look unhappy and annoyed. They don't want to go out if their way to help you. Forget trying to stand up to grab change from the back or anything else a customer might need. They actually told me they don't have any more than $100 in $5 bills in the entire bank. IN THE ENTIRE BANK! I call that bull sh**! They Couldn't be bothered to help a customer. I am in the process of applying for a loan RE-finance with Chase but I think I'm going to withdraw the application considering how horrible their service is. I go here to make cash payments on my Chase credit card. What's great is it's usually posted at the end of the business day or the next day. I don't use them for banking because lol it's a bank and I belong to the best credit union EVER (no, not Nuvision which is next door) where there are no fees, no hidden fees, etc etc. Anyway, the few times I've been here, service has been relatively prompt and friendly. No complaints. Parking is easy, this place seems empty most of the times I come (weekday mornings). read more

I usually never go inside the bank to make a deposit but the line for the ATM outside was ridiculous long and it was freezing cold. I decided to go inside and there was no one in front of me in the line yet I had to wait 15 minutes before someone could help me. Slightly ridiculous considering how many of the employees were there. On June 21, 2022, around 1:30pm, I contacted Quoc Nguyen (714) xxx - 4616 to make an appointment. He didn't pick up the phone. I left a message for him about an hour after he didn't call back. I came to the branch to request to see him to make an appointment. One employee contact him and told me that he was busy and would contact me regarding my needs. However, he never calls me back. I was a customer with Washing Mutual and transferred to Chase for more than 33 years, and never saw any employee look like him. He was not a respectful customer, not mannered and unprofessional. He needs to be sent to customer service class for more training on how to service. Zero star for him!!! read more

The day I opened my account my credit card (which was American Express and the only person besides me who saw it was the banker who opened the account-it was a brand new card) was stolen- and the person tried to spend $1,700 on clothing. Coincidence? Nope apparently it's happens here before. I have plenty of money in my account (several hundred $$ over what the account required) and they shut down my checking account. Dropped by here to grab some cash around 8:00PM, but found out that the right ATM was out. The light was off except the fluorescent trim around the ATM, but that was not an immediate indicator that the ATM Was out of service. Why didn't they put up a sign or stick some notice that it was out of order? After wasting several minutes of my time I went to wait in line for the ATM on the left side. There didn't appear to be any mirror like how the other branches have for their ATMs. I mean, you would want to know if someone's coming up behind you while you're taking your cash right? I didn't feel safe at this ATM and there weren't many lights either, so a bad guy could easily be hiding in the bushes or tree nearby. Other branches at least have an inside lobby you can get into with ATMs, so you don't have to keep looking behind your back, worrying if someone's going to mug you. Daytime is okay, but at night, be aware of shadows lurking in the dark. read more

Stay away from this unethical and misleading bank, especially be cautious with the guy name Alberto Perez ( branch manager) today I came in just simple withdraw 9.5k for new year expense, the teller took long time for approval from her manager Alberto Perez and i was fine with that. However, the guy Alberto warned and tried to cheat me that if I withdraw my money within six months from the time opening then the bank will take back the bonus 125 from my account which is totally wrong compared to the disclosure i received from when opening account and from their chase.com. This guy did that on the purpose to stop me from withdraw money from my account and without shame of himself he ran away when I asked him to proved to me of what he said. Always go to this Chase when working in Huntington Beach. However today I came across an issue with my account and went into the branch to resolve the issue. The teller was visiting from another branch and was being incredibly rude so I asked to speak to the Branch manager Alberto. He was even more rude and claimed they didn't care to fix the issues with my account and said I'm just going to close your account and then there want be any issues. I've already spoken to corporate about this incident, but I am so upset I decided I should write on yelp about it. What if my mother had gone to chase to fix a little issue with her account and they just decide to close her account instead of dealing with the issue they caused? Although it is true that Chase does seem to charge for everything, they did help me out pretty good with my account. I had INFINITY car insurance back in 2010 around april and I stopped with them. However they kept taking monthy payments out of my account and they never stopped. I made phone calls I sent letters etc.. I got help from the manager himself at the Huntington beach chase bank. Seriously? I have been here on multiple occasions and each time I leave telling myself I will never return. Having worked in a bank for over 3 years I understand that things happen daily that workers cannot control, things happen that cause lines to back up. But with my two experiences here, it is clear the staff was not doing the best that they could to expedite customer experience in their branch. My first visit here was to get some temporary checks and change my address since I had just moved to the area. They do get a kudos for having a sign in sheet for those needing banker assistance, but the kudos ends there. A 20 minute wait to speak with a banker is simply unacceptable. But unfortunately it gets worse from there. The banker quickly got my info changed in the system, but who knew that getting checks would be so difficult. I asked for a blank page of temp checks and he got up from his seat to pick them up from behind the teller line. A simple task like this should take about 2 minutes. Well, 10 minutes later I am still sitting there twittling my thumbs, not to mention anxious to get the hell out of the bank. I see him standing aimlessly behind the teller line and hop over to ask what is going on. He comes out and informs me that he has been looking for the check paper and they were out. The courteous thing he could have done is go and tell me as soon as this happened so I knew what was going on, but he chose to leave me in the dark. Fortunately he offered to print me a cashier's check which I appreciated. But again - a task that should have only taken a few minutes bled into another 15 minute wait. Once again - I had to get up and find him. He tried to justify the time by showing me the checks printed on the incorrect paper. I didn't care I just wanted my checks. Just yesterday, I came in again to issue a cashier's check. It was about 5:15 and the line was about 5 people deep. I looked around the branch and saw only 2 teller windows open (who for some reason were moving extra slow) and a few bankers desks occupied. As I waited I looked around and noticed that there were some bankers that were not busy with clients, rather looked like they were meeting amongst themselves. I am sure that whatever they were speaking about was important - however in my experience when the lines aren't moving and continue to grow until they hit the doors you stop what you are doing and help those in the line. They could have easily plucked people out of the line to teach them how to use the 4 new automated teller stations, or simply taken them to their desk to run their deposits - but they didn't. Exactly 17 minutes later I finally reached the teller line. As I waited for the teller to draft my check I watched what the other tellers were doing. I noticed them multitasking while helping clients. One teller in particular was in the process of balancing her drawers WHILE a customer was standing in front of her window. At one point the customer asked, "What money is that? That's not mine." Really? You are working with sensitive client information and money - is this appropriate? No wonder each transaction was taking longer than it needed to. There are plenty of Chase branches out there, I will be finding a new one in the near future. read more

This is the only Chase location I know that has really wonderful customer service but at the same time they are not too pushy and way too over the top friendly. Even when the lines are short I always get someone coming up to me offering to help or apologizing for the wait.
