You can tell they actually care, not just about the job, but about the experience. Max, the project manager, was amazing. He gave me a very calm and reassuring feeling from day one, explained every step of the process clearly, and kept everything organized and on track. That kind of communication is rare in this industry. The quality of the work came out great, and the whole process was smooth with no stress. On top of that, their pricing is very fair and reasonable for the level of work they deliver, which is something I really appreciated. At that meeting, we were told we needed to install flooring under the cabinets. After speaking with a contracting friend and two other companies, everyone said that was incorrect. This led me to doubt their professional knowledge and expertise. After the initial meeting, everything started going by the wayside. They missed appointments, were hard to get a hold of, and changed their story. We went from picking out materials to needing another appointment for the contractor to see the home. During the second appointment for measuring and seeing the home, they "measured" by measuring at an extreme angle. The contractor, in charge of demolishing our kitchen, demonstrated no knowledge in how to properly measure (it was NOT an area needing an angle to measure). That was concerning. They also didn't know the business hours of their own vendors. When we decided not to continue with FC Construction, they were honorable in giving us a refund. But when we called to remind them, the owner told us the refund was in the process. The next day, the main company line called and asked for our refund information to issue a refund. So it being "processing" was a lie. I didn't trust them to start any work, so I have no idea how their work is. But I wouldn't recommend based on the many red flags mentioned above. Kind people, though.

Fred did a spectacular job replacing my clunky over the range microwave/hood with a sleek new hood…read more The job turned out to be more complicated than expected because of several issues - some extensive cutting through my cabinets to make room for the new hood, no studs in my wall where they needed to be, a pipe being behind the wall where the screws needed to go, the vent on my new hood not matching the one in my house. I think a lot of people who are less experienced than Fred might have given up or would not have been able to complete the work. Fred is so creative and was able to come up with an elegant solution to each of the problems that came up during the job. He is very communicative and was clear at every step along the way. Because of these issues, the job took longer than expected but Fred made sure that it was completely correctly regardless! Not only that, he went above and beyond. He pointed out that the stop gap on my sink should face towards the sink in case of overflows, and even helped me out to take apart an ice machine bucket that I had been struggling with for weeks due to a stripped screw. I would highly recommend Fred for any job that you have. He is not only creative and experienced at what he does, but is also very friendly, kind, and honest. My job occurred during covid times, and he made sure to wear gloves and a mask as he worked as well. If you have a job, definitely reach out to him! There's almost nothing he cannot do :)

Eduardo does NOT: * Tell the truth * Work well with other contractors, even those who recommended him. * Provide accurate and reliable quotes, estimates with itemization. * Keep his word. Eduardo DOES: * Talk a good line * Argue * Cut corners to save a buck for himself * Whine * Want a good review on google. We hired Eduardo to repair roof and ceiling. Quote included tarping roof to prevent leaks. Roof leaked not once but three times, damaging plaster ceiling and wood trim. He showed no concern for two over 70-year-olds on roof in the dark and rain tarping roof with our own tarp, or to the damage to our house, plaster ceiling and floors and trim. His response: "It wasn't supposed to rain." We were left with cleaning up their mess and hiring a reliable contractor. Could go on with more details. Have plenty of pictures if needed. I thought it was small so I proceeded to put a large bucket underneath and left for a couple of hours. When I returned the bucket had overfilled and there was water on my kitchen floor!! I turned off the water and that helped a bit but it was still leaking. I called around and Eddie was able to come the same day because he just so happened to be in the area. He provided a free in-person estimate which seemed very fair. Especially given the fact that it was an emergency. The entire hot water valve needed to be replaced because it was so old. He immediately got to work and took a trip to Home Depot to grab the parts needed. Unfortunately, it also turned out that my dishwasher had the wrong type of water line so I approved for him to replace that as well. He took a second trip to Home Depot for that part!
