My previous surgeon who had removed a cyst from my L4/5 spine wouldn't even get me in for an appointment for almost two months. My chiropractor, Dr. Price, at MVMT chiropractic text Dr. Badlani and they had me in for an appointment within a day. Dr Badlani recommended LTIF surgery which he was able to schedule for the following week provided my insurance would give the pre-authorizaton in time for the surgery. This is where Cheryl went into action. She was able to provide all documents to the insurance and get the approval accomplished in just two days. The surgery was performed at a small private hospital instead of a large more crowded hospital. I did my post op PT at Dr. Badlani's location at Orthopedic Sports medicine and again they handled all of the insurance filing so I could just concentrate on my health and recovery. 8 weeks post surgery and I have great results. I can't thank Dr. Badlani, Cheryl and the entire staff enough for showing compassion and efficiency in helping me with my entire situation.

For example if I was in the shower and closed my eyes I would start leaning and unless I opened my eyes and grabbed onto something I would fall down. This got worse and worse. I sought help and was referred to Dr. Meyer. It turned out that I had a severe stenosis in my neck. Dr. Meyer performed an operation in which he came in through my throat and installed two clip-like spacers to separate two of the vertebra. He took some bone from my hip and grafted into the area of repair. He also came in through the back of my neck, from the scar it looks like he did most of the work from there. It's been over a year now and ever since the operation I no longer start leaning and falling. Aside from the normal post-operative recuperation I have had absolutely zero pain and have not taken one pain med. I have full range of motion with my neck. Sometimes when I tuck my chin down I can feel something inside but that's about the only thing I notice from the operation. Dr. Meyer has an excellent bedside manner. You can tell he enjoys his work in making people's lives better. The staff and nurses were great also. I never had any problems making follow-up appointments. Surgeons are like anyone else. There's good ones and then there are really good ones, and Dr. Meyer is really good at wat he does.

This was my third spine surgery and I hope this will be my last. It's 5 months today since my surgery, it was a very painful experience but well worth it. I have my life back and that is priceless, I can stand up straight and walk normal for the first time in a long time. This guy is a top notch surgeon who is one of the best in his field.
