In the end, he instructed to technician to leave my home without honoring the warranty and completing the repair. Horrible business and a complete lack of professionalism. I support black business, but this isn't one worthy of that support.

I used Midwest Mortuary for the second time recently when my mother passed away. I remembered how helpful Midwest Mortuary was in handling my father's funeral, so I referred my brother to Midwest as I no longer live in the area. My mother did not have a plot and had not chosen any place to be buried. Midwest worked with my brother to choose a cemetery, tracked down the information needed, and helped arrange everything for the funeral. It was held in the small chapel at Skyline Memorial in Monee. A muted pinkish coffin was chosen, and when I saw it in person I was very happy and impressed with how beautiful it looked--yet my daughter told me it was the cheapest one, but she knew that her grandmother would have loved the color. My brother ordered the flowers for on top of the casket through Midwest and they were absolutely beautiful as well. My mother looked lovely and peaceful. We had my mother's pastor say a few words in the chapel to the family only, and then moved outside due to COVID times for any other guests. Midwest kept everything moving along smoothly, and once again I was grateful for Midwest's help. Again, it was an expense as most funerals are, but not as expensive as it could have been--yet everything looked beautiful and top quality. The cost for everything including the plot, burial, headstone, service, embalming, coffin, flowers, death certificates, prayer cards and guest book--anything else that I am leaving out--was approximately $12,000. Midwest will also allow you to pre-plan a funeral which isn't a bad idea so you can make choices when you are not feeling emotional. I am very happy that my brother ended up going with Midwest as he didn't know where to begin, and Midwest guided him through the process.

They made the transition from infant to toddler room as easy as possible and were so patient with us (first time mom over here). They handled incidents with care and sensitivity - things do happen but Premier handled the incidents carefully and were always transparent. All of the teachers, aids, and office staff know the kids so well. My son lights up when we walk in and the front desk staff greet him everyday like he's royalty!! There were multiple times when my son came home with small marks on his face, and I was not given an explanation as to how they kept occurring. After I brought these concerns to the center's attention, those incidents appeared to stop. While I appreciate that the concern was addressed once it was brought forward, it added to my overall concern regarding my son's safety and supervision while in their care.My biggest concern was my son's head injury and the response following the incident. After reviewing the video, I became concerned about what occurred and how the situation was documented by the teacher.The incident report written by my son's teacher, stated that my son started to hit her and that she raised her hands to stop him, which caused him to fall. However, after reviewing the video, that is not what occurred.What the video showed was my son running up to the teacher in a playful manner. He placed his hand on her stomach area, appearing as though he wanted to be picked up, and his hand was there for only a moment or two when then Ms.karlie grabbed both of his hands, my son slightly leaned back, and she then let go of both of his hands while staring directly at him . There was no attempt to even try to catch him as he was falling backwards. As an adult supervising a young child, I would expect that a 39 pound child's weight shifting backward would be noticeable, especially while holding onto their hands. This is why I was concerned that his hands were released while he was leaning back, resulting in him falling backward and hitting the back of his head causing a shell to pierce through his head and bleed. The video did not show my son being aggressive or attempting to hit her, and it did not show her raising her hands to block him as described in the report she wrote .After he fell, the video showed my son crying holding his head and walking back toward the teacher to be consoled. What was concerning to me was that his head was not immediately checked after the fall, and staff did not appear to realize that he had a bleeding injury until later. As a parent, I would expect an immediate assessment after a child hits the back of their head as well as me being directly notified of an head injury that involved him falling straight back on his head. What was most concerning to me was that, after the owner reviewed the information, she did not acknowledge the discrepancy between what the teacher stated and the video or address my concerns regarding the inaccurate account that had been documented by the teacher. This made me feel that the seriousness of the situation and the impact of an inaccurate report involving my child were not fully recognized. I was also concerned when my son came home telling me that his hair "looked crazy." While this may seem like a small comment, it raised concerns for me as a parent because I wondered where my 2 year heard that and whether comments were being made about his appearance while he was at school.Recently, my son has also started crying at drop off. The concerns I experienced, including the incident report and the comment regarding his hair, made me question whether my son's individuality and differences were being fully respected while in their care.I contacted the center regarding my deposit and explained that, due to the incident, I did not feel comfortable keeping my child their for the required two-week notice period . I reached out to discuss receiving my deposit back, but I never received a response back or any follow-up regarding my request from the owner.As a parent, my child's safety and being able to trust the people caring for him are my top priorities. Unfortunately, this experience left me feeling unheard and uncomfortable continuing care at this center

I am not being hyperbolic when I say that this is the best company I have ever worked with for…read moreanything, ever. We tested for radon and though the level was not above 4.0 where the EPA would highly suggest (and probably enforce if they could) that a radon mitigation system be installed, it was reaching levels of 3.5 with overall averages of 2.5-2.7 and never going below 1.7 and this during the summer where radon levels measure lower than they do in winter months. Because there is no absolute safe level of radon exposure, and because we have an in-law living space in the basement where small children also spend a lot of time (their little developing lungs are even more vulnerable to radon exposure damage), we decided to get professional advice and were leaning toward installation of a reduction system. I tried reaching a company closer to our location, left several messages because they did not answer their calls, and sent a request for help on their website and no one ever contacted me. Finally I decided to call American Radon Systems. The owner, Bill, came to my home within hours of my first call. I was so relieved. He saw the readings I was getting on my radon monitor but did not try to sell me a thing because he wanted to make sure, first, that my older monitor was actually working correctly and recommended I purchase another reliable monitor because he was not wanting us to have to handle a non-existent issue. I appreciated that. We got the new monitor which was not very expensive and tested again. It was syncing up with the other one closely enough that we still decided to go through with the install. Bill is very knowledgeable, friendly, kind, and not pushy -- just straightforward, compassionate and easy-going. We scheduled 2 weeks out and continued to monitor. At one point we wondered if we were overreacting or if we should try other less expensive fixes like improving ventilation, looking for other leaks for radon entry, etc. because I misunderstood what he told me in our initial consultation and thought the procedure would be more invasive than it was, requiring cutting through remodeled spaces, etc., and contacted Bill on the very day the system was to be installed to communicate our reservations. He was so professional! He handled all of my concerns. They came to our home and were so courteous about taking care not to disrupt or dirty our space. They covered the floors, vacuumed all messes made, never left one speck of dirt or any garbage. Jose, the installation tech, was excellent, knowledgeable, diligent, efficient, and practically walked on cat's feet. We were afraid that the install on the outside of the house would be unsightly -- not at all. It blends right in. Anyway...I know this is long but I feel the entire process is important, and not just the final result. The final result: The radon system is basically silent and attractive. Our average radon levels are now measuring 0.8 and as I write this, the level is 0.6. The outside average is 0.4 so we're thrilled! Thank you, Bill and team. You're the best!
