I just wasted my time coming to the Parts Authority store and I even drove out of my route…read more Stepping inside, I see the line up front and a lady taking care of customer , she's behind the counter. There's 2 guys in the back behind the counter. They let me stand on line until it was my turn and she asks, how can I help you, I told her what I needed. After I finished telling her what I needed she asks me if I ordered it. I said no, she them told me to go to the back and order it from one of the gentleman behind that counter. I told the gentleman that she on the what I needed, he's asking me what color is it. He says is it red , I say yes. He says it looks red but it's purple and I don't have what you need, go to the dealer. My sole purpose for going to the auto part store was so I wouldn't have to go to the dealer. Well this Auto parts store called, Parts Authority, can't supply what I need at the time do I don't see the need to return for fear it will be another wasted trip. But still... Inspire more, Yelp more!

When the dealership of the company that built your ride tells you "that part is discontinued" --…read moredont go trying to chase it down elsewhere as i spent three days last week doing. And no, that does not include keystrokes and dial pad time -- all that did was further solidify aftermarket companies kookie ways of manufacturing a discontinued part and calling it anything they darn well please. Parts stores couldn't get the original equipment manufacturer (oem) part but had the aftermarket part (AKA: a crap knockoff that's not gonna work). So I scurrying around the once reliable junkies (junkyards) from far and wide and that proved fruitless and wasteful time treading roadways. Kenny at the Parts Authority found the upper coolant hose and housing, it was made by Dorman, my aftermarket nemesis and lifetime auto enemy who has totally screwed me before, so I bought it. I have to rant a sec, "Dorrman, y'all stink!" There, I feel better now, but I'll still continue to poke fun at your name and products and curse the ground your parts travel on. I'd call you Dopeman, but I do enjoy a little nip from time to time so for now, only for a very short Jimmy Crack Corn of time -- your safe, for now. Kenny worked so hard on my behalf and got me the best pricing, but he was unaware of this part description reconditioning and part number massaging. I found it on Flea-Bay tho at a higher price and in far worse condition--thank ya very much.
