My cats are my babies and I am extremely picky who I let care for them. The level of care Alexia gives my cats is above and beyond. I feel comfortable knowing if I'm away the cats are in good hands. Alexia also does rescue in our community and has a heart bigger than most. She is a true animal lover and caretaker. I feel extremely blessed to have her and her employees care for my Stanley and Athena. If you have high standards like I do - you will not be disappointed. read more

EXTREMELY RUDE!!! After a couple email exchanges that were over the top uncompassionate I knew Alexia was not someone I would ever want to meet and especially would NEVER want around my fur babies. I never write reviews. But when it comes to pets I felt I needed to say something to warn others. I blocked her and keep her site in my bookmarks just so I NEVER make the mistake of contacting her again for anything ever. read more

ALEXIA VULLIS IS EXTREMELY RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL. I filled out a pet adoption form with her and upon finding out I was a young female who owns two cats, she made up a "two cat rule" to reject me. She also displayed a rude demeanor by calling me a "real asshole" and impulsive. This is a serious discrimination. I believe that any business, especially one dealing with our beloved pets, should uphold principles of respect, understanding, and fairness. This is NOT the place I want to do business with and would advise any potential clients to consider other more professional options. read more

Alexia and her crew are amazing. We were recommended to NYCPN by our previous walker. Alexia is professional, flexible, and highly reliable. Over the last 3 years we have never had an issue. Each day a note is left regarding the walk. Our dog is a bit older and needs some extra care and we fully trust Alexia to care for her. Also, Alexia does an amazing job rescuing and fostering cats until they find their forever home. Highly recommend her service. read more

Happy to say that NYC Pet Nanny has been taking care of Perci and Schroeder for 6 years now. Carolina is our regular walker and also a cherished member of our family. When she isn't available Alexia sends another walker and they are all great. We trust them with our fur family. Sometimes Carolina brings her dog Lola to visit and we love her too. Highly recommended!!! Reasonable, reliable, and they really care about pets. read more

NYC Pet Nanny - Carolina with Perci and Lola - Dog Walkers Near Me - Astoria, New York

What would I do without NYC Pet Nanny?! Seriously, you all rock and truly appreciate the help. Alexia has created such a wonderful walking service, I've been with them for a little over 4 years now and continue to be impressed by the level of service they provide and the professionalism of each walker. I've had two walkers for my fur baby, we started with Celia and now have Carolina as our designated walker. Both Celia and Carolina are very patient, loving and really professional. They truly love what they do and it shows by the wonderful updates I receive and the love/attention they give Elsa. I trust them wholeheartedly and know my fur baby is always in good hands with both of them. If you're in need of a dog walking service, then I highly recommend NYCPN - hands down! They'll provide a one on one walk for your pup, ensure they get a ton of love and attention and simply give you peace of mind. Thanks ladies!! read more

I had several great experiences with Alexia. However, last time she embarrassed me by insinuating she'd never been to my apartment and of course didn't have my keys (she had, I have an email record of her watching the cats in this apt). No big deal, I don't care about keys, just don't like being told I'm not accurate when I'm looking at proof. She says she must see my new place before watching them which is responsible and absolutely fine (even though I have pictures of her with the cats here!). I had offered to drop off her keys. She cancelled visiting the place 3x. She ended up having me toss the keys into her car while she waited at the curb the next morning. She purchased a NEW litter scoop Bc she claimed my repurposed kitchen scoop was somehow offensive or unusable. It's works the same. This took 10 texts back and forth with her claiming not to see a huge metal slotted spoon next to her tip and the food. I guess it was that offensive I don't use a plastic scoop? So she bought me something I don't use. I haven't used to sense. After all this I still wanted to thank her and did so and wrote and texted her. No response. My friends uses Alexis also and says she's becoming increasingly judgmental. read more

NYC Pet Nanny is a responsible and dependable pet service that we are so grateful for. We've been with them a little under two years after leaving another walking service in the area that proved to be irresponsible more than once. Alexia makes every effort to make sure our pup is well taken care of. Our current walker Sarah communicates clearly after every walk and we know our pup is in good hands! We recommend this team to anyone who is looking for a trustworthy pet service. Huge thanks to these wonderful humans looking out for our furry family members! read more

We absolutely love Vanessa our dog walker. I am home sometimes when she comes and seeing my dog's excitement when Vanessa arrives says it all!! Vanessa is so loving and patient. My dog San can be a bit stubborn and is also going blind so she refuses to walk sometimes. She needs a lot of positive reinforcement. Vanessa always manages to make her walk. She gives San a lot of affection and encouraging words. We are so grateful for the way she's taking care of San. We've been working with NYC Pet Nanny for more than three years now. Alexia has a great team of walkers and I would definitely recommend using her services for your dog if your looking for reliable and professional walkers. read more

Gus has been with NYC Pet Nanny since he was 8 weeks old. When he was a puppy they would come and do in-home visits before he could go outside. Since then he has been walked with NYC Pet Nanny!! Alexia and the women that work for her are always so patient, dependable and great with the pups. Sarah is a Gus's walker and she is an awesome walker. Gus just loves her. It is so helpful to know we have a dependable, fun walker who we know loves Gus! Huge Shout out to Sarah!!!!! Thank you for all of your patience with Gussy!! read more

Extremely rude. I asked about a cat that looked awfully like a cat we took care of that went missing a few weeks back. When texting one of the employees they asked how the cat went missing. I explained that the cat was feral and we took care of it feeding it, providing shelter etc. Their response was "You don't let cats out EVER. You gambled and you lost." Regardless in any circumstance it seems quite rude to say that to someone grieving a missing cat. read more

I'm very picky about who I let walk my dog. She's a puppy mill survivor with fear issues and doesn't do well with strangers walking her. Alexia went above and beyond to make my Gemma comfortable with her. I trust her 150% with my dog and in my home. She's very kind and it's clear she loves all furkids. My foster cats adore her as well. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a local, reliable animal lover to look after your fuzzy kids! read more

Alexia took great care with me and my cat! It was a business relationship, with real bonified respect, attention to detail and sometimes coming to my rescue! When I had a family emergency and had to fly out the next day, she made sure my cat, Don, would be ok, and reassured me, because I had enough on my mind. She built a genuine raport with Don, they were buddies. I started calling Alexia his "girlfriend". He was so mellow around her and comfortable. I recommend NYC Pet Nanny without reservation! read more

I have two cats, and one of them is ex-feral, and so he has some unusual peeing habits (he prefers to do his peeing on puppy pee pads!) This same cat also has some intestinal issues, and so he needs to have a different canned food from my other cat. Both cats also eat very quickly, and so their feedings have to be 'paced', with three portions given to them a few minutes apart. So my point is, my cat care requires a bit of regimen. After losing my prior cat sitter (whom I'd had for years and was the best!), I looked around on Yelp and decided to go with NYC Pet Nanny, and after an in-person meeting with Alexia at my home. She is very personable, and what I liked was that as I was talking her through the routine for my cats, at one point she seemed almost 'frustrated' with the detail I was giving her, and she then asked me more questions...so in other words, I got the strong sense that she wanted to be sure she was getting everything right. (Some other cat sitters might have just 'yes'd' me to death, and ignored all the detail I was giving them as 'overkill'. But I got the sense that Alexia really wanted to abide by any detail that I might give her.) During my week's holiday, she would text me now and then to let me know that my cats were doing well. I was happy to hear from her and know that she was keeping me updated on things, while at the same time her communication was not overkill. (It so happens I'm not a fan of pet sitters sending daily messages of 'I fed your cat, changed his litter, played with him', etc. I don't need such messages, as to me that should all be understood. ;-) ...and like most people, I have a hard enough time managing all the other texts/emails I receive each day.... I also asked Alexia if she could water my balcony plants while I was away (for an extra fee of course). She said she could do so, as long as I left her detailed instructions (which I did). And while Alexia admitted to not having a green thumb, I came home to find all my plants in great shape, which again signified that Alexia indeed follows whatever direction you give to her. I was actually more concerned about all my balcony plants (which are like my 'babies') than I was about my cats, but Alexia came through for me! I will surely use her services again! read more

Alexia and her team have been walking our dog, Indi, for nearly 2 years now, and I am convinced we hit the jackpot of all dog walker services. She is professional, discrete, dependable, and communicative. Indi adored her from the first day they met. We've had great experiences with every walker, but our main walker Bridget has especially been a joy to work with - it's always nice to come home to a sweet notebook entry about Indi's walk. She and Alexia have consistently gone above and beyond standard duties, including: - Procuring a key to my apartment when I was locked out - Eliminating fire risks - Cleaning up/checking on a sick Indi - Managing chewed shoe situations - Being first responders to a very unfortunate Roomba accident Alexia is amazing and we're always so relieved knowing that she ensures both her dogs AND her walkers are cared for - she's come over to walk Indi in blizzards before, when her walkers were off and we had to work. I cannot recommend her enough! read more

All of the other reviews are correct- Alexia and her team are the best dog walkers I could ever ask for! She's so reliable, accommodating, and professional. Alexia has been walking our little Jack Russel, Charlie, for over a month and I have never seen him so happy- he really loves her so much! As we had never had a dog walker before, my boyfriend and I were a little hesitant at first; but now we couldn't be more at easy. We know that he is in the best hands when he is with Alexia. If you have a pet that needs care when you aren't home- DEFINITELY choose NYC Pet Nanny!! read more

Where do I begin .... I can't say enough about Alexia ... She is professional, reliable, thorough, and detailed!! We never used a cat sitting service before.. This was our first time , with a cat sitter other than a family member (which we have always used in the past) I needed someone trustworthy & caring, and we found that with Alexia. We received updates, and pictures daily throughout our entire vacation. She put our mind at ease and followed through with all our requests!! I can go on and on , on how Amazing she is !! If there were 20 stars , I'd give her 21 stars !! She's is the best Cat Sitter, in Queens , New York.. hands down!!!! read more

We have used Alexia several times over the last year. Sometimes at short notice. We travel regularly and she is very thorough. Alexia came to our house to introduce herself and get to know Velcro before her first visit. She has always been very communicative, lets us know if there are any problems, which has not been often and she is also capable of solving those problems in the moment. This is especially important when we are traveling as we are sometimes in remote spots without service. She is very oriented towards the care of your pet and I would be happy to recommend her. read more

Alexia is the best! We've been using her since we moved to Astoria over 2 years ago - she has always helped out even last minute and referring us to fellow sitters when she herself could not accommodate. She's been great with all of our foster kitties and understanding of their various situations and set ups , helpful is taking and post pics too! She's reliable and easy to communicate with via email or text . Very responsive and prompt. If we ever got a dog would use her company for sure ! She will send updates and photos to ease any concerns. She saved the day when one of our bathrooms sprung a bad leak!- what a life saver we could have come home to a flood and she was able to wait for our landlord to come fix it. A++ read more

We absolutely love our dog walker! Celia takes our 11 year old dog for walks and even plays and/or hangs out with him when he goes for a short walk. He clearly loves her because he goes nuts when he hears her coming. read more

Alexia and her team have been caring for my pup for about 8 years now and I couldn't be happier with her service. Recently Mugsy suffered an injury and requires a little extra care and monitoring. NYC Pet Nanny has been caring for our pets for the last 6 years and we could not be happier! Carolina walks our pup five times per week and stays overnight with our furry team when we are away. She has truly become part of our family. In fact, Carolina is so important to us she was the witness at our wedding ceremony. The few times that Carolina has been unavailable, other members of the NYC Pet Nanny team have cared for our pets and we have been so happy and so grateful--every single time. I can't recommend them highly enough! read more

Carolina has been a constant in my dog's life since we moved to Astoria. SHE has been with them through good and bad weather, through sickness and health. Claudia is great! Super kind and punctual. Recently I had to work from home because of foot surgery, and every day I could see how happy and excited Bosco was when she arrived: his wagging tail and wigglin' butt says it all! If he's happy, I'm happy :) read more

We have been with nyc pet nanny for the last 2+months and we couldn't be happier. Alexia has been very helpful and reliable from the very beginning. I was very excited to try out Alexia after reading all these positive reviews. I sent an email via her website and waited a week without a response. I called her number. The first time, it seemed to pick up and then hang up. I figure I'll call again and leave a voicemail. That was Monday. It's now Friday and she hasn't called back. If she's not available, that's fine, but to not have any response over nearly 2 weeks and 3 contact attempts is incredibly unprofessional. read more

The BEST pet sitters/walkers!! I have 4 pets (2 big dogs, 2 cats), and Alexia (and her crew) will be the only ones I trust with their care. She really cares about the pets and works with you to get the best schedule for them. I recently fostered a dog from the ACC and Alexia and Val were so helpful in getting him adoption ready. Both of my dogs are excited to see her when we pass on the street. She does a fantastic job in a very exhausting business. Her rates are extremely reasonable for what she does. She's very open to any questions you have. Highly Highly recommend! read more

NYC Pet Nanny is easily the best pet care service in the Northern Queens area. All of their dog walkers are super attentive to the pups and leave detailed notes each day on what went on during their walks. Alexia makes sure the pups always come first and goes out of her way to accommodate each customer. Angelica is my dog's personal walker, and she genuinely loves him just as much as he loves her. NYC Pet Nanny has cared for our dog for about 6 months, and they've been consistently reliable and caring, even accommodating last minute changes when needed. I have been using NYC pet nanny dog walking services for a few months since moving to a new neighborhood and am very pleased. Alexia is professional, responds very quickly to emails, texts, and is flexible with our schedule. On several occasions I have called her in a bind asking if she would swing by and walk our dog and she has squeezed her in despite that fact that we may not have scheduled a walk for that day. That is a huge help to me. I also found her to be trustworthy and never had any doubts about letting her into our home while we are out. She is responsive to any requests that we have as far as what we need for our pup that day whether it's a long walk or taking her to play with others at the dog run. I initially found her on craigslist and have been pleasantly surprised. Our previous dog walker came recommended from several other pet owners in the neighborhood but alexia was also able to provide several references. Our dog sems to love her too! I highly recommend her. read more

Alexia has watched my cat just about every time I've gone out of town for the past couple years. Unfortunately for me and kitty, she is now concentrating only on the Astoria neighborhood (no more Sunnyside!), so we have to find a replacement. The new petsitter will have big shoes to fill. My cat is extremely skittish around strangers and new people, but it didn't take her very long to get comfortable around Alexia. As months went by, my cat came out of her shell enough to play with Alexia and eventually let Alexia pet her--very rare for anyone who is not me or my husband. Alexia was also great about getting our mail for us. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a great petsitter in Astoria! read more
