To give just 5 stars is not enough, they deserve 100 of them. Let me tell you that I've been seeing doctors for years and got used to chronic pain as noone could fix it, but Dr. Greuner diagnosed the problem within 5min of my appointment. I had an AVM surgery. He showed me every scan of my arteries and explained everything clearly. I felt calm before my surgery only thanks to him. This is the best care and treatment you can get, not just in New York, but worldwide. I came from Europe to specially see dr. Greuner and glad I did. No wonder he is ranked as top 5 doctors in the world. He is so carrying, knowledgeable and genuinely an amazing person. The staff and dr. Tonis were so friendly and welcoming, they took the time to explain everything in detail and answered all the questions that I had. They followed up after the procedure to make sure everything was good with me before my traveling back to Europe. They don't just treat you, they make sure you leave their office healthy, pain free and with a smile on your face. I can't thank you enough how you changed my life. I had my procedure to put in stents to treat my May-Thurners Syndrome which was found at my last venogram. I had my Stents put in on December 13th and another follow up venogram to check on them on December 27th. Both procedures went as smooth as the last 2. I just went in last Friday (1/24) for a follow up sonogram, and everything was looking good. I will be having more surgeries in March/April and I know I'm in good hands. Finding NYC Surgical (especially Dr. Bortecen) has changed my life. I'll post another update after my next round of procedures. read more

I went to the Roslyn office which was very clean and the receptionists were very nice. I saw Dr Bortecen to have some spider veins reHe was perfect: on time, caring, explained everything, was very experienced. He took his time. I would highly recommend him. I went there from a Groupon that I received for varicose veins. I went there the passivity is very nice very clean the staff is very friendly. The one thing I did find was that they kept pushing to have bins removed from my legs even though I have a nerve condition in my legs. After having veins removed it said off the RSD in my leg, which took months for it to calm back down again. When I saw my neurologist he was very upset stating that no one should performed vein removals with someone with my condition. I felt like they pushed me doing the procedures just because of my insurance. I did recently see a new physician, Dr Lee Schulman in Manhassett. At no time did he pushed me to have procedures to have veins removed from my legs. He sat down and explained the difference between having injections to collapse the veins compared to veins being removed from the legs. His staff is excellent very professional and I highly recommend seeing him first you won't be disappointment. Professional all the way and cares about your personal health over the dollar. read more

Update: it is now 3 years since this procedure -I suspect that like most people I was drawn in by a Groupon for sclerotherapy. Unfortunately once there I was told I had "faulty valves " which I suspect is told to a lot of people who go there. It than went through my insurance which was charged thousands . This of course is advantageous to their office as it would've been about a little over $200 using Groupon to just get the sclerotherapy. To add insult to injury I had an ablation recommended and during a follow up visit it was discovered it had failed. I was than told I would have to go into Manhattan to get some larger pelvic vein ablated. I was not happy at this point as I had started treatment in March and been stuck hundreds of times . I'd had a trip to Disney during which in the sweltering heat I was afraid to expose my legs still scarred because I'd been told the discoloration would remain . Sadly 3 years later the area where the tube had been inserted for the ablation and which had remained a blueish tinge now has a large spider vein and discoloration . As a person with MS who doesn't tolerate heat well all I'd wanted was to be able to wear shorts in the hot weather . Now i am looking at the veins on my legs looking progressively worse. I had felt bad to leave an unfavorable review being that Dr. Arnos was nice but sadly I don't feel comfortable wearing shorts and it's only been 3 years and this started almost immediately after treatment . I can ill afford to go somewhere else to be treated and am now stuck like this . So please do your research before having these procedures done . I have also added pics so you can see. read more

I am unhappy with the results of my sclero, or rather the lack of results. The dr seemed really great at first, so attentive and with a crazy attention to detail. He did spots that weren't even part of the 2 main spot that I came for, so I couldn't be happier. I came home all marked up, but didn't care, that was temporary. I came the second time for the follow up and expected great results. I didn't see much improvement, if any, on my two main spots of concern. I gave it time, weeks they say, but nothing, it looks just as bad as before. The worst part is that he said if I need to come back for a follow up that it would be over $300, and he made me sign a paper so that he had proof he told me. Also, he was trying to sell me on a vein surgery, and seemed so "concerned" but as soon as he saw my insurance wouldn't cover it, the concern was gone. I came her because of all the great reviews and the great deal on Groupon. But I feel like I was just a Groupon case and he was trying to get me back in so I can pay more. read more

Last year, I had more than one surgical procedure done with Dr. Rotgans. He is a very competent, compassionate and attentive doctor. I recommend him with no reservations as well as the whole team at NYC surgical. They are a team that pays attention to every little detail. I have been treated at the Manhattan location as well as the Roslyn one, and have never encountered anything I didn't like. Will definitely go back to them when I need to. I have not been treated by Dr Greuner but I have seen him talk to his team and was very impressed with how he cares about the level of competence of everyone in his team. He was also very attentive with me as a patient if I had a question. I have also been under the care of Dr. Patterson and was very pleased with his work. The nurses are all very nice and attentive. I scheduled an appt for schlerotherapy and I must say I am impressed with the expertise and precision behind the work they do. Dr. Patterson took his time to educate me about the process and possible side effects while offering me different options. It is evident that the doctors here care about the overall well being of their patients. This is telling with the encouragement I received regarding next steps and advice to follow (exercise, compression stockings, etc) Additionally it's clear that the doctors have a strong relationship with one another and share concerns regarding their patients. Dr Rotgans stopped in both times to check in and determine whether I had any additional unanswered questions. Dr. Edelman was very professional and knowledgable about my vein treatment. He took a lot of time to explain the procedure, recovery and outcome. The staff could not be more helpful and friendly. I scheduled an appointment sclerotherapy but was pleasantly surprised when they first did an extensive scan of my venous system to ensure I didn't have any underlying issues that may prevent me from being a candidate for the procedure. The staff was wonderful and I felt fully confident that I was in a place where they have a total interest in the patient. Having been cleared, I saw Dr Rotgans for the sclerotherapy, who took the time to fully explain the procedure and recovery. He meticulously performed the procedure, injecting more veins than I thought he would for the same price. He then wanted to see me in two weeks to check to see if I had healed and to touch up any persistent spider veins. It's been a week and almost all of the veins have disappeared and there is little bruising. I look forward to going there again and have recommended them to others. read more
