This newer vegan spot is really easy to miss on that ever present area of manhattan ave but please don't miss it! GO! Good lord, the vegan dumplings are still so memorable to me and the salad was so healthy, crisp and divine. The pumpkin soup was epic. I moseyed over with a friend one day in late August and decided to get it to go and eat it in McCarren Park. The robot coffee machine was unfortunately down but I plan to return and try again soon. There aren't enough words to describe how INCREDIBLE this place is. Everything from the mouth watering, fresh, nourishing dishes (and immensely varied menu), to the drinks, staff, and customer service is above and beyond! I'm so happy my husband and I found this place. My husband is a vegan but I'm not and we are both obsessed! He loves their CEO burger and has it every time and I've tried a few different things on the menu--faves are the risotto, CEO burger, roasted pumpkin soup, and the Sachi spaghetti. We go several times a week now, not only because we love the food and service but also because the prices are incredibly fair! $10 specials daily too! The ambience and energy in there feels so good and you just can't leave disappointed. Shout out to Noah and Kenzo who always go above and beyond to give us the best service. Only leaving a review because I want this place to succeed. The food was mid, but maybe I just ordered one of their not so good dishes because they have WAY TOO MANY THINGS on the menu. They could curate their menu to like 10 of their BEST items and eliminate the weaker dishes. Staff was so friendly and helpful loved them!!! The atmosphere also needs a MAJOR upgrade, it's SO STERILE like do something aesthetic or fun or hire an interior designer... like other spots in the neighborhood like red rover are so fun to chill in will always return. This place is flopping bc it's empty and sterile and reminded me of a hospital hallway, I just wanted to leave as I waited for my food to be made. Seriously if they were super aesthetically pleasing inside they'd be so much more popular- with a curated menu of ONLY they're good stuff. A unique idea created by a very friendly and helpful innovator. We stopped by on a rainy Sunday to see the Bot in action. Orders are placed through the kiosks on the right and customers can choose whether they want the coffee prepared by a barista or Adam. We obviously opted to see the Bot build our coffee order and had fun watching it in action. The team has had some learnings along the way, like how the cups must be pre-spaced so that Adam can pull them out, but the staff is friendly and actively learning how to improve the experience. I really enjoyed my visit to BotBar and look forward to seeing the upgrades the owner is planning over time! read more

A new concept which is pretty unique as they opened this place last summer( summer 2022 I guess), with a robot serving you a cup of coffee. The cafe has a really cool vibe and the staff is probably the most friendly one I have come across in NYC! They are really helpful and cheerful while providing the service and hats off to them! I decided to go for a latte, the price though is a bit on the higher side probably given Adam the robot is at work. The robot basically picks up the cup and lets coffee pour in it and places the cup down while letting it go after you touch it. Technically, they have done a good job but product wise they should definitely improve on their latte. It wasn't a good one whereas I was expecting them to at least provide a good quality coffee while it wasn't served hot either , it sadly turned out to be a below average one. I also took macarons, they were good! I went for chocolate and pistachio macarons and both were pretty soft and melted in the mouth. Overall a good place to get kids and provide them with some much needed fun and attraction, the Robot though is great but they need a really good internet connection to keep it running during the business hours else it won't work since the robot is the star of the show! As for the latte, I expect them to do better! read more

The ube latte refresher was so good i havent tasted authentic ube like that in a while! I love that they list the protein count next to the food, which is great for people that are vegan but counting their protein! I'm not a vegan and I thought i'd never like Vegan food BUT since Bot Bar has new owners and added a vegan menu I had to give it a try. After a couple of visits, I had - spring rolls, -hot & sour soup, -sesame chicken, -a tofu dish, and just now -mango chicken. and mushroom steak...well i am so impressed. The food was so delicious and they give such big portions, probably enough for two people ... but i ate it all :-) The spring rolls were so crunchy and a great amount of veggies inside....the chicken w/ sesame sauce and the chicken w/ mango sauce was so delicious that I had a hard time believing it wasn't chicken (but it was so much tastier and much more tenderer than a typical Chinese dish). The mushroom street melted in your mouth. I highly recommend this restaurant for Vegans and not vegans who just like great food. Stop in one day and enjoy - I did. read more

They set up this cool bar advertising thing and we walked by and the ppl were like come back later we are setting up. We come back almost two hours later and try to order and no one knew their head from their ass it was literally a guessing game. The ppl Outside said we needed to go inside and order NO ONE mentioned that we needed to order through a kiosk it was literally a guessing game. We then order and go back outside and said okay we ordered and they said okay so me and my husband are literally guessing because they said that "Adam" was dancing. So we go inside and she's like "oh yeah Adam is being lazy right now" the whole experience was to see the stupid bot do its thing. Apparently the ppl that are here have no brains just like Adam.
