4/5/2021 - UPDATED Review Very sad to have to write a negative review, and I rarely post online reviews - but it's important for potential clients to see a full range of consumer experiences to make an informed decision. My experience - based on a fee of over $2650 per "match" - was very discouraging. The company provided introductions to people that were not good matches. In fact, they didn't even come close to matching key criteria - agreed upon in advance. As a result, it was one of the worst (and most expensive) consumer experiences of my life. Note that company founder Michelle promised to keep the lines of communication OPEN with her personally - from the start of the paid contract - which she never honored. Indeed, she never spoke to the client even once, as promised - after she was paid & the service started. Not once! The company that recommended Michelle to me expected that SHE would be the matchmaker - and was surprised to learn that she was NOT (and they supported a refund). Instead, Michelle assigned a less-experienced staffer to the case - and refused to speak to the client at all, after payment. Even after the staffer recommended I speak to Michelle. It's also worth noting that Michelle is a former lawyer - skilled at undermining the credibility of anyone with any concerns about her business. She put those skills to work in her rebuttal to my review - attacking the "messenger" who has serious concerns about the quality of her services. She called these concerns "harassment" - a misleading attempt to avoid the FACTS below. Yes, broken promises hurt trust from the get-go - but every attempt was made to have a POLITE call with Michelle, which she refused from the outset - even BEFORE any problems occurred! She's right that it took hours going in circles on the phone - all of which could be avoided by a simple call. Not great customer care, of course. As I told Michelle, the key to resolving any business concerns is good COMMUNICATION. But I couldn't get her to talk to me - even once - after she was paid. That's a fact, documented in emails. This was long before the FINAL days she refers to below. Stressful? You bet. But there were many opportunities to nip all this in the bud - LONG before then. It's not rocket science: If Michelle had actually TALKED to her customer, we could've found a mutually-satisfactory solution. Instead, after a negative review, Michelle "shoots the messenger" - like a good lawyer, trying to paint my concerns as "harassment" - when the ONLY GOAL is some accountability for the quality of her services. And to actually talk to her as promised! Simple as that. FACT 1: Michelle refused to have even a single call about any of these concerns - for over a month after the contract began. Indeed, despite repeated, polite requests for a good-faith discussion where both sides could present relevant facts, Michelle wrote, "We will NOT respond to any emails/calls about this matter." FACT 2: Michelle also misrepresented my prior experience with another company - resolved amicably - that she had nothing to do with. FACT 3: The "incessant calls/emails" she complained about were simply repeated requests for the recommended customer service call with Michelle (even a SINGLE call!) - which were ignored. Like a good lawyer, her goal was to attack the "witness's" credibility in this case - who indeed had serious concerns about the quality of her work (or lack of communication) - trying to make it look like she did a "great" job. With all due respect, not ever talking to your customer as promised is not doing a great job. Michelle tried to make this review about the "reviewer" - instead of her COMPANY - and never addresses the reviewer's actual concerns here. That's the purpose of a review. So obviously, trust was damaged a bit from the start (after nice calls with her staffer). But instead of responding to these concerns in a business-like way, Michelle makes multiple, dramatic, false charges below - including "blackmail" & "screaming" - none of which occurred. All concerns were conveyed in good faith for months, giving the owner every chance to respond. It never happened - now as well - as you can see from her response. Adding false statements about so much (even DATES) doesn't help us get anywhere - in a calm, reasoned way. That was my goal. Every customer has the right for a response to these concerns - and not to be attacked for reasonably presenting them, as I've done again here. Trying to actually have a call with her as she promised (and as recommended by her staff) is not "threatening, disrespectful & harassing behavior" as she claimed - just an appeal to discuss genuine customer service concerns. It's all documented in emails. I've always sincerely appreciated reputable companies - that are happy to have polite conversations with customers about any concerns. It's clearly better for everyone - both the business & the customer! read more

Despina was an absolute angel. I'm a surgical resident and my schedule is out of control busy. She was patient with me, not overly forceful and made herself available for me when I was able to talk about what was important to me. She really took care to make sure that if my interests changed she was aware, and that she understood what my values were and how flexible she (and a possible partner) would need to be. I was in a long term relationship in the past with a partner who passed away, so optimism and commitment are hard for me. She made me feel completely comfortable, heard, and understood. She shared in my successes and when I met someone I really liked I could hear the excitement in her voice, which made me appreciate her all the more. Even though we haven't had the chance to meet in person yet because of COVID era situations, she already feels like a friend and confidant. I am very warm and open by nature and find it easy to meet people but finding datable quality in New York can be tricky to put it gently. I really found Michelle's thoughts and suggestions valuable and helpful. I think that you need to be at a certain point in your life and open to suggestions. I found her suggestions and information relevant, useful, and successful. I would and have referred her to some friends. I think she offers an upbeat insight and is a good match for someone who would like suggestions and help finding a better quality of men for a relationship. She offered suggestions about places to go, how to look, and certain body language. I found her to aid a better connection but not diminish my natural personality. I liked that she listened and had questions for me helping to steer me in a better direction and figuring out what I am looking for in a man. In today's world of online dating, instant gratification and endless choice make it really difficult for individuals to find someone to go on a second date with, let alone find a life partner. After being really frustrated by the traditional online dating route, I decided to hire a matchmaker to do the heavy lifting for me. Enter Michelle, and her senior matchmaker, Kira, who I have worked with extremely closely. Kira started by asking me what I was looking for in a partner, and encouraged me to be as specific and as concrete as I could be in my description of them. Afterwards, she confirmed what we discussed, and started screening matches for me based on my selection criteria. This is the best part about working with her -- by the time you go on a date with someone, you've already gotten the first couple of dates worth of boilerplate out of the way with your potential match. Your date will know about (and be okay with!) your dealbreakers, and vice versa. Thus far, I have went on one date that was arranged by Kira, and although she wasn't a match for me, it was one of the best first dates that I have been on in a while. The process is working!
