We were on the list for a dock space for almost 5 years. When we found a dock space somewhere else, a dock space here magically appeared. We utilized their services to winterize our boat and was informed that it needed a bunch of repairs and that they could get to it over the winter. Have stored my boat here for the past several years even though the price goes up every year. Most years without issue. They made my wife mad several years ago so she won't go inside ever. Seems the old woman/ owner said we how'd to wait for the salesman to come back from lunch to talk to him about buying a boat. Waited an hour for what turned out to be the grandson and who could answer only a few questions. When I realized I knew more about the boat than he did I asked for a price. He said he had to go ask the grandmother ( the original woman we spoke to) for a price. Why did the old women make us wait when she controlled the selling price anyway. Wasted two hours of my life and no boat! This year I called to get my boat out of storage. Picked it up this morning and was met with a $216 bill for a new battery and cables. Not as much as a phone call for approval. I do not appreciate repairs being made to any of my vehicles without authorization. Would have done it if they asked but the boat was running and starting just fine when I took it in. For that reason I question if the repair was even necessary to begin with. She said they noted it on my work order last fall that the work needed done but still after 7 months still no phone call. The said it was muskrat or beaver damage from chewing through th battery cables. I doubt it but it is possible. Resolution: paid the bill and explained that one phone call could have save $500 in revenue annually from me. She said "we have over 200 boats we store, so we are pretty busy." To which I said then I guess 199 is you limit. I'll grant you the extra time in th future, cause I won't be bac! Not the amount of the bill, it is just bad business to assume it is ok for you to work on MY boat without MY permission! I do not recommend this place! read more

I could not be happier with the service I have gotten from Nye's Marina! I'm a snowbird and basically bought my boat over the phone from FL. Colleen answered all of my many questions and really went out of her way to get me in the perfect boat. Dustin gave me a very thorough, very helpful sea trial. This is my first pontoon and is a bit different from my other boats so getting comfortable with it was very important to me. I have had the best experiences with Nye's, and would recommend them to anyone looking into boating on Conneaut Lake. As a novice boater, they welcomed me to boating and encouraged me as I switched over from a very small boat to purchasing a larger pontoon through them. They are always quick to help people get back on the lake if you have any issues, and they are just the nicest people! Additionally, they could not make having a boat be any easier on the owner as far as putting it in and out of the water at the beginning and end of season and they are happy to work around your schedule when you need to have any service done. Great service. Friendly staff. My husband purchased our boat there many years ago so we've been doing business there for a long time. Boat started stahling so we took it into them for service, they worked on it and it ran great all summer and was a relatively cheap fix. We were very happy. Drove by yesterday and saw all of the boats they have stored in the blue plastic. Ours is one of those sitting there while we anxiously await spring! We highly recommend Nyes Marina!!! read more

Called ahead and drove all the way up to rent a boat slip for the season. Thye had slips available for our size boat and while very expensive, we decided to get one anyway as this is my daughter's senior year and she will be off to college in the fall, so wanted to get out on the lake more this summer. When we got there, the critchety old woman owner said our boat was too big at only 25' !! The aisles are plenty wide, and slips will fit a 26 - 27 ' easily. We noticed that almost all the boats were old pontoon boats. So apparently these two old bags just want old pontoons in there marina and don't want nice, new upscale boats. I'm sure the chamber of commerce is thrilled that Nye's Matina is turning away people from the town who would be spending a lot of money in local restaurants, shops, purchasing marine supplies, etc. don't ever buy a boat from Nye's. They lie and cheat their customers (see other review about jacking up prices). Nye's acts like they are doing YOU some big favor by taking your money. Run away..before they do take your money, and give you terrible service in return !! read more
