Made the trip to Mountain Ridge Adventures when my family found out that Howe High Adventures at Howes Cavern was closed. This turned out to be fortuitous for myself and my daughter. I booked the 3-hour obstacle course and zip line adventure for myself and my 10-year old daughter. We finished the Ground Course - learning how to use the buckles, cables, and connections. From there, we moved on to the multiple obstacle courses. After about 2+ hours of going through the obstacle courses, we moved on to the zip lines. Everything was going smoothly until my daughter got stuck in the middle of the 4th or 5th zip line. One of the instructors raced out, made contact with her, and brought her safely back to the next station. From there, we finished up and made our way to the ground. The staffing was excellent and very helpful. This is a place you can bring the family if they can overcome their fears of height. It was an insane amount of fun and would repeat in a heartbeat. read more

owner is shady. my son was too nervous to start and the owner refused the refund or give future credit even though he didn't do a single thing. My son was crying and the owner stated that we shouldn't have came if we were afraid of heights. no apologies. dont give them your money. We were looking for an ADVENTURE and we FOUnD it!! I was able to communicate with Micheal before reserving via the YELP app. So communication was 100%. We were welcomed by the staff and we were able to sign in with no problem. The only down fall was that the GO PROs were out of service. No biggie, i was refunded the $24.99 and I was able to record my family having fun. Jenna was patient & I couldn't thank her enough because my family was taking a little longer than other patrons. My family got to complete up until the Glory course and ended the day with the zip lining course. Pricing was definitely worth it. Adult : $54.99 and Child: $34.99, and it was easy to reserve online. We were fortunate to go there on a sunny afternoon, when the sun was bright impeded by the tall trees. I won't get into the details of how big the area is. Just to point it out that I and my wife were ziplining for the first time in my life and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Especially the instructor (in the picture) was very meticulous, enthusiastic and patient. My wife has a fear of heights and the instructor made it a point to stay with her all throughout and help her complete all the 10 ziplines ranging from the short ones to the long ones. read more

So much fun! My son loved it! Haleigh was our guide and she was great. Super nice and very patient with my son. She even got him to do the 40 foot free jump and he was so scared but adored it. Although it was 2.5 hours away from us, we would go back! Tons to do. We were there for 2 hours but there was more to do that we didn't get this time but will definitely try out next time. We found the groupon deal $59 for two. It came with the treetop 3hr challenge. I'm sooooo happy we did it! The entire experience was awesome. We truly appreciate the time spend on safety, showing us how to use the keys locking in etc. It was our first time zip lining and after a few obstacles we were settled and comfortable to keep pushing. We felt totally secure knowing that at all times were were safely connected to something. I told a few friends about it and we just might be making another trip. Zombie Ziplining left much to be desired. They did not handle the separation of people at all well (Night Terrors Haunted Farm did a wonderful job). There was plenty of space (woods) and yet somehow they had the people leaving and the people coming all have to squish past each other so close your bodies touched. There was no temperature check (again Night Terrors did this) and no spacing from other parties that you had not come with. There were very few monsters/zombies, you were asked to come early to wait in line for a very long time, and the entrance was not well lit with no staff to help let you know you were there. Perhaps I should not have gone to Night Terrors the night before as I wouldn't have had that to make the comparisons. But I did and for half the price I had twice the fun. The ziplining was safe and certainly unique in the dark. read more

Another great experience yesterday. The courses are fun and challenging, but the guides are there to help if you have any issues at all. We had two adults with 4 11-year-olds and everyone had a great time. Parents not willing/able to be up on the course with us could follow on the ground. Hi Michael, I didn't bring up the refund situation but since you did...I didn't request a refund for myself but for my friend who didn't even finish the first zipline because she felt unsafe. I only mentioned my experience since I completed it. As I stated during my time, the 'guides' were primarily focused on the obstacles. For example, I had to call a 'guide' when we first started because my friend was nervous and concerned as she was unsure if she was doing it right. Took my parents on a Zipline tour for their anniversary and we had a wonderful time! We've been very nervous to go out of our comfort zone in this pandemic but they were very transparent about their proper Covid procedures online, and they followed through. One group per tour, enforced social distancing, all guides and staff wore masks and all equipment was sanitized between uses. And of course, you're outside. Our guide, Hayleigh? was very thorough and took her time, making sure we all truly understood the steps and could get across safely on our own. My wife went here with 5 kids. Check in was quick and efficient, done on tablet. One of the kids didn't have their parental waiver and staff accommodated via phone/email... awesome! The instruction was excellent and all felt safe. The courses were quite the challenge and kept all interested for the 3 hrs they were there. One of my kids is a shorty so she complained a bit on the more difficult courses, which require a good deal of upper body strength, especially for a vertically challenged girl. (green and orange courses were fine for her though...) We'll definitely go again. read more

My dad took me here as a birthday gift and we had a great time. The guides took our safely seriously but didn't let that get in the way of making sure we had a great time, each section of the course has a theme. And the best part (in my opinion) was the zip like course, it's 9 consecutive zip lines crisscrossing over a ravine, and there's one sloth where you can high five another person if you time it right! Just discovered this place earlier in the week while browsing LivingSocial and happened upon their deal for $59 for 2 three-hour passes to the challenge and zipline courses. I wondered how we'd never heard about this place being that our vacation cottage is just 20 minutes away, but it turns out they have only been open a month. What a much-needed place for this area! My dad (65) and me (31) went and had an absolute blast. We are adrenaline junkies and very active, but some parts of this course were challenging even for us. It was a lot of fun. Our guide, Ryan, was really knowledgeable and his passion for this was so obvious. I liked that he was nearby if we had a question, but gave us space to do our own thing. The "key in, key out" safety system made it impossible to screw up so knowing we were always safe allowed us to enjoy our time without worrying. There are three adventure courses, so after you learn the system, you start with the easy one and can progress to moderate and then challenging, but you don't have to go in order or can repeat a course more than once. After the three courses, we ended our visit with the zipline course, a series of ziplines that pass each other, which was insanely fun. They mentioned that they are adding two more courses (I think more difficult ones?) and we will definitely be back again to try those. They told us that they chose to invest in the best equipment rather than flashy facilities, which I appreciate, but even their portapotty was the cleanest one I've ever been in. Had the opportunity to visit Mountain Ridge Adventure during our stay in NY and was not disappointed. It was a quick drive up to the location from town and had a blast. We spent the afternoon here as a family, and it was a great experience. We got great photos and videos to share with friends, and everyone challenged themselves and had fun. I have been to many of these types of courses, and have been an outdoor and environmental educator for more than 20 years, and I was very impressed with the staff, who despite being young, were patient, confident, and very competent. We even had the occasion to see several members of our party "rescued" from a variety of situations that they got themselves into. The staff remained calm and seemed to have a solution to any problem we could create. I would recommend this to anyone who isn't too scared of heights to have a great afternoon and to create some great memories. (My only advice is to use the restrooms before you go - they only have a port-o-potty in the parking lot, and to bring lots of water and bug spray!) read more

My sister and I did the tree top adventure course that includes zip lining, and it was such a great experience! The staff (we were led by Olivia, who we loved!) were all very friendly and knowledgeable, understanding of our limits but encouraging us to go through all that the courses had to offer. The courses were challenging yet innovative, and we had a great time seeing how far we could push ourselves while enjoying the outdoors. Also, I would like to point out that the safety equipment and training is top notch here. That way all you have to worry about is having an amazing time! Had an amazing time even though it was 25 degrees out. Chuck our guide helped my 7 year old down after he got scared on the first part of the initial challenge. My son did not want to go anymore. While my girlfriend and I continued on the challenge with my other son, Chuck spent time with Sebastian taking him on a smaller zip line to get him to feel more comfortable. Sebastian eventually wanted to try again and Chuck spent the entire time helping him through the rest of the challenge completing it successfully. My boyfriend and I went for Zombie Ziplining night in October for a date night and had a blast! It was really fun and scary walking through the woods to the actual adventure course and they had great decorations! The zip lines were extremely fast and they were even more fun at night in the dark! We both enjoyed our time thoroughly and everybody who worked there was really nice. I took two of my children, ages 10 & 13 to Mountain Ridge Adventures yesterday. I can not say enough about this place. My kids have been ziplining in many parts of the world including the country of Luxembourg as well as on the island of Kauai. Mountain Ridge Adventures is top notch, leagues ahead of any place we have been. The course is beautiful, the location is stunning, but the most impressive thing is the staff. Owners and operators Michael and Olivia are about the nicest people you could meet and their staff, especially Zack, are second to none. I am well beyond impressed. Extremely unorganized and the owner is unprofessional and rude. We placed reservations online for the 3 hour time frame 3-6PM with the closing time being 6PM. We were under the impression our group would have availability at that time because of our reservation however, that was not the case. The courses were overcrowded, because of this we were told to either wait for an opening or we could start zip lining and do the obstacle courses second. Once starting the zip lining experience a call came through to our guide over the walkie talkie asking our guide where he was. There was a young girl in the group with us and the guide explained that he wanted to be sure she didn't need help. The man on the other end replied, "Yup, she'll need help!" and laughed sarcastically. Unknowingly saying it right in front of her and her entire family. The guide did a good job reflecting by responding she'll prove you wrong however the comment should have never been made. Unprofessional. Once completing zip lining we arrived back to the obstacle course start point. We waited over 30 minutes with no one to assist us, we were under the impression we were to just move on since we were given no further direction. After almost completing the first obstacle course the owner came over if we were "locked in by an instructor"... I informed him that we were not. He rudely retaliated with "Yeah, we don't do that here." I explained that we waited for over 30 minutes for someone and we assumed we were to move forward since we were already instructed how to use the course. It was a misunderstanding... He was very mean and responded that we should have came back to front and asked someone to help us... I explained that I understood however that was a more professional way that he could have told us this. He continued with rude remarks throughout the duration of our time and claimed that his unprofessionalism was our fault as we "left the door open for it". We left early due to the experience, he made us highly uncomfortable. Just my opinion but there should be enough staff to appropriately navigate groups through the course. The customer should not have to go find someone to find out what to do next...As for the course, the zip lining was okay approximately 30-40 ft off the ground however the obstacle courses were at a child's level. Advice: This place needs structure... -Stick to your reservations. -Hire more staff. -Give direction on the course outline at the beginning if you are going to leave people unattended. -have one guide per group instead of lumping multiple groups together. -Owner increase professionalism and respect for customers. I will not be returning here and will be going to Adirondack Extreme from here on out. A little more expensive but well worth the additional 10$. read more

Our athletic South Jersey family (ages 15-22 +dad) have been to 4 other adventure courses on the East Coast. Mountain Ridge Adventure is the best one so far! We called made reservations and filled out the electronic waivers online.Check in was simple with the most friendly young lady you could ever meet.Their 3 hour obstacle courses were fun and challenging and designed to have you use your core not just upper body strength. The carabiner locking system is state of the art and the safest our group has ever experienced, as well as, every other piece of equipment used. You can be a bystander and watch the experience from below on their beautiful manicured trails. Our leashed, well behaved dog enjoyed the outdoor facility and the loving attention. It was extremely reasonably priced. The owner Mike's staff (including his son) were extremely friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and experienced. Highly recommend this for couples, families, church groups, athletic teams,jrotc, birthday parties or the individual who would like to try something different. Glenville should be proud! read more
