When I sat down, the nail technician began my French tip manicure, but the lines were crooked and much thicker than I wanted. She redid them three separate times, yet they still looked the same. After explaining that I wasn't happy with the results and wanted the French tips removed, I was repeatedly asked if I was sure. After one week, the color was chipping and peeling on several of my fingers, which should be unheard-of for this service. I returned for them to be fixed, which took a very long time even without a wait. The following day, two more fingers began to chip, which is really frustrating. As someone who's been doing dip powder consistently for years and has a firm understanding of how it works, it is clear to me that the techniques and products that this salon uses for this service aren't built to last at all. At my usual nail salon (which happened to be closed when I visited Pretty Lady), I pay $10 less for a dip powder manicure that lasts 3 weeks-- not 1. Perhaps Pretty Lady is much better with gel manicures or pedicures, but I would not pay a premium dip powder price for such a poor outcome. Hopefully, their technicians can receive better training (and use a dip powder base-- not a gel polish base!) before performing this service for $45.

I decided to treat her to get her nails done with me. My nails didn't really need to be redone, but I figured we're here. We want to spend quality time together. I wanna get rid of my New Year's eve nails, and do something cute for the end of January before I make an appointment at my usual place in Los Angeles For Valentine's Day nails She used to be a frequent goer at Eagleville while we had initially attempted to go somewhere else closer to where she lived we decided to go and try this place out when we walked in. She informed me her usual nail lady wasn't there so we just went with whoever was first available We ended up, leaving not loving our nails, but because I had to catch a flight, we settled on what we got They have one lady named Heather doing the nail design although she's really sweet and she could do hearts pretty well. It seems that replicating even the simplest designs didn't produce quality work. My friend and I had an initial text who prepped the nails for Heather I can't speak for my friend, but I know that while she received a full set, the nails didn't fit her nail bed, and that caused an issue when it came to her designs The girl who initially worked on my nails, filed my old gel polish off so much so that I could see she caused rings of fire on my nail beds and then drilled a hole in my right ring finger, causing me to have to lose significant length because I would need to Trim all my nails to match My shape although I was on her to make them round are still often lumpy and skewed on some sides after the fourth time of correcting her I just gave up and figured I'm only paying $35 for these nails. I can get them fixed in Los Angeles when the time comes Usually I pay in LA the price I paid for my gel manicure with design and my friends full set gel manicure with design. Additionally, aside from my nails, not being shaped properly and application of polish being applied lumpy the color is completely off I initially wanted her to give me OPI's put it in neutral as my base, but I don't think she understood that nor do I think they had that color in stock so she suggested bubble bath which I have gotten in multiple times before as a French base However, when she put the first application on, I knew it wasn't the correct color we all know bubble bath is a sheer pink that's a perfect nude for a base French however, this one's really opaque and it turns my normal French tips into pink and whites which isn't really a vibe I want as I'm not stuck in the 90s But again after correcting her multiple times, I gave up because I had a flight to catch, and the overall cost wasn't worth the fight nor the quality I was getting My friend had a very similar experience with respect to polish application and design where she had to correct Heather and show her the reference photo multiple times but after correcting the application she just gave up given. We were on a time constraint I needed to catch a flight. I keep learning this lesson to never cheat on my nail ladies, especially when I'm out of town but again I want to do something nice for my friend. I'll live with the poor design. I'll live with the color. I'll live with the lumps. I'll live with the crookedness, and ill live with the unevenness. Just kinda bummed this was meant to be a fun girls bonding experience especially with it being my last day in Philly and it turned out to be a waste of money and disappointment
