We can't speak highly enough about the incredible workmanship by Preston on the installation of our front security screen door. From start to finish, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. His attention to detail is impressive and craftsmanship remarkable. Mahalo for fitting us into your busy schedule to accommodate our travel plans. The door is working and looking better than we could have imagined. Preston/ Oahu Windows and Doors is the real deal! We would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone. read more

I worked with Preston to request a quote for a bathroom door replacement. The service also required painting and sealing. During a free on-site assessment, Preston answered all our questions & discussed several options before we decided what we needed. Preston prepared our quote within 24 hours, and the pricing was very fair & reasonable. We needed the door replaced within 4 weeks in preparation for guests, but Preston was able to schedule us within 2 weeks of accepting the quote. Installation day: Preston arrived 10 mins early to set up, and work was handled by Preston, Nick O., and a 3rd worker I didn't get the name of (sorry). All 3 were very professional and friendly. They were also all very patient and nice with our dog who kept barking at them. The doorframe they were working with is nonstandard size and uneven, but they successfully fit a new door without issues and within the schedule. They were self-sufficient and didn't need to ask me many questions or need my help with anything, which made the day really easy for me. The door looks great, fits perfectly, and is super smooth. Extra extra bonus points: They actually left our carport cleaner than when they arrived.... THANK YOU! Very happy & highly recommend. Mahalo, Tatiana & Nick read more

I highly recommend Oahu Windows and Doors . Preston did an exceptional job in working with me to order a new fiberglass front door to replace the worn out one I had. He followed up on the replacement and excellent with follow through and communication. Nick and George came out to my house and replaced my old door with a brand new fiberglass door. They did a very detailed job in painting the door, installing stainless steel hinges and replacing my locks and deadbolt with brand new brass antique colored locks. They communicated well and told me exactly what they are doing and the progress of the job. After the door and locks were installed, they did a walk through to make sure that I was satisfied and if I had any questions or concerns. I highly recommend Oahu Windows and Doors and highly recommend Preston, Nick and George. Thank you very much for the awesome job! I love my new door and locks and deadbolt!! read more

I'll only take the time to do 5 star or 1 star reviews. 1st) Reading reviews influences a big part of my decision in choosing a contractor, 2nd) support local, 3rd) response & reliability and 4) competitive pricing. I got 3 bids as this was a big project. The deciding factor in my choice to hire O'ahu Windows was knowing that if I had problems with these windows in years to come, I know I could call Preston - owner and he'll respond ASAP. Preston explained the process as you still need to purchase the windows from another company which provides a lifetime warranty. He provides the measurements to the window manufacturer that he's been working with. I was advised every step of the project since sign my approval. It took about 2 months manufacturing and once it was shipped Preston contacted me once it arrived for scheduling. He brought a 6 crew member over and I was amazed to see such teamwork!!! Excellent bunch of workers! You never one guy standing around with nothing to do. Amazing teamwork with completed my project of replacing 10 windows in 2 days! The windows are very nice and manufactured well. They also worked very neat and cleaned up my home. I highly recommend this company. Much thanks Preston and the crew!! read more

Spoke to one of the owners. He's knowledgeable and honest. Any person would appreciate that.

Had yelp for years and never felt compelled to leave a review before. These guys were awesome, they went above and beyond for my window replacement. I had rusted old windows that were installed completely wrong and water was pooling through my windows when it rained. Called these guys during the storm in a panic and they responded quickly and didn't push my repairs back. (Called a few other company's prior and they wanted to push back my repairs since I was only repairing two windows). They explained every step of the way and any time they ran into any difficulties from the previous installers they informed me of them and already had multiple solutions. They didn't rush through the job at all and repaired things around the window on their own so that the rest of the area around the window looked just as new as the windows. Their work ethic and skills are truly unmatched, hoping they expand their services because I would trust them with any home repair. read more

The door to my lanai screeched when I opened it. I wasn't able to tell where the awful sound was coming from. I tried a few things, but no improvement. I asked Yelp for a recommendation and Oahu Windows and Doors contacted me very quickly. They said they would send Nick, "our repair guy," out to take a look and give me an estimate on a repair. Nick arrived exactly at the appointed time, took a quick look (and listen) at my door and diagnosed the problem in a minute or two. Then, since the problem was a seal on the door, asked me if I simply wanted him to remove the seal to stop the sound, and gave me the pros and cons of doing so. I said yes and he removed the seal and put things back together. He gave me some tips on what to use to lubricate the door, as well as--if I ever wanted to replace the door--what I should look for and how to save money. Nick was knowledgeable, personable and effective in solving my problem. I highly recommend Oahu Windows and Doors. read more

From the initial inquiry to the installation it was awesome working with Preston on our patio door project! He's very responsive to his customers needs & provides quality installation & customer service! We got a Pella patio door from Lowe's since we didn't need something special. Here's my before & after pics, note our original door was over 30 years old so I chose to put new trim. Also they used PVC trim which has many advantages over wood. If you need any installations that they offer I'd highly recommend Preston & his well deserved 5 star company! read more

This review should count as two five star reviews since they installed windows on both my house and my fathers' in the same day. We both are 100% satisfied. My windows look great and have significantly reduced the noise coming from outside. The customer service is outstanding, exemplified by the owner Preston. I used Preston's Wrac to replace some of my window screens. Communication was good, and we were able to schedule an appointment quickly. Nick went the extra mile to make sure that the screens were suitable for my windows, that the screens could be easily removed for cleaning, and that old hardware was removed and holes filled in and painted. He also adjusted my screen door so it closes better (it was a self install that didn't go that well). The estimated price for the work was fair. Thank you! read more

Believe the five-star reviews. I'm so glad that I did. We are customers for life after our first-rate experience with Oahu Windows and Doors. We had a rusting security door that needed replacement. I reached out to Oahu Windows and Doors based on their glowing reviews. I got a same day response from Preston. Nick then guided us through the options. No high-pressure sales, just a very helpful presentation of a wide range of options. When installation day came, we could not have been more impressed with the quality and value of their work. Considering the time and workmanship, their labor charge was shockingly reasonable. Our old door had been poorly installed by the contractors from the store where we purchased it, requiring two hands and coordination to open it. Our new door installed by Oahu Windows and Doors locks very securely and literally opens with a finger. Our neighbors have been complimenting us on it and asking who did such a great job. We are delighted to refer them to this treasure of a local business. read more

Requested a quote to replace screens for windows and sliding doors as well as installation of a screen door. Preston responded quickly and was able to set up a walk thru next business day. Estimate provided was reasonable compared to some other numbers that we saw. Preston and Nick did the repairs and installation. They were very easy to talk to and I could see that they really cared about the quality of their work. They even did a few things to help our screen doors function better when they noticed some issues. It shows they care about what they do. I have a 1940's house in need of new wooden frame screen windows. I checked around and the only one that does those wooden framed screen windows would be a carpenter and the cost was prohibitive. The only alternative were aluminum framed screen windows. The house is raised with storage and laundry on the ground floor. I needed to have the ability to remove the screens from the inside rather than the standard outside clips. Nick was able to do research and came out with a solution. They did an excellent job, very neat and professional. Nick explained well my different options. I would highly recommend them. read more

Preston and Nick are total pros. They repaired my double hung window - and it's better than new. The spring coil broke and the upper sash would not stay up. Since Preston is so experienced, he was able to remove the broken coil and add a new one without having to cut the vinyl frame. So it looks like there never even was a repair. Additionally, they had excellent communication, and I really appreciate Preston's friendly demeanor! Would recommend this company without reservation. Hopefully I don't need a Window Repair soon, but I know who I'm gonna call when the time comes. read more

We had to replace a broken double pane window and called multiple glass/glazer companies which quoted us fairly high prices (average over $400) and long wait times to complete the project (3-5 weeks). Very grateful we found Preston's Wrac via Yelp. Preston made the effort to ensure we received the best value and provided us with several options all of which were below other quotes we received.
